Triple interface with Four Drive Modes -
Striping, Mirroring, JBOD, and Spanning.
Glyph's GT 062 is a two drive tabletop designed for professional audio
and video applications, and supports four drive modes. JBOD (individual
volumes) is very well suited for audio production, and Spanning mode
simply shows the two internal drives as one large volume. RAID 0
(striping) is designed for increased performance by reading and writing
data from both drives at the same time. RAID 1 (mirroring) offers data
redundancy and real-time backup by writing the same data to the two
internal hard drives at the same time. Should a drive failure happen, data
is still available on the remaining drive. Glyph Manager software, a utility
for Mac OS X and Windows XP, works in conjunction with the GT 062 to
switch between the four internal drive modes, and report the health
status of the GT 062 drives. The back panel features four ports for
multiple connectivity options - two FW800, one FW400, and one USB 2.0.
