opening the packaging and removing items. If a ret rn is needed yo will want to ret rn the prod ct in
its original packaging if possible.
•This instr ction g ide is provided as a GENERAL installation g ide, some vehicles vary dimensionally
and may req ire additional steps.
•Test fit the prod ct on the vehicle prior to any third party modifications and or finishing. The
man fact rer and/or distrib tors do not accept responsibility for third party charges, labor and or
third part replacement modifications. Some modifications may void the factory warranty.

INJURY HAZARD
Please complete a shop and tool inspection prior to beginning the installation.
•Always make s re yo have a clean, dry and well lit work area.
•Always remove jewelry, loose fitting clothing and wear protective gloves and eye protection.
•Always se extreme ca tion when jacking or raising a vehicle for work. Set the emergency
brake and se tire/wheel blocks and jack stands. Refer to the vehicle man fact rer hand
book. Utilize the vehicle man fact rers designated lifting points.
•Always se appropriate and adeq ate care in lifting parts d ring disassembly and
installation. Seek help in lifting heavy or large items into place. Utilize jacks and or lifting
devices when available.
•Always ins re prod cts are sec re d ring disassembly and installation.
•Always wear eye protection and take steps to protect any exposed skin d ring the
installations. Drilling, c tting and grinding plastic and metal may create flying particles that
can ca se inj ry.
•Always se extreme ca tion when drilling, c tting and or grinding on a vehicle. Thoro ghly
inspect the area to be drilled, on both sides of material, prior to modification and relocate
any objects that may become damaged.
•Always assemble and tighten all fasteners per the installation instr ctions.
•Always ro te electrical cables caref lly. Avoid moving parts, parts that may become hot and
ro gh or sharp edges.
•Always ins late and protect all exposed wiring and electrical connections.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE
•Always perform reg lar inspections and maintenance on mo nts and related fasteners.
•Periodically check and tighten all fasteners.
•Stripped, fract red, or bent fasteners m st be replaced.
•After washing the vehicle make s re to f lly dry all s rfaces.
•In areas with cold temperat res make s re to wash the prod ct often to remove harmf l
materials sed on road ways.
•Never se abrasive cleaners or polish compo nds. Clean with a gentle soap and water. If yo
se wax se a non-abrasive a tomotive wax s ch as p re carna ba wax.
WARNING
Some prod cts have been designed to work together with factory rear sensor systems, factory forward facing sensor
systems and factory air bags.
•Installation of some of these prod cts may alter the factory sensor system performance.
•Factory sensors may read shackles or hooks protr ding from the fairlead and or tow hooks.
•All sensor testing is completed by Go Rhino Prod cts and or third party testing labs on modified vehicles.
•Sensor sensitivity, factory sensor ho sing, orientation, and operating conditions are all variables that will infl ence
f nctionality of the sensors.
•Installation of some prod ct may effect the factory air bag systems.
•Some prod cts allow the se of third party prod cts s ch as winches, shackles, hooks, etc. Follow the respective
man fact rers operating instr ctions for se with o r prod cts.
•Make s re to f lly nderstand the prod ct, it’s intended se and operation prior to se.

OEM BUMPER REMOVAL.
STEP #1 Disconnect the factory b mper wiring harnesses from the vehicle wiring harness, (Photo
1).
STEP #2 Remove (2) tree clips and bolt sec ring the wiring harness gro nd wire to the frame,
(Photo 2).

STEP #3 With assistance s pport the rear b mper and remove the (3) n ts on each side of the
vehicle sec ring the factory b mper and receiver hitch to the frame. Remove the b mper from the
vehicle, (Photo 3).
STEP #4 Disconnect the license plate lights, trailer pl g (Photo 4) and If eq ipped disconnect the
back p sensors from the factory b mper wiring harness. Remove the wiring harness from the
factory b mper.

STEP #5 The factory b mper consists of (3) components. Begin by removing the plastic top pad
and center component from the b mper end caps by p lling p from the o tside edge. To ease
removal, the plastic clips can be popped loose from the nderside of the b mper end caps, (Photo
5).
STEP #6 Remove the b mper end caps by removing the (5) bolts sec ring each end cap to the
receiver hitch, (Photo 5).
The factory b mper consists of (3) components. Begin by removing the plastic top pad and center
component from the b mper ends by p lling p from the o tside edge. To ease removal, the plastic
clips can be popped loose from the nderside of the b mper ends, (Photo 5).

STEP #7 Remove the retaining clips and st d plates from the factory receiver hitch, (Photo 7).
STEP #8 C t and remove the b mper attachment flanges for the b mper end caps (driver and
passenger side), and the o tlined area for the trailer pl g mo nt from the factory receiver hitch,
(Photo 8).

BR20 BUMPER REPLACEMENT INSTALLATION
NOTE: If yo are replacing a b mper with rear Park Assist, the sensor detection zone will be
altered with se of this b mper replacement.
STEP #1 If the vehicle is eq ipped with rear Park Assist, remove each sensor from the bezel by
gently spreading the bezel tabs and p lling o t on the back of the sensors. Note: Do not p sh on the
front of the sensor as this may damage the sensor.
STEP #2 Remove the sensor bezels from the factory b mper by depressing the (4) tabs aro nd
the base and p shing the bezel o t thro gh the front of the b mper. Note: The sensors and bezels
have to be positioned in the replacement b mper in the same location (inner and o ter), (driver
and passenger) as removed from the factory b mper.
STEP #3 On each side of the BR20.5 b mper, remove the (2) plastic pl gs from the sensor bezel
brackets that are preinstalled in the b mper.

STEP #4 From the front of the BR20.5 b mper, p sh the sensor bezels into their prec t holes in
the sensor bezel brackets. Make s re to install the bezels in the same position and order as the
OEM b mper.
STEP #5 Transfer the OEM b mper wiring harness with the attached sensors to the BR20.5
b mper. Install the parking sensors into each bezel, making s re to install the sensors in the same
order as they were removed from the OEM b mper.
STEP #6 With assistance attach the receiver hitch and each frame bracket to the frame sing (3)
½” x 1 1/2” hex bolts, (6) ½” flat washers, (6) ½” lock washers, (Photo 1 & 2). Leave the hex bolts
loose for final adj stment.

STEP #7 With assistance attach the b mper bracket to the receiver hitch sing (3) ½” x 1 1/2”
carriage head bolts, (3) ½” flat washers, (3) ½” lock washers and (3) 1/2" hex n t, (Photo 3 & 4).
Leave the hex n t loose for final adj stment.

STEP #8 Align the b mper shell with the vehicle, verify that the tailgate clears when lowered, and
tighten all n ts and bolts, (Photo 5).
STEP #9 Remove the trailer pl g from the factory b mper and install it in the replacement
b mper shell, and reconnect the wiring harness, (Photo 6). NOTE: Remember to check and
retighten all factory and s pplied n ts and bolts periodically.

Go Rhino warrants to B yer that for a period of five (5) years from the date of shipment of the prod ct(s) (“Warranty Period”) for
black finishes and chrome finishes, that s ch prod cts will materially conform to the specifications set forth in Go Rhino’s
specifications in effect as of the date of shipment(s) and will be free from material defects in material workmanship.
Go Rhino warrants to B yer that for the life of the prod ct(s) from the date of shipment of the prod ct(s) (“Warranty Period”) for
polished stainless steel finished prod cts p rchased after April 2004, that s ch prod cts will materially conform to the
specifications set forth in Go Rhino’s specifications in effect as of the date of shipments and will be free from material defects in
material workmanship.
Warranty claims m st be accompanied with the original invoice and photos of the prod ct. It is the c stomer’s responsibility to
clean reg larly and protect finish with reg lar applications of a nonabrasive polish that is compatible with the prod ct’s finish.
This warranty covers the cost of the prod ct only and does not incl de the cost of removal, installation, third party modifications or
shipping of the prod ct. In no event shall Go Rhino be liable to b yer or any third party for any damage or harm ca sed by the
prod ct or se thereof, regardless of weather s ch damages were foreseeable and whether or not Go Rhino has been advised of the
possibility of s ch damages, not withstanding the fail re of any agreed or other remedy of its essential p rpose. This warranty is
void if the prod ct shows signs of alteration, mis se, mishandling, improper care, neglect, improper application and/or damage d e
to improper installation.
With respect to any s ch prod ct(s) d ring the limited warranty period, Go Rhino shall, in its sole discretion, either: (i) provide a
one-time repair or replacement of s ch prod cts (or the defective part) or (ii) credit or ref nd the price of s ch prod cts at the pro
rata contract rate provided that, if Go Rhino so req ests, B yer shall, at Go Rhino’s expense, ret rn s ch prod ct(s) to Go Rhino. The
remedies shall be the B yer’s sole and excl sive remedy and Go Rhino’s entire liability for any breach of the limited warrant(ies).
Go Rhino disclaims all other warranties except to the extent that any s ch warranty cannot be validly disclaimed nder applicable
law.
Finish Limited Warranty:
Limited lifetime on stainless steel prod cts (after April 2004)
5 year warranty on black powder coat prod cts
5 year warranty on chrome prod cts
This warranty does not cover exposed welds
Finish warranty covers peeling, flaking, or cracking. Washing all finishes reg larly with car wash soap and rinsing well with water is
the best method for maintaining the finish on yo r prod cts. Yo m st also protect the finish with nonabrasive a tomotive wax on a
reg lar basis. The se of any compo nd which contains abrasives becomes a self-defeating exercise as the compo nd scratches the
finish and opens it to corrosion. The se of harsh chemicals sed to remove b gs and tar may also ca se the finish to fail and sho ld
be avoided.

All warranty ret rns m st have an approved RGA n mber. The RGA n mber m st be clearly marked on the exterior of the ret rn
