“Power On / Unlock” Button:
Press this button to switch on the scooter system. Front and
rear lights will be turned on. The scooter will be ready for
riding after a beep sound. (Note: Without any interaction, the
scooter will be set into a locked mode automatically after
5 minutes.)
“Power Off” Button:
Press until you hear a beep sound to switch off the scooter
system.
“Lock” Button:
Press until you hear a beep sound to lock the scooter. The
display only shows the lock icon, light icon and SOC (state
of battery charge). The scooter stays in locked mode until
the Unlock Button is pressed or the batteries are completely
discharged. When the scooter is set into lock mode, the anti-
theft function will be activated. If anyone tries to move the
scooter motor, a continuous beep alarm will be generated
while the front and rear lights will be blinking. The motor will
generate resistance power against moving until the motor

BATTERY REPLACEMENT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
9. Maintenance and Repair
Electric scooter cleaning and storage
If the electric scooter’s surfaces are dirty, use a soft moist
cloth to wipe the dirt off.
Tip: Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene or other corrosive
chemical solvents, otherwise it will seriously damage the
body's appearance and internal structure. Ensure that the
electric scooter is turned off, the rubber cover is closed and
sealed and that there are no batteries in the vehicle before
rinsing the scooter with water. Refrain from flushing with
a pressure spray gun, as otherwise there is a hazard of an
electric shock or of water causing internal damage.
When not in use, store the electric scooter in a dry, cool place
indoors, avoid long outdoor storage and take out the batteries.
Exposure to intense sunlight can have a negative impact on
the scooter’s appearance, accelerate the aging of tyres and
reduce the lifetime of the electric scooter and its battery pack.
Battery maintenance
Do not use models or brands of batteries other than Einhell
Power X-Change batteries to avoid safety risks through
battery overheating and catching fire. You can use all
batteries of the Einhell Power X-Change series, including
batteries of different capacities, but 5.2 Ah or more batteries
are recommended. Please note that the range is largely
determined by the battery with the lower capacity and
charge. The performance of the scooters was measured with
2 batteries with 5.2 Ah. Do not touch the battery connector,
disassemble or puncture the shell, and avoid metal objects
short circuiting the contacts of the battery. Non-compliance
may cause battery cell damage or casualties. You must only
use the original charger or other Power X-Change chargers
by Einhell, as the use of other chargers can cause a risk of
damage or fire.
Improper disposal of used batteries may seriously pollute the
environment. Batteries can be recycled and are important
resources. Please comply with local regulations when
disposing this battery pack. After each use, please recharge
the battery and store it, which will help to prolong the battery
life.
Don't store the battery in environments above 30°C or
below 0°C (e.g., do not keep the electric scooter or the
battery pack in the car when exposed to the summer sun).
It is recommended to charge and store the batteries at room
temperature to reach a maximum range. Cold batteries will
lead to a decrease of range. Do not throw the battery into fire,
as it may explode under excessive temperatures. If not
EN

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
used for more than 30 days, please charge the battery, and
store battery or scooter in a dry place at room temperature.
Damages caused by deep discharging are not covered by
warranty.
Avoid full draining of the battery as far as possible. Charging
while there is still some charge remaining can greatly prolong
the battery life. In addition, the battery pack will provide
a higher range and performance at room temperature.
Operation below 0°C will decrease the range and perfor-
mance. Typically, half of the regular range is considered
normal in such low temperatures. When temperature rises
again, the battery's range will recover.
Tip: Even when you are not using the scooter, the batteries
discharge continuously. Therefore, make sure to charge
the batteries regularly even if you are not using the scooter
for a long time. An excessive discharge can lead to severe
and irreversible battery damage. A smart chip records and
controls the battery charge and discharge. After very long
periods without charging the chip might not allow the battery
to recharge for safety reasons. Damages through excessive
discharging are not covered under free warranty but can be
avoided by recharging the battery regularly. For more infor-
mation on the Einhell Power X-Change batteries see page 24, 25.
As soon as the braking performance of the vehicle decreases,
you should visit an electric scooter workshop to change the
brake pads and readjust the brakes if necessary. This also
applies to worn or damaged tyres and tubes as well as
defective lighting systems.

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
ATTENTION, SAFETY INFORMATION!
The battery pack must not be opened or dismantled
under any circumstances, as this can lead to serious
accidents due to electric shock, short circuit or fire.

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
Adjust Disc Brake
If the brake feels too tight, use the Allen key to loosen the
screw anticlockwise, pull the brake to shorten the brake
wire, then tighten the screw again. If the brake feels too
loose, loosen the screw, pull the brake wire out to extend the
wire, then tighten the screw again. (Safety Note: After any
adjustments on the brake system, always check the brakes’
performance on a safe and plane road in a traffic-free area,
before using the scooter again in normal driving conditions!)
Steering Column Wobble Adjustment
If the vertical tube wobbles during riding, stop immediately
and check if the folding mechanism is correctly locked. Use
the Allen key to tighten the screw clockwise as shown in the
figure.
ATTENTION, SAFETY INFORMATION!
Avoid grease or any lubricant on the brake disks,
as this can impair their function and cause injuries
from a fall or an accident. Carefully check the function
of the brakes before every journey.

10. Error Handling
Meaning of the following error messages on the display:
E2: Throttle lever defective or connector disconnected
E4: Motor defective or connector disconnected
E5: Defective brake or connector loose
Does the ELMOTO KICK not respond to the remote control?
Check the charge level of the button cell in the remote control
and the charge level of the batteries in the vehicle. Check if the
batteries have been inserted correctly.
Can you switch the ELMOTO KICK on, but the throttle does
not respond?
Switch the vehicle off and on again and push the scooter for a
few meters.
Is the range not sufficient for your planned trip?
The vehicle can be operated with all Einhell Power-X-Change
batteries. However, batteries of at least 5.2 Ah or higher are
recommended. Lower battery capacities can lead to reduced
range and acceleration. The batteries do not have to be be
equally charged when inserted. However, different states of
charge result in a shorter range. The range is also largely
determined by the battery with the lower charge. Please note
that new batteries are not fully charged.
If you want to cover longer distances, we recommend that you
carry two additional lightweight Power X-Change batteries
with you in your backpack. These can be changed within a few
seconds and increase the range significantly.
