Warnings
The following warnings are for the setup, use, grounding, maintenance, and repair of this equipment. The exclama-
tion point symbol alerts you to a general warning and the hazard symbols refer to procedure-specific risks. When
these symbols appear in the body of this manual or on warning labels, refer back to these Warnings. Product-specific
hazard symbols and warnings not covered in this section may appear throughout the body of this manual where
applicable.
WARNING
WARNINGWARNING
FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD
Flammable fumes, such as solvent and paint fumes, in work area can ignite or explode. To help prevent
fire and explosion:
• Use equipment only in well ventilated area.
• Do not fill fuel tank while engine is running or hot; shut off engine and let it cool. Fuel is flammable and
can ignite or explode if spilled on hot surface.
• Eliminate all ignition sources; such as pilot lights, cigarettes, portable electric lamps, and plastic drop
cloths (potential static arc).
• Keep work area free of debris, including solvent, rags and gasoline.
• Do not plug or unplug power cords, or turn power or light switches on or off when flammable fumes are
present.
• Ground all equipment in the work area. See Grounding instructions.
• Use only grounded hoses.
• Hold gun firmly to side of grounded pail when triggering into pail. Do not use pail liners unless they are
anti-static or conductive.
•Stop operation immediately if static sparking occurs or you feel a shock.Do not use equipment until
you identify and correct the problem.
• Keep a working fire extinguisher in the work area.
BURN HAZARD
Equipment surfaces and fluid that is heated can become very hot during operation. To avoid severe
burns:
• Do not touch hot fluid or equipment.
CARBON MONOXIDE HAZRD
Exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide, which is colorless and odorless. Breathing carbon mon-
oxide can cause death.
• Do not operate in an enclosed area.

Removal
Note: Engage rear wheel brake. Safely elevate front
wheel and support frame to aid in accessing
components on underside of unit.
1. Close manual gas shut off valve on LP-tank, discon-
nect gas supply hose and remove LP-tank.
2. Disconnect gas line (76) from tee fitting (165).
3. Disconnect gas pilot line (71) from flared adapter
(421). Only rotate the nut on gas pilot line (71), while
keeping flared adapter (421) stationary.
4. Disconnect gas line (186) from elbow fitting (161).
Disconnect gas line (48) from elbow fitting (161).
5. To uninstall gas line (48), disconnect other end of
gas line (48) from elbow fitting (32).

6. Unplug electrode wire (217) from pulse fire igniter
(126).
7. Remove gas valve enclosure door (320) from gas
valve enclosure (28).
8. Loosen two screws on gas valve (13) to disconnect
red (top) and white (bottom) thermopile wires (7).
9. Remove screw (148) to disconnect grounding wire
(244).
10. Remove plastic bushings (357and 156) from gas
valve enclosure (28) and from wiring.

11. Pull wires (7 and 244) out of gas valve enclosure
(28).
12. Pull all wires (7, 217 and 244) through hole in arm
(23).
13. Unscrew nuts (97), remove bolts (140) and washers
(123 and 119), then lower arm (23).
14. Remove four burner plate screws (105) to
disconnect burner plate (18) from frame (55).
15. Lower burner plate (18), slide forward on top of arm
(23), and lower back end of burner plate (18) to slide
assembly out.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to wiring, ensure wires are moved
away from burner plate.

Installation
1. Angle front end of new burner plate assembly (18)
over arm (23) and raise assembly up to frame (55).
2. Mount burner plate assembly (18) with four screws
(105) to frame (55).
3. Mount arm (23) with 2 bolts (140), washers (123
and 119) and nuts (97).
4. Connect gas line (76) to tee fitting (165)

5. Connect gas pilot line (71) to flared adapter (421).
Only rotate the nut on gas pilot line (71), while keep-
ing flared adapter (421) stationary.
6. Connect gas line (186) to elbow fitting (161).
Connect gas line (48) to elbow fitting (161).
7. To install gas line (48), connect gas line (48) to
elbow fitting (32).
8. Pull wires (7, 217 and 244) through hole in arm (23).
9. Draw green grounding wire (244) through gas valve
enclosure (28) and reconnect ground wire with
screw (148).

10. Reconnect igniter electrode wire (217) to pulse fire
igniter (126).
11. Draw red and white thermopile wires (7) into gas
valve enclosure (28).
12. Install bushings (357 and 156) onto wires and press
into gas valve enclosure (28).
13. Reconnect red (top) and white (bottom) thermopile
wires (7) to gas valve (13).
14. Screw gas valve enclosure door (320) onto the gas
valve enclosure (28)

15. Safely lower unit while keeping wheel brake
engage.
16. Replace LP-tank, reconnect hose and turn LP-gas
tank valve ON
17. Check for gas leaks at final assembly (see
Operation manual).
