Greenlight Opus Air User manual

1. Machine fails to start
1.1 There is nothing shown on the Display
1. Check that the machine is connected to the power supply using the
power cable (IEC Power Connector) and that the black switch below the
IEC power socket is turned to the on position.
Push down the line (–)
side of the switch to
turn to the on position
2. Open the small drawer above the on/off switch to check if the fuse has
blown. If this is the case, swap the two fuses (the outer one is a spare),
close the drawer and retry.
Instructions to this effect are provided in the following video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXHV4MyN7pI&feature=youtu.be
3. If the machine still fails to turn on, the 5amp fuse on the PCB board
could be blown or the screen is not properly connected. In order to
rectify this, please follow the instructions below.
a) Turn the machine off and disconnect the IEC Cable from the
power source.
b) Rest the machine on its back and remove the 4 screws holding the
front cover to the base.
c) Pull away the front cover.
d) Remove the orange fuse from the PCB and check for black marks
and a broken wire inside which indicate that the fuse has blown.
If it has, please replace it and reconnect it to the PCB board.
e) If the fuse has not blown, please make sure that the ribbon cable
connecting the screen to the PCB board is properly plugged in at
both ends.
f) Replace the front cover of the machine by inserting the 4 screws
into the base and screwing them back in.
1.2 The Displays shows the ‘Emergency Stop’ Error Message
1. Ensure that the emergency stop button is not depressed. If this is the
case, an Emergency stop error message will appear on the display
screen after the Start button on the display board has been pressed.
2. To release the emergency stop button, twist it in a clockwise direction
until it pops up.
3. If the emergency stop button is unable to be released, or if it is released
and the Emergency Stop Error message continues to be shown, then
check that the wires of the Emergency stop button are properly
connected to the PCB and the button mechanism.

a) Turn off the machine and disconnect the IEC Power cable from
the power supply. Open the back of the machine by removing the
3 large screws on the front of the machine and the 2 screws on
the underside of the base which hold the back cover in place.
b) Unscrew the red part of the emergency stop button in order to
release it. Then, unscrew the silver part below the emergency
stop button in order to free the bottom section of the mechanism
from the back cover. On some machines, the silver metal part
may be coloured black.
c) Make sure that the 2 screws which connect the red wires to the
white plastic emergency stop mechanism, as seen below, are
properly screwed in.
d) Rest the machine on its back and remove the 4 screws holding the
front cover to the base.
e) Pull away the front cover.
f) Make sure that the two connector blocks for the emergency stop
button are properly plugged into the PCB board.
g) Put the front cover back on, screw the emergency button back in,
replace the back cover and retry. If the issue has not been
resolved, then follow the instructions overleaf to change the
emergency stop button.

the power supply. Reopen the back cover. Remove the 2 screws

mechanism, as seen below.

emergency stop mechanism by inserting part A into the top of
part C to form part D, the opposite side to the screws. Once these
two parts are secured together they will not be able to be
separated.

emergency stop mechanism.
l) Reattach the back cover of the machine by inserting the 3 screws
