TheSLEEPmodeisavailableonlyinCOOLandFAN only
settings.
PresstheSLEEP modepadanditslightwillilluminate.
Thefanindicatorwillstayatthesamesettingbuttheair
conditionerwillautomaticallychangetheFAN speedto
lowineitherCOOLorFAN onlymode.
InFAN onlymode,thefanwillstayintheLOW speed
settingfor8hours.After8hours,theairconditionerwill
resumethesettingsthatwereinplacebeforetheSLEEP
modepadwaspressed.
InCOOLmode,thefanwillstayintheLOW speed
settingfor8hoursfromthetimetheSLEEPmodepad
waspressed.Theairconditionerwillalsoraisetheset
point2°Fin30minutesand2°Fmoreinanother30
minuteswhereitwillremainforthenext7hours.After8
hours,theairconditionerwillresumethesettingsthat
wereinplacebeforetheSLEEPmodepadwaspressed.
WhiletheunitisinSLEEPmode,pressinganypadwill
returnittothesettingsthatwereinplacebeforethe
SLEEPmodepadwaspressed.
8. FilterResetPad
Thisfeatureautomaticallynotifiesyouthattheairfilter
mustbecleaned.Theindicatorlightwillcomeonafter240
hoursof operation. Cleantheair filter (refertopage6),
placeitbackinthefrontpanel,andpresstheFilterReset
pad.Thelightwillgooff.
9. Wi-FiPad

DoNotOperateinFreezingOutdoorConditions
Thiscool-onlyairconditionerwasnotdesignedforfreezing
outdoorconditions. Itmustnotbeusedwhentheoutdoortemperatureisbelow
freezing(32°F).
CoolMode
Usethe Cool modeatLow, Med, High or Speed for cooling.
Usethe Temperature Increase ޔ /Decrease ޕ padsto set
thedesired temperature between64°Fand 86°F in1°F
increments.
Anelectronic thermostat isusedto maintain theroom
temperature.The compressor willcycleon and offtokeep
theroom at thesetlevel of comfort.Setthe thermostat ata
lowernumber and theindoorair will becomecooler.Set the
thermostatat a highernumberand the indoorairwill become
warmer.

whileset to aCool settingor if turnedfroma fan settingto

Cooling Descriptions
For Normal Cooling—Selectthe Cool mode and
High orMed fan with amiddleset temperature.
For Maximum Cooling—Selectthe Cool mode
andHigh fan with alowerset temperature.
For Quieter and Nighttime Cooling—Selectthe
Cool modeand Low fan withamiddle set temperature.
EcoMode
Controls the fan.
ON—Thefan will cycleonand off withthecompressor. This
mayresult in widervariationsof room temperatureand
humidity.NOTE: the fanmaycontinue to runfora short time
ormay pulse intermittentlyafterthe compressor cyclesoffto
samplethe room air.
OFF—Thefan runs allthetime, while thecompressorcycles
onand off.
FanOnlyMode
Usethe Fan OnlyModeat Low, MedorHigh fan speedto
provideair circulation andfilteringwithout cooling. Since
fan-onlysettings do notprovidecooling, a Settemperature
cannotbe entered. Theroomtemperature will appearinthe
display.
AutoFanMode
Setto Auto for thefanspeed to automaticallysetto the
speedneeded to provideoptimumcomfort settings withthe
settemperature.
Ifthe room needsmorecooling, the fanspeedwill
automaticallyincrease. If theroomneeds less cooling,thefan
speedwill automatically decrease.
ControlPanelLightsOn/OffFeature
Thisair conditioner hasacontrol panel lightson/offfeature
whereits lights willturnoff when thereisno activity withthe
controlsfor over oneminute.To wake upthecontrols, press
anypad on thecontrolsand the lightswillcome on toshow
theprevious settings.
Toturn this featureoff,press and holdtheSLEEP pad, on the
unit,for 5 seconds.Theunit will beeptosignal the successful
toggleof the featureonand off.

Tiltthe louver banktoadjust up anddown.
GrilleandCase
Turnthe air conditioneroffand remove theplugfrom the wall
outletbefore cleaning. To clean,usewater and amilddetergent. Do notusebleach or abrasives.
AirFilter
Theair filter behindthefront grille shouldbechecked and
cleanedat least every30days or moreoftenif necessary.
To remove:
Openthe inlet grillebypulling downward onthetabs at the
topupper corners oftheinlet grille untilthegrille is ina45º
position.Remove the filter.
Cleanthe filter withwarm,soapy water. Rinseandlet the filter
drybefore replacing it.Donot clean thefilterin a dishwasher.

OutdoorCoils
Thecoils on theoutdoorside of theairconditioner should be

CAREANDCLEANING
HowtoInserttheBatteriesintheRemoteControl
1.Remove the batterycoverby sliding itaccordingto the
arrowdirection.
2.Insert new batteries,makingsure that the(+)and (–) of
batteryare installed correctly.
3.Reattach the coverbysliding it backintoposition.
NOTES:
•Use 2 “AAA”(1.5volt) batteries. Donotuse rechargeable
batteries.
•Remove the batteriesfromthe remote controlifthe
systemis not goingtobe used foralong time.
•Do not mixoldand new batteries.Donot mix standard
(carbon-zinc)or rechargeable (ni-cad,ni-mh,etc) batteries.

conditionernear the bottom.
B. Slidea side bracketoverthe screw sothatthe
bracketis resting onthewindow sill. Tightenthe
screw.
C. Usea 1/8” drillbitto drill astarterhole into the
windowsill through theholesin the sidebracket.
Use4 type Bscrewsto attach thesidebracket to the
windowsill.
D. Repeatthe side bracketinstallationon the leftside.
E. Measureand cut adhesivefoambacked sheet. Apply
overside curtain andframe.
4. INSTALL THE AIR CONDITIONER
IN THE WINDOW
A. Markthe center ofthewindow. Set theair
conditionerin the windowsothat is itcentered.
Placethe air conditionersothat front edgeofthe
bottommounting rail isagainstthe back edgeofthe
sill.
B. Bringthe window downsothat the frontedgeof the
topmounting is infrontof the window.Makesure
thatthe air conditionerislevel or tiltingslightlyto
theoutside.
C. Extendthe curtain panelsuntilthey fill thewindow.
Markthe location oftheholes in eachcorner.Use
thedrill and 1/8”drillbit to drillpilotholes. Use 4
typeB screws tosecurethe side panelsinplace.

Problem Possible Cause What To Do
Air conditioner does not
start. The unit is unplugged. Makesuretheairconditionerplugispushedcompletelyinto theoutlet.
The fuse is blown/circuit breaker is
tripped. Checkthehousefuse/circuitbreakerboxandreplacethefuse orresetthebreaker.
Power Failure. Theunitwillautomaticallyrestartinthesettinglastusedafter
thepowerisrestored.
Thereisaprotectivetimedelay(approximately3minutes)to
preventtrippingofthecompressoroverload.Forthisreason,
theunitmaynotstartnormalcoolingfor3minutesafteritis
turnedbackon.
The current interrupter device is
tripped. PressRESETbuttonlocatedonthepowercordplug.
IftheRESETbuttonwillnotstayengaged,discontinueuseof
theairconditionerandcontactaqualifiedservicetechnician.
