Wichtige Hinweise zur Stromversorgungsbuchse:
Die PC Card stellt angeschlossenen Geräten Strom zur Verfügung. Der maximale Strom ist abhängig
vom verwendeten Notebook. Funktionieren Geräte mit hohem Strombedarf nicht richtig, empfiehlt sich
der Einsatz eines externen Netzgerätes.
Bitte beachten Sie:
Nur Schaltnetzteile mit folgenden Spezifikationen verwenden (wir empfehlen Hama Art.Nr. 046602):
- Spannung 12V DC, Belastbarkeit mindestens 1000 mA
- Polarität: außen Minus (-) und innen Plus (+)
Verbinden Sie das Netzteil mit der Steckdose und dann mit der PC Card bevor Sie die Karte am
Computer einstecken.
Vorsicht: Bei Missachtung kann es zu Beschädigungen kommen!
Softwareinstallation
Windows XP Home / Professional
Bevor Sie die PC Card in ihr Notebook einstecken, installieren Sie bitte den Treiber von der beiliegenden
CD-ROM. Öffnen Sie mittels Windows Explorer ihr CD Laufwerk und klicken Sie doppelt auf die Datei
„Setup.exe“. Folgen Sie nun den Anweisungen. Bitte starten Sie nach Aufforderung ihren Notebook
neu. Windows XP erkennt diese Karte automatisch und bindet diese selbständig in Ihr System ein.
Wichtige Hinweise für Windows XP:
Ob die Combo Karte ordnungsgemäß installiert wurde, können Sie unter Start «Systemsteuerung «
System «Hardware «Gerätemanager nachsehen (Bei manchen Systemen müssen Sie hierzu auf
"Zur klassischen Ansicht wechseln" klicken um das "System“ Icon zu sehen). Dort müssen folgende
Einträge ohne gelbe Ausrufezeichen vorhanden sein:
Netzwerkadapter
- 1394-Netzwerkadapter
IEEE-1394 Bus-Hostcontroller
- Texas Instruments OHCI konformer IEEE 1394-Hostkontroller
Oder
OHCI IEEE 1394b Host Controller
Windows 2000 Professional:

Windows ME (Millennium Edition):
Bevor Sie die PC Card in ihr Notebook einstecken, installieren Sie bitte den Treiber von der beiliegenden

„Setup.exe“. Folgen Sie nun den Anweisungen. Bitte starten Sie nach Aufforderung ihren Notebook
neu. Nach dem Start wird der Hardware-Assistent ausgeführt. Markieren Sie in der Maske "Was
möchten Sie tun?" «"Position des Treibers angeben (Erweitert)" und klicken dann auf «Weiter. Wählen
Sie im nächsten Fenster "Nach dem besten Treiber für das Gerät suchen" und markieren nur "Geben Sie
eine Position an". Legen Sie die mitgelieferte CD-ROM ins Laufwerk und geben Sie das Verzeichnis
"D:\" ein (evtl. müssen Sie einen anderen Laufwerksbuchstaben für Ihr CD-ROM eingeben) «Weiter «
Weiter «Fertig stellen. Beantworten Sie die Frage nach dem Neustart mit «Ja.
Wichtige Hinweise für Windows ME:
Ob der Controller ordnungsgemäß installiert wurde, können Sie unter Start «Einstellungen «
Systemsteuerung «System «Geräte-Manager nachsehen (Sie müssen hierzu gegebenenfalls auf
"zeigen Sie alle Optionen der Systemsteuerung an" klicken um das "System“ - Icon zu sehen).
Dort müssen folgende Einträge ohne gelbe Ausrufezeichen vorhanden sein:

Windows 98 SE (Zweite Ausgabe):
Bevor Sie die PC Card in ihr Notebook einstecken, installieren Sie bitte den Treiber von der beiliegenden
CD-ROM. Öffnen Sie mittels Windows Explorer ihr CD Laufwerk und klicken Sie doppelt auf die Datei
„Setup.exe“. Folgen Sie nun den Anweisungen. Bitte starten Sie nach Aufforderung ihren Notebook
neu.
Nach dem Start wird der Hardware-Assistent ausgeführt. Markieren Sie in der Maske "Wie möchten Sie
vorgehen?" «"Nach dem besten Treiber für das Gerät suchen (empfohlen)" und klicken dann auf «

die Frage nach dem Neustart mit «Ja.
Wenn Sie dazu aufgefordert werden, legen Sie die Windows 98-CD ein und klicken danach auf "OK".
(evtl. müssen Sie anschließend den Laufwerksbuchstaben für Ihr CD-ROM Laufwerk eingeben).
Klicken Sie anschließend auf «Fertigstellen.

Important instructions for the power supply connection:
The PC Card supplies power to connected devices. The maximum power depends on the laptop used.
If devices that consume a large amount of electricity do not function properly, it is a good idea to use an
external power supply unit.
Please note:
Use only switching power supply units with the following specifications (we recommend Hama item
no. 046602):
- 12V DC current, at least 1000mA capacity
- Poles: outer negative (-) and inner positive (+)
Plug in the power supply unit and then connect it to the PC card before inserting the card in the computer.
Caution: Failure to observe this warning can cause damage!
Installing the software Windows XP Home/Professional
Install the driver from the enclosed CD before inserting the PC card in your laptop.
Open your CD drive in Windows Explorer and double click the “Setup.exe” file. Follow the instructions.
Restart your laptop when prompted to do so.
Windows XP automatically identifies this card and integrates it automatically in the system.
Important instructions for Windows XP:
You can check whether the Combo card was installed properly by selecting Start « Control Panel «
System «Hardware « Device Manager (in some systems, you must click Switch to Classic View to see
the System icon). The following must appear without a yellow exclamation mark:

Windows 2000 Professional:

Place the enclosed CD-ROM in your CD drive and enter "D:\” as the directory (you may have to enter
a different drive letter for your CD-ROM drive) «Next «Next «Finish.
Answer «Yes when prompted for a restart.
Important instructions for Windows ME:
You can check whether the controller was installed properly by selecting Start «Settings «Control
Panel «System «Device Manager (you may also need to click View all Control Panel options to see the
System icon). The following must appear without a yellow exclamation mark:

Windows 98 SE (Second Edition):
Install the driver from the enclosed CD before inserting the PC card in your laptop. Open your CD drive
in Windows Explorer and double click the “Setup.exe” file. Follow the instructions. Restart your laptop
when prompted to do so.
The Hardware wizard opens when the computer is started. In the “What do you want Windows to do?”
screen, select “Search for the best driver for your device (recommended)” and then click «Next. In the
next window, select “Specify a location”. Place the enclosed CD-ROM in your CD drive and enter
"D:\” as the directory (you may have to enter a different drive letter for your CD-ROM drive) «Next «
Next «Finish. Answer « Yes when prompted for a restart.
When prompted to do so, place the Windows 98 CD in the drive and click OK. (You may need to enter
the letter assigned to your CD-ROM drive). Click «Finish

Remarques importantes concernant l'alimentation électrique :
La carte PC fournit l’alimentation en électricité aux appareils connectés. Le courant maximal dépend de
l’ordinateur portable utilisé. Il est conseillé d’utiliser un bloc d’alimentation externe dans le cas où des
ordinateurs à forte consommation ne fonctionneraient pas correctement.
Attention :
N’utilisez que des blocs commutateur secteur répondant aux spécifications suivantes (nous conseillons
l’utilisation du bloc Hama, réf. 046602) :
- Alimentation 12V DC, charge admissible minimale 1000 mA
- Polarité : pôle négatif (-) à l’extérieur et pôle positif (+) à l’intérieur
Connectez le bloc d’alimentation à la prise de courant puis à la carte PC avant d’insérer la carte dans
l’ordinateur.
Attention: Le non-respect de ces consignes peut provoquer des détériorations !
Installation du logiciel Windows XP Home / Professional
Veuillez installer le pilote fourni sur CD avant d’insérer la carte dans votre ordinateur portable.
Ouvrez votre lecteur de CD à l’aide d’Explorer puis double-cliquez sur le fichier „Setup.exe“. Suivez les
indications suivantes : Redémarrez votre ordinateur si vous êtes invité à le faire.
Windows XP reconnaît automatiquement cette carte et l’intègre dans le système.
Consignes importantes pour Windows XP :
Vous pouvez vérifier que la carte combo a bien été installée en consultant Démarrer « Panneau de
configuration «Système «Matériel « Gestionnaire de périphérique (certains systèmes exigent que
vous basculiez vers "l’affichage classique", afin d’afficher l’icône "Système“). Les entrées suivantes
doivent y être affichées sans point d’exclamation jaune :

Suivant. Sélectionnez dans la fenêtre suivante "Rechercher le meilleur pilote pour la périphérie" puis
ne cochez que "Spécifier l’emplacement du pilote". Insérez le CD-ROM fourni dans le lecteur de votre
ordinateur puis saisissez le chemin d’accès "D:\" (vous devrez éventuellement saisir une autre lettre de
lecteur pour votre CD-ROM) «Suivant «Suivant «Terminer Après le redémarrage du système,
répondez « Oui » à la question.

Vous pouvez vérifier que le contrôleur a bien été installé en consultant Démarrer «Paramètres «

(conseillé) " puis cliquez sur «Suivant Sélectionnez dans la fenêtre suivante "Spécifier l’emplacement
du pilote". Insérez le CD-ROM fourni dans le lecteur de votre ordinateur puis saisissez le chemin
d’accès "D:\" (vous devrez éventuellement saisir une autre lettre de lecteur pour votre CD-ROM) «
Suivant «Suivant «Terminer Après le redémarrage du système, répondez "Oui" à la question.
Insérez le CD Windows 98 dès que vous êtes invité à le faire, puis cliquez sur "OK" (il peut être néces-
saire d’entrer la lettre correspondant au lecteur de CD-ROM de votre ordinateur). Cliquez finalement sur
«Terminer
