1. Explanation of Warning Symbols and Notes
Warning
This symbol is used to indicate safety instructions or to draw your attention to specic
hazards and risks.

This symbol is used to indicate additional information or important notes.
2. Package Contents

3. Safety Notes
•The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
•Protect the product from dirt, moistureand overheating, and only use it in adry
environment.
•Donot use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters or other heat sources or in
direct sunlight.
•Donot operate the product outside the power limits given in the specications.
•Donot drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
•Donot attempt to service or repair the product yourself.Leave any and all service
work to qualied experts.
•Donot modify the product in any way.Doing so voids the warranty.
Warning –Batteries
•When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and -markings) and insert
the batteries accordingly.Failure to do so could result in the batteries leaking or
exploding.
•Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the specied type.
•Beforeyou insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the polar contacts.
•Donot allow children to change batteries without supervision.
•Donot mix old and new batteries or batteries of adifferent type or make.
•Remove the batteries from products that arenot being used for an extended
period (unless these arebeing kept ready for an emergency).
•Donot short-circuit batteries.
•Donot charge batteries.
•Donot throw batteries in a re.
•Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
•Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment.
They can contain toxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals.
•Immediately remove and dispose of dead batteries from the product.
•Avoid storing, charging or using batteries in extreme temperatures.
4. Getting Started
Inserting the battery
•Open the battery compartment (9), insert the battery/batteries, ensuring that
the batteries areinserted correctly in terms of polarity,and then close the battery
compartment (9). The thermometer is now ready for use.
Replacing the batteries
•Ifthe display (1) becomes dimmer,you must replace the battery.
•When inserting the batteries, ensurethat the polarity is correct.
5. Operation
•Press the MODE button (3) to switch between the three display modes available. The
modes areasfollows (in that order): clock, calendar,alarm.
Note
•The product is usually in clock mode.Ifthe product is in another mode, press the
MODE button (3) until it is in the mode you want.
•When you adjust the settings, the selected item will ash to indicate that it can
be set.
5.1 Setting the time format/time
•Inclock mode,press and hold the MODE button (3) for about 4seconds to start
setting the time:
•Hours
•Minutes
•Press the UP (6) or DOWN (7) buttons to select the individual values.
•Press the MODE button (3) to adopt the set value displayed and skip to the next
item.
•Press the MODE button (3) to save the settings and return to the normal display.
5.2 Setting the calendar
•Incalendar mode,press and hold the MODE button (3) for about 4seconds to
start setting the calendar:
•Year
•Month
•Day
•Press the UP (6) or DOWN (7) buttons to select the individual values.
•Press the MODE button (3) to adopt the set value displayed and skip to the next
item.
•Press the MODE button (3) to save the settings and return to the normal display.
Note
•The weekday is set automatically when setting the date manually.
•Ifyou do not make an entry for several minutes, you automatically exit the setup
mode. The settings that weremade up to that point arenot saved!
5.3 Switching between the 12/24-hour display formats
Press and hold the UP button (6) for about four seconds to switch between 12-hour and
24-hour time formats, AM or PM appears beforethe time.
5.4 Setting the alarm
•Repeatedly press the MODE button (3) to enter alarm mode.
•Press and hold the MODE button (3) for about four seconds to start setting the
alarm.

•Press the UP (6) or DOWN (7) buttons to select the individual values.
•Press the MODE button (3) to adopt the set value displayed and skip to the next
item.
•Press the MODE button (3) to save the settings and return to the normal display.

5.5 Temperature measurements, maximum/minimum display
•Press the DOWN button (7) when in any mode to choose between °C (Celsius) and
°F (Fahrenheit).
•Press the MAX/MIN button (4) to display the maximum or minimum recorded values
for temperatureand humidity.
5.6 Alarm
•Intime or calendar mode,press the UP button (6) to switch the alarms on or off.If
one of these symbols appears on the display,the relevant functions areactivated.
•Ifthe alarm is switched on, it will stop going off automatically after about 1minute
or when the SNZ (5) or LIGHT (8) button is pressed. If you press the SNZ button (5),
the alarm will go off again four times.
5.7 Temperature trend display (2)
This display shows the temperaturetrend over the last 12, 6, 3, 2or1hour(s), within a
max. range of +/- 3°Cor+/- 5.4 °F.Itisonly for informational purposes; you cannot
make any settings on this display.
6. Care and Maintenance
Only clean this product with aslightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive
cleaning agents. Make surethat water does not get into the product.
