Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise
Bei der Montage, Instandhaltung und Demontage von Han®Steckver-
bindern müssen Sie folgende Sicherheitshinweise beachten:
Voraussetzungen für Personal
Alle Arbeiten zu Montage, Instandhaltung und Demontage von Han®
Steckverbindern dürfen nur von entsprechend quali󰘰ziertem Personal
durchgeführt werden. In der EU darf nur quali󰘰ziertes Fachpersonal
gemäß DIN EN 50110-1/-2 sowie IEC 60 364 die Arbeiten ausführen.
Zudem sind die nationalen Unfallverhütungsvorschriften einzuhalten.
Schutz gegen elektrischen Schlag
Bei allen Arbeiten zur Montage, Instandhaltung und Demontage von
Han® Steckverbindern besteht Gefahr durch o󰘯enliegende elektrische
Komponenten.
Lebensgefahr durch Stromschlag!
▶ Steckverbinder sind elektrische Bauteile, die nur von Fachpersonal
montiert werden dürfen.
▶Nicht unter elektrischer Spannung stecken oder ziehen!
▶Anwender müssen den Schutz gegen elektrischen Schlag durch
die Einbauart des Steckverbinders sicherstellen. Dazu können sie
die von HARTING angebotenen Steckverbindergehäuse verwen-
den oder andere geeignete Maßnahmen beim Einbau ergreifen.

General safety instructions
Before starting to assemble, maintain or remove Han®connectors,
you must pay attention to the following safety instructions:
Requirements for staff
All works relating to the assembly, maintenance and removal of the
Han® connectors must be performed by quali󰘰ed, trained sta󰘯. Within
the EU, this work must be carried out by quali󰘰ed personnel in ac-
cordance with DIN EN 50110-1/-2 and IEC 60364. The relevant natio-
nal accident prevention regulations must also be observed.
Protection against electrical shock
All works relating to the assembly, maintenance or removal of Han®
connectors pose the danger of being exposed to electrical compo-
nents.
Danger to life due to electrical shock!
▶Industrial connectors are electrical components that must be ins-
talled exclusively by quali󰘰ed personnel.
▶Never plug or unplug connectors while under load!
▶The provision of protection against electric shock is the responsibi-
lity of the user. The necessary degree of protection can be achie-
ved by using HARTING hoods and housings or by using other
appropriate installation methods.

Schritt 1:
Isolieren Sie die Leiter auf einer Länge von 9 - 11mm ab.
Schritt 2:
Führen Sie die abisolierten Leiter (mit oder ohne Aderendhülse) in
die Han® ES Press Kontaktkammer ein.
HINWEIS Korrekte Zuordnung
Führen Sie den abisolierten Leiter ausschließ-
lich in die dafür vorgesehene Han®ES Press Kontaktkammer ein.
Schritt 3:
Drücken Sie den Betätiger mit leichtem Finderdruck in den Isolier-
körper, bis dieser mit hörbarem Klicken einrastet.
Schritt 4:
Prüfen Sie die Qualität der Montage durch leichten Zug am Leiter.

Step 1:
Strip the cable at a length of 9 - 11 mm.
Step 2:
Insert the stripped cable – with or without a crimped ferrule – into
the contact chamber.
NOTICE Correct assignment
Insert the stripped cable exclusively into the
relevant Han® ES Press contact chamber.
Step 3:
Press the actuator into the insulation body by applying light 󰘰nger
pressure – until it latches with an audible “click”.
Step 4:
Proof mounting quality by slightly pulling out the stranded wire.

Schritt 5:
Schließen Sie alle nicht verwendeten Betätiger, bevor Sie den
Kontakteinsatz in das Gehäuse einbauen.

Schritt 1:
Führen Sie den Schraubendreher von oben in den Betätiger ein
und hebeln Sie diesen vorsichtig zurück in die geö󰘯nete Position.
Schritt 2:
Nehmen Sie den Leiter aus der Kontaktkammer.
Step 5:
Before mounting the insert into the hood/housing, push-in all the
unused actuators.

Step 1:
Insert the screwdriver from above into the actuator and lift the
screwdriver back cautiously into the opening position.
Step 2:
Remove the conductor from the contact chamber.

Step 1:
Insert the plug-in jumpers into the relevant openings (cf. Overview,
p. 1).
NOTICE Correct assignment
Insert the plug-in jumpers exclusively into
the relevant plug-in jumper openings of the insulation body.
Step 2:
The plug-in jumper latches with a distinct, audible “click”.
Click!
Removal of Han®ES Press plug-in jumper
The Han® ES Press plug-in jumper has to be removed manually
from the opening. No tool is required.

Schritt 1:
Führen Sie die Steckbrücken in die vorgesehenen Ö󰘯nungen ein
(vgl. Übersicht, S. 1).
HINWEIS Korrekte Zuordnung
Führen Sie Steckbrücken ausschließlich in die
dafür vorgesehenen Steckbrückenöffnungen am Isolierkörper ein.
Schritt 2:
Die Steckbrücke rastet mit deutlich hörbarem Klicken ein.
Demontage Han®ES Press Steckbrücke
Entfernen Sie die Kontaktbrücke von Hand aus der Steckbrücken-
ö󰘯nung. Ein Werkzeug ist nicht erforderlich.
