DV425 BURNER AND PILOT UPGRADE
KIT CONTENTS: Log Assembly; burner assembly; glass
assembly; pilot assembly; pilot bracket; bulkhead retainer;
left burner bracket; and fasteners.
TOOLS NEEDED: Phillips head screwdriver; 7/16 in.
wrench; 3/8 in. wrench; wire cutters; silicone.

Figure 1 Remove the front and glass from the appliance.
Figure 2 Remove the log set and discard.
Figure 3 Remove the burner and discard.
Figure 4 Remove the burner brackets.

Figure 5 Remove the pilot assembly by disconnecting all
the leads from the valve leading to the pilot. The leads
may be cut as a new pilot assembly is supplied in the kit.
Figure 6 Disconnect thermocouple, thermopile and pilot
line from the valve.
Figure 7 Remove the pilot bracket and pilot from the appli-
ance and discard the screws. Install the new pilot and
pilot bracket using screws from the kit.
Figure 8 Seal around the pilot and thermocouple, ensuring
the sealant penetrates through the bottom of the appli-
ance.
Figure 9 Bend hand-bends to form bulkhead retainer to
shape, and install in the appliance. (This will replace the
old right hand burner bracket.)
Figure 10 Bulkhead retainer attaches to the appliance
bottom as well as to the pilot bracket, as indicated.
NOTE: An NG pilot is provided. An LP orifice is
included for conversion, if necessary.

Figure 11 Install the new left burner bracket.
Attach burner to bracket here
Figure 12 Install the new burner to the burner brackets
using the two holes furthest to the rear of the burner on
the left and right sides.
Install the log assembly using the front two holes through
the burner and into the burner brackets.
Install new glass to door frame.
Reinstall the front.
