In order to prevent the risks of a fire, an electrical shock, burns and other injuries, it is
imperative to observe basic safety measures when using electrical appliances.
Please read the following information carefully before using the appliance for
the first time for your own safety and to ensure correct use.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using any electrically powered product, basic safety precautions should always
be followed, including the following:
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT.
WARNING - to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock orinjuryto persons or property:
1. Always operatethe productfrom a power source ofthesame voltage,frequency and rating
as indicated on the product identification plate.
2. Remove the unitfrom its packagingand check to make sure it isin good condition before
using.
3. Do not let children play with parts of the packing ( such as plastic bags)
4. This appliance is notintended foruse by persons(including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mentalcapabilities, or lackof experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerninguse of the applianceby aperson
responsible for their safety.
5. Children shouldbe supervised to ensure that they do not playwiththe appliance.
6. Do not operateany productwith a damaged cord orplug, or after the product malfunctions,
or is dropped orappears damaged in any way. Ifthe supplycord isdamaged, it must be
replacedby the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to
avoid a hazard.
7. Before unplugging the power cord, be sure to turn the power off. When touching the unit,
be sure your hands are dry to prevent electrical shock.
8. Ensure the cord is fully extended before use and arrange it so that it is not in contact with
any part of the heater.
9. In use, some parts ofthe heater are hot. When moving,hold the heater only by the handle
provided.
10. Do not use the heater in areas such as garages where petrol, paint or other flammable
substances are used or stored.
11. Do not use near or point theheater tofurniture,animals, curtains or other inflammable
objects. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, bedding and any other combustible
materials at least 1 metre from thefrontand sides, and fromthe rearof the heater.
12. Do not place the cordundercarpetor cover with throw rugs orfurniture.Arrange the cord
so that it cannotbe trippedover.
13. Do not place the heater on bedding or on thick and long pile carpet where the openings
may be blocked.
14. To reduce the risk ofelectric shock, donot immerse or expose the productor flexible cord
to rain, moisture or anyliquid other than those necessary for correct operation of the
product.

16. Switch offand unplug fromoutletwhen not in use, before assembling or disassembling
parts and before cleaning.Remove by grasping the plug - do notpullon the cord.
17. A common cause of overheating is depositsof dust and fluff entering the heater. Ensure
these deposits are removed regularly by unplugging the heater, allowing it to cool and
cleaning as described in theCare, Cleaning and Storage section.
18. Be sure that no otherhigh current appliances are plugged into the same circuit with your
heater asan overload can occur.
19. Avoid the use of an extension cord as the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of
fire.
20. Do not usethe appliance for otherthan its intended use.
21. Do not use outdoors. FOR INDOOR USE ONLY.
22. Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
23. Do not place objects on the product or allow objects toobstruct the inlet oroutlet openings,
or operate in close proximity to walls orcurtains,etc. Do not cover theunit when in
operation.
24. Do not locate the heater immediately below a socket-outlet.
25. The use ofattachmentsor accessories not recommended or sold by the product distributor
may cause personalor property hazards or injuries.
26. This product is intended for normal domestic/household use only.
27. Use this heateras described in this manual. Any other uses, not recommended by the
manufacturer, may cause fire, electric shock,or injury to personsand may void the
warranty.
28. CAUTION: In order to avoida hazard due to inadvertent resetting ofthe thermal cutout, this
appliance mustnot be supplied through an external switching device, suchas a timer, or
connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
LOCATION
1. The appliance shouldbe placed with a minimum distance of 1 metre away from flammable
objects (e.g. curtains), walls or other structures!
POWER CORD
1. Use only an approved extension cord that is suitable for the appliance rating! Do not
use the extension cord coiled up. Extend it to its full length, and use the minimum
length required.
2. Do not lay the cord under a carpet. Do not lay rugs, mats or similar articles on it.
Position the cord so that it does not pose an obstruction or a tripping hazard.
3. Never pull the plug out of the socket at the cord!
4. Always disconnectthe mainsplug when the appliance is not in use.
Attention! The appliance may only be used for normal domestic use and not for
industrial purpose.

BEFORE USE
1. Before use, removeall packaging and inspect the appliance for any damage. Ifthere are
appears to be any damage, please take back to place of purchase for a replacement.
2. Ensure that the heater is not located directly under apower socket and that a power socket
is available to power the appliance.
USING THE HEATER
POWER AND HEAT SETTINGS
0..... OFF
*..... Fan only operation
I.....LOW heat setting (1000W)
II.....HIGH heat setting (2000W)
THERMOSTAT
Set the thermostat to "max." and operate the appliance until the
desired room temperature is reached. Turn the thermostat
anticlockwise until the appliance switches off with an audible "click".
This set temperature will be kept almost constant by the appliance
switching on and off automatically.

Please note that the appliance does not switch on unless the
thermostat setting is higher than the room temperature.
OSCILLATION
Turn on and off oscillation function using the oscillation switch.
UP ----- OSCILLATION OFF
DOWN ----- OSCILLATION ON
TIP OVER SWITCH
Your heater is designed to automatically shut the heater off when tipped over.
The unit will automatically turn on once it is returned to its normal upright position.
Do not use on thick and long pile carpets, as the heater may not work, due to the tip over
switch not been activated.
SAFETY SYSTEM
In the event ofabnormal overheating, a safetydeviceshutsdownthe appliance
automatically. Aftera shortcooling downphase,the appliance is readyfor use again.
If you still notice the samedefectas above mentioned, remove theplug from the socket
and consult your authorized dealer to your after-sales service department.
During use, do not touch orcover the air outlet. This may causethe unit to over heat, and
the safetydevice tooperate.
MAINTENANCE
Your appliance must be switch OFF via the main power supply and unplugged before
proceeding with any cleaning work.
Clean the housing witha lightly damp cloth, a vacuumcleaneror adusting brush.
Never use flammable or abrasive cleaning agents such as benzene orspirit to clean the
appliance.
Never immerse the appliance in water!
Clean the air inlet and outlet regularly with a vacuum cleaner.
If the appliance is not used for an extended period it must be protected againstexcessive
dust and dirt. Please store the heater in adry place away from sunlightand dirt.
