OVERVIEW
The HELTUN HE-FT01 Advanced Programmable Thermostat is elegantly designed and ‘Impossibly
Smart’ providing wireless over-the-Internet control of your home’s fan coil heating/cooling system.
The HE-FT01 is‘Impossibly Thin’on the wall yet packed with features to help you save energy while
providing the ultimate in comfort and convenience.
Perfectly controls air conditioning systems
The HE-FT01 is designed to maintain constant room temperatures by using internal air temperature sensor. It controls 2-pipe or 4-pipe air
conditioning/heating systems such as: split/multi-split systems, chillers and fan coil unit systems, central air conditioning systems,
multi-zone VRF/VRV air conditioning systems, etc. The fan speed is controlled by three relay outputs. Two more relay outputs control
cooling and heating valves. The HE-FT01 has two independent inputs for relay channels which allow it to control fans and valves with
dierent power sources or to use relay outputs as dry contacts. Each relay can carry a load of up to 5 Amps.
Multiple built-in sensors
The HE-FT01 has an LCD screen, six high sensitivity capacitive touch buttons, and internal temperature sensor with compensating software
for precise temperature monitoring and control. It also has built-in humidity and illumination sensors. You can instantly access information
from all sensors on the user-friendly display.
Monitor all important information without even a touch
The at-a-glance display shows: ambient air temperature, user set point, humidity level, current operating mode, climate mode, fan speed, time,
day of the week, and status of the Z-Wave network. Display brightness adjusts to ambient light conditions automatically making it easy to read.
Highly congurable
You can select one of four operation modes (COM, TIME, ECO, OFF) with individual set points either manually or by using a Z-Wave
controller/gateway. The HE-FT01 operates in four Climate Modes: Heating & Cooling, Heating only, Cooling only, or Ventilation and has six
fan speed control modes: Low, Medium, High, Auto Medium, Auto High, & O.
Know how much energy you use
The HE-FT01 built-in Power Consumption System monitors how much energy you used during any particular day, week, or month. Just
specify the consumption of the load in watts for each relay channel and the thermostat logic will calculate total consumption relative to
the time since the output was in the‘ON’ state.
Based on the latest Z-Wave platform
The HE-FT01 integrates a Z-Wave Plus v2 700 platform module allowing it to be used with Z-Wave home automation systems.The HE-FT01
supports Z-Wave‘S0’and‘S2’security protocols, SmartStart technology, and can be connected (“associated”) to other Z-Wave devices, such
as relays, switchers, etc.

Placement of the HE-FT01 is of utmost importance for proper operation and must be away from sunlight and sources of direct heat. For
air temperature proper measurement, we recommend installing the HE-FT01 approximately 1.5 meters above the oor.
Remove the display unit and backplate of the HE-FT01 from the packaging.
FIRST ENSURE THE POWER IS OFF at the main circuit breaker, and then test the wires with a probe or multimeter to verify. Insert the
wires to the correct HE-FT01 terminals by inserting a small Phillips-head screwdriver into the slot beneath each terminal and unscrew
to open.
Follow diagrams on Figure 1 (or 2 or 3 or 4) and the instructions below:
• Power wires: Connect Line & Neutral wires to L & N terminals labeled “POWER”.
• Fan speed source: Connect the required power source for Fan to terminal IN-1-3.
• Valves source: Connect the required power source for Hot & Cold water valves to terminal IN-4-5.
• Fan speed wires: Connect fan speed control wires to relays output terminals OUT-1, OUT-2, OUT-3:
- OUT-1 for the Fan low speed
- OUT-2 for the Fan medium speed
- OUT-3 for the Fan high speed
• Valves wires: Connect valves control wires to relays output terminals OUT-4, OUT-5.
If you use two-valves fan coil system, follow diagram on Figure 1 or 3:
- OUT-4 for the heating valve
- OUT-5 for the cooling valve
If you use one-valve fan coil system, follow diagram on Figure 2 or 4:
Connect valve wire to both outputs OUT-4 and OUT-5.
Note: HELTUN recommends installing cord terminals (electric wire ferrules) on the ends of wires before connecting them to the
HE-FT01 outputs (various colors terminals are included).
Note: Zero-Cross technology is unavailable if the device uses DC voltage (24-48VDC).
Tighten wires using Phillips screwdriver in slot beneath each wire.
Making sure the HE-FT01 backplate is oriented on the wall with the word“TOP”pointed upwards, secure the backplate to the electrical
junction box using the four provided screws (do not overtighten).
Once the backplate is secured onto the wall, assemble the HE-FT01 display unit onto the backplate by rst carefully aligning the two
top snap connectors, and then gently pushing the entire display unit until it‘snaps’into position all the way around.
Next, switch On the main power at the circuit breaker. The HE-FT01 will start up showing the original default factory settings.
Remove the clear protective lm from the display unit by pulling on the top right-hand tab.

INSTALLATION
The HELTUN HE-FT01 thermostat must be installed by a licensed electrician in a manner that conforms to local regulations and
building codes. Provide these instructions to the licensed electrician who is installing the HE-FT01.
WARNING: Electrical power must be switched o during installation.

SmartStart
SmartStart-enabled products can be added to a Z-Wave network by scanning the Z-Wave QR Code shown on the product with
gateways/controllers that provide for SmartStart inclusion. In this case, no further action will be required and the SmartStart product will
be added automatically within ten minutes of being turned on in the vicinity of a network.
To add the HE-FT01 to the Z-Wave network using SmartStart:
Note: The device security code (DSK) and SmartStart QR code are printed on the HE-FT01 back panel plus on the included Security Card
(see Figures 9 & 10).
Z-WAVE NETWORK
The HE-FT01 may be operated in any Z-Wave network with other Z-Wave certied devices from other manufacturers. The HELTUN HE-FT01
will act as a ‘repeater’ for other devices regardless of manufacturer or brand to increase the reliability of the overall network.
Frequency Region
The Parameter 1 (“ Eg”) allows you to manually change the Z-Wave frequency which is mandated in your geographical region.
Modication is possible only while the HE-FT01 is in a ‘Non-Included State.’ While in an ‘Included State’, the Antenna icon will be
shown at the bottom right corner of the LCD screen and modication of this Parameter will be disabled.To navigate through the dierent
values, use the Plus (+) and Minus (–) buttons. After the Frequency Region has been selected, hold the Clock button to save the
Parameter value and reboot the device for the new settings to take eect.
Security
S0, S2 unauthorized, and S2 authorized Inclusion Modes are supported. If you use the S2 authorized Inclusion Mode the security key
should be used during the inclusion process. The Security Key is printed on a card located with this quick start guide and also on the
HE-FT01 backplate (see Figures 9 & 10).
Note: Be sure to save this key. Without the key, it is impossible to perform an Inclusion in S2 authorized mode.

To disassemble, ENSURE POWER IS SWITCHED OFF at the main circuit breaker AND THE LCD SCREEN IS BLANK.
To remove the HE-FT01 display unit grasp rmly at the bottom and pull backwards while tilting outwards until all tabs disconnect.
Remove screws from backplate and disconnect the wires by inserting a small Phillips-head screwdriver into the slot beneath each wire
and unscrewing to release.

Set the main controller in Security S2 Authenticated“Add Mode”.
Input the thermostat DSK to the controller (or scan the QR code).
Power on the device.
Wait for the adding process to complete.
Successful adding will be conrmed by displaying the Antenna with signal strength bars icon in the bottom right corner of
the main screen.

Enter“SETTINGS”Mode by pressing and holding the Climate button for three seconds.
Scroll menu to“Parameter 2 – nEt” using the“SPEED”button to scroll up, and the“MODE”button to scroll down.
The current state of the network will display in the Parameter Value position (bottom left corner). It should display “EcL”.
Note: If“InC”is displayed, the HE-FT01 must rst be Excluded from an existing Z-Wave network (see“Exclusion”below).
Start the Inclusion Mode from the gateway/controller.
On the HE-FT01 in Parameter 2, press the Plus “+”key to start the Inclusion process.
Note that lines will be moving in the Parameter value position (bottom left corner).
The Antenna with signal strength bars icon should appear at the bottom right corner if Inclusion was successful.
If only the Antenna icon or “Err” is displayed in the Value position, the HE-FT01 Inclusion was not successful (try repeating
steps 4-7).
Enter“SETTINGS”Mode by pressing and holding the Climate button for three seconds.
Scroll menu to“Parameter 2 – nEt” using the“SPEED”button to scroll up, and the“MODE”button to scroll down.
The current state of the network will be displayed in the Parameter Value position (bottom left corner). It should display: “InC”.
Note: If“EcL” is displayed, the HE-FT01 is already Excluded.
Start the Exclusion Mode from the gateway/controller.
Press the Minus“–”button in the HE-FT01 Parameter 2 to start the Exclusion process.
Note that lines will be moving in the Parameter value position (bottom left corner).
The Antenna icon should appear in the bottom right corner and“EcL” in the value position if the Exclusion was successful.
If the Antenna with signal strength bars icon or “InC” in value position are displayed, repeat the Exclusion process.
Note: If the HE-FT01 has previously been part of a Z-Wave network and not Excluded since, Inclusion is not possible without rst
performing an Exclusion or Factory Reset procedure.
Note: If the HE-FT01 is included in the Z-Wave network the Antenna icon will appear in the bottom right corner of the main screen with
signal strength bars .
Including the HE-FT01 to an Existing Z-Wave Network
To add the HE-FT01 to an existing Z-Wave network (i.e.“inclusion”), do the following:

Removing the HE-FT01 from Z-Wave network
To remove the HE-FT01 from a Z-Wave network (i.e.“Exclusion”), do the following:

FACTORY RESET (RES)
By pressing and holding the “MODE” key for ten seconds, the HE-FT01 will enter Factory Reset Mode, displaying “REs” in the left bottom
corner, “y” and“n”in the center. Press the Plus (+) button to revert to factory settings, or the “SPEED”button to cancel. The factory reset will
change all the Parameters to their original factory default values and will also Exclude the device from any Z-Wave network.
Note: Please use this procedure only when the network primary controller is missing or otherwise inoperable.

HELTUN warrants this product to be free from defects in workmanship or materials, under normal use and service, for a period of 1 (one)
year from the date of purchase by the consumer ("Warranty Period"). HELTUN will extend this Warranty Period to 3 (three) years from the
date of consumer purchase for any consumer who registers their warranty with HELTUN at this website page: bonus.heltun.com. This
Limited Warranty applies only to the rst end-user of the product and is not transferable.
If during the Warranty Period the product is determined to be defective or malfunctions due to workmanship or materials, HELTUN, at
HELTUN's option, shall either repair or replace the defective product. If the product is defective, (i) return it with dated proof of purchase

Термостат HE-FT01 поддерживает в помещении постоянную температуру воздуха посредством встроенного датчика температуры
воздуха. Рекомендуется для управления системами кондиционирования, такими как: сплит/мульти-сплит системы, чиллеры и
системы фанкойлов, системы центрального кондиционирования, мультизональные системы кондиционирования VRF/VRV и т.д.

ВАЖНО! Термостат следует устанавливать вдали от прямого солнечного света и источников тепла. Для корректного измерения
температуры воздуха мы рекомендуем устанавливать HE-FT01 примерно на высоте 1.5 метра от пола.
Извлеките блок дисплея и заднюю панель HE-FT01 из упаковки.
СНАЧАЛА УБЕДИТЕСЬ, ЧТО ПИТАНИЕ ОТКЛЮЧЕНО на главном автомате цепи, затем проверьте провода на отсутствие
напряжения с помощью тестера или мультиметра. Вставьте небольшую отвертку с крестообразным шлицем в паз под каждой

Подключите провод клапана к обеим выходам OUT-4 and OUT-5.

Затем включите питание на основном автомате электрической цепи. HE-FT01 включится и начнет работать по заводским настройкам.
Снимите прозрачную защитную пленку с дисплея, потянув за верхний правый язычок.

SmartStart
Устройства с поддержкой SmartStart можно добавить в сеть Z-Wave, отсканировав Z-Wave QR-код на продукте с помощью
приложения контроллера, которое обеспечивает SmartStart подключение. В этом случае никаких дополнительных действий не
требуется, и устройство с SmartStart будет добавлено автоматически в течение десяти минут после включения вблизи сети.

СЕТЬ Z-WAVE
HE-FT01 может работать в любой сети Z-Wave с другими сертифицированными Z-Wave устройствами других производителей.
HELTUN HE-FT01 будет выступать в качестве «ретранслятора» для других устройств независимо от производителя или марки,
повышая надежность всей сети.
Диапазон частот
Параметр 1 (« Eg») позволяет вам вручную изменять частоту Z-Wave на ту, которая действует в вашем регионе. Модификация
возможна только тогда, когда HE-FT01 находится в состоянии «Не включен в сеть». В режиме «Включен в сеть» в правом нижнем
углу ЖК дисплея будет отображаться значок Антенны , и изменение Параметра частоты будет неактивно. Для навигации по
различным значениям используйте кнопки «плюс» (+) и «минус» (-). После выбора частоты региона, чтоб новые настройки
вступили в силу, удерживайте кнопку Часы , чтобы сохранить значение Параметра и перезагрузить устройство.
Безопасность
Поддерживаются следующие режимы добавления в сеть: S0, S2 неавторизованный и S2 авторизованный. Если вы используете
авторизованный режим добавления S2, во время процесса добавления в сеть следует использовать ключ безопасности. Ключ
безопасности напечатан на карте, которая располагается вместе с данным руководством, а также напечатан на задней панели
HE-FT01 (см. Рис. 9 и 10).
Примечание: Обязательно сохраните этот ключ. Без ключа невозможно выполнить добавление в сеть в авторизованном режиме S2.

Для снятия блока дисплея HE-FT01 крепко возьмитесь за нижнюю часть и потяните на себя сначала нижнюю часть, потом
верхнюю часть, пока все крепежи не отсоединятся.
Снимите винты с задней панели и, вставив небольшую отвертку с крестообразным шлицем в паз под каждой клеммой,

Установите главный контроллер в режим Security S2 Authenticated «Add Mode».

ЗАВОДСКИЕ НАСТРОЙКИ (RES)
Нажав и удерживая кнопку «MODE» в течение десяти секунд, HE-FT01 перейдет в режим «Сброс к Заводским Настройкам»,
отображая «REs» в левом нижнем углу, «y» и «n» в центре. Нажмите кнопку «+», чтобы сбросить устройство к заводским настройкам,
или кнопку «SPEED» для отмены. Сброс к заводским настройкам изменит все параметры на заводские значения по умолчанию, а
также удалит устройство из любой сети Z-Wave.
Примечание: Используйте эту процедуру только в том случае, если основной сетевой контроллер отсутствует или не работает.

Le thermostat programmable avancé HELTUN HE-FT01 est élégamment conçu et «Incroyablement
Intelligent», orant un contrôle sans l par Internet du système de chauage/refroidissement de
votre maison. Le HE-FT01 est «Incroyablement Mince» sur le mur mais regorge de fonctionnalités
pour vous aider à économiser de l'énergie tout en orant le summum du confort et de la commodité.
Contrôle parfaitement les systèmes de climatisation
Le HE-FT01 est conçu pour maintenir des températures ambiantes constantes en utilisant un capteur de température de l'air interne. Il
contrôle les systèmes de climatisation/chauage à 2 ou 4 tubes tels que: les systèmes split/multi-split, les refroidisseurs et les
ventilo-convecteurs, les systèmes de climatisation centrale, les systèmes de climatisation multizones VRF/VRV, etc. La vitesse du
ventilateur est contrôlée par trois sorties relais. Deux sorties relais supplémentaires contrôlent les vannes de refroidissement et de
chauage. Le HE-FT01 possède deux entrées indépendantes pour les canaux de relais qui lui permettent de contrôler les ventilateurs et les
vannes avec diérentes sources d'alimentation ou d'utiliser les sorties de relais comme contacts secs. Chaque relais peut supporter une
charge allant jusqu'à 5 ampères.
Plusieurs capteurs intégrés
Le HE-FT01 possède un écran LCD, six boutons tactiles capacitifs haute sensibilité et un capteur de température interne avec un logiciel de
compensation pour une surveillance et un contrôle précis de la température. Il dispose également de capteurs d'humidité et de luminosité
intégrés. Vous pouvez accéder instantanément aux informations de tous les capteurs sur l'écran convivial.
Surveillez toutes les informations importantes sans même le toucher
L'achage en un coup d'œil indique: température de l'air ambiant, point de consigne utilisateur, niveau d'humidité, mode de fonctionne-
ment actuel, mode climatique, vitesse du ventilateur, heure, jour de la semaine et état du réseau Z-Wave. La luminosité de l'écran s'adapte
automatiquement aux conditions de lumière ambiante, ce qui facilite la lecture.
Hautement congurable
Vous pouvez sélectionner l'un des quatre modes de fonctionnement (COM, TIME, ECO, OFF) avec des points de consigne individuels soit
manuellement, soit en utilisant un contrôleur/passerelle Z-Wave. Le HE-FT01 fonctionne dans quatre modes climatiques: chauage et
refroidissement, chauage uniquement, refroidissement uniquement ou ventilation et dispose de six modes de contrôle de la vitesse du
ventilateur: faible, moyen, élevé, moyen automatique, élevé automatique et désactivé.
Sachez combien d'énergie vous utilisez
Le système de consommation électrique intégré au HE-FT01 surveille la quantité d'énergie que vous avez utilisée au cours d'une journée,
d'une semaine ou d'un mois particulier. Spéciez simplement la consommation de la charge en watts pour chaque canal de relais et la
logique du thermostat calculera la consommation totale par rapport au temps écoulé depuis que la sortie était à l'état «ON».
Basé sur la dernière plateforme Z-Wave
Le HE-FT01 intègre un module de la plateforme Z-Wave Plus v2 700 lui permettant d'être utilisé avec les systèmes domotiques Z-Wave. Le
