 Tools Needed for Installation
•Tape Measure or Other Distance Measuring Instruments: Use to determine distances when installing
equipment on site
•ommon Tools: One set of screwdrivers, one set of inner hexagon, etc.
•omputer and Network able: Use for equipment debugging and effect display


 Precautions for Site Survey
•Use only indoors, at constant temperature and without wind (including natural wind, air conditioning
wind, etc.) and avoid direct sunlight and high temperature interference sources.
•Ensure that the indoor temperature is 50°−95° F (10°−35° C). If the temperature range is exceeded, the
temperature measurement accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
•According to the regulations of thermal camera, the position of the security door must be so that the
visible light channel has enough illumination, and must avoid backlight, reflection, occlusion, etc.
•Thermal camera warm-up time must exceed 30 minutes.
•When personnel enter the room from outdoors, they need to take off hats and lift up their bangs. It is
recommended to wait 3−5 minutes before measuring the temperature, once the surface temperature is
stable. (After strenuous exercise, the body surface temperature is unstable, which will cause
inaccurate temperature measurement.)

•When measuring human body temperature, a person needs to stand at a distance of 3' 4" (1 meter)
from the fixed security gate, pass through one-by-one, stop briefly, and face the camera.


 Installation and Wiring
1. Open package.
1) Open package and check if all items are complete, as the following picture shows.
2. Connect the left and right door panels.

2) After connecting the door panels, connect the cable. The right side will be the power cable and
signal cable, the left side will be the signal cable only. Pay close attention to the left and right
signs, and make sure the correct cables are connected to each side.

NOTE: Make sure to pay attention to the left and right signs and connect the correct cables.
3. Connect the camera to its bracket.
1) Remove trim from the camera and fix it on the bracket with three screws, then replace the trim.

4. Connect the camera cable.
1) Connect power cable, RS-485 cable, and network cable.



1. Use the SADP tool to activate the device and type in the IP address on a Web page to log in to the
device. Choose “body thermometry–basic settings-target thermometry parameters,” set emissivity as
0.98 and distance as 1 m, and click Save.

2. Set the body thermometry configuration to do alarm configuration. The alarm temperature should
consider the actual situation; here we set 3 .5° C as the alarm temperature and 3 ° C as the pre-alarm
temperature.
3. Check the Enable Face Detection checkbox. Display temperature: check, temperature will display on
the visible light channel.

NOTE: If temperature screening camera is upgraded from baseline firmware to customized
firmware, restore the camera to the defaults, then reboot both the camera and the metal
detector door to take effect.

 Test Effect
1. Put the metal detector on, power on, and it will perform self-checking. After self-checking, it is ready
to work.
2. If the temperature is over the pre-alarm threshold, the screen will display real-time temperature, a
warning light will be on, and a buzzer will be triggered. If the temperature is over the alarm
temperature, besides the light and buzzer, a voice prompt will be broadcast, “temperature is abnormal,
please check.”

 How To Disable Metal Detection Function
If you want to disable the metal detection alarm, set the sensitivity of all areas to 0. Use the touch screen
to set as the following picture shows.
