1.1 About this documentation
• Read this documentation before initial operation or use. This is a prerequisite for safe, trouble-free
handling and use of the product.
• Observe the safety instructions and warnings in this documentation and on the product.
• Always keep the operating instructions with the product and make sure that the operating instructions
are with the product when it is given to other persons.

2 Safety
2.1 General power tool safety warnings
WARNING Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with this
power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated
(cordless) power tool.

Work area safety
▶Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
▶Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
▶Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose
control.
Electrical safety
▶Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter
plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of
electric shock.
▶Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
▶Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the
risk of electric shock.
▶Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep
cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the
risk of electric shock.
▶When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a
cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
▶If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD)
protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
▶Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do
not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
▶Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as a
dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will
reduce personal injuries.
▶Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power
source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on
the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
▶Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left
attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
▶Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the
power tool in unexpected situations.
▶Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair and clothing away from
moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
▶If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these
are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
▶Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore
tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.
Power tool use and care
▶Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool
will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
▶Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
▶Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery pack, if detachable, from
the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
▶Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the
power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands
of untrained users.
▶Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged,
have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power
tools.
▶Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are
less likely to bind and are easier to control.

▶Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking
into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for
operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
▶Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and
grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.
Battery tool use and care
▶Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type
of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
▶Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may
create a risk of injury and fire.
▶When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins,
keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
▶Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid
ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
▶Do not use a battery pack or tool that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may
exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
▶Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature
above 130° C (265 °F) may cause explosion.
▶Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or tool outside the temperature
range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside the specified range
may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
Service
▶Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
▶Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery packs should only be performed by the
manufacturer or authorized service providers.
2.2 Safety warnings common for grinding, sanding, wire brushing, polishing, carving or abrasive
cutting-off operations:
▶This power tool is intended to function as a grinder, sander, wire brush, polisher, carving or cut-off
tool. Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with this
power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and / or serious
injury.
▶Do not use accessories which are not specifically designed and recommended by the tool
manufacturer. Just because the accessory can be attached to your power tool, it does not assure safe
operation.
▶The rated speed of the grinding accessories must be at least equal to the maximum speed marked
on the power tool. Grinding accessories running faster than their rated speed can break and fly apart.
▶The outside diameter and the thickness of your accessory must be within the capacity rating of
your power tool. Incorrectly sized accessories cannot be adequately controlled.
▶The arbour size of wheels, sanding drums or any other accessory must properly fit the spindle or
collet of the power tool. Accessories that do not match the mounting hardware of the power tool will
run out of balance, vibrate excessively and may cause loss of control.
▶Mandrel mounted wheels, sanding drums, cutters or other accessories must be fully inserted into
the collet or chuck. If the mandrel is insufficiently held and/or the overhang of the wheel is too long, the
mounted wheel may become loose and be ejected at high velocity.
▶Do not use a damaged accessory. Before each use inspect the accessory such as abrasive wheels
for chips and cracks, sanding drum for cracks, tear or excess wear, wire brush for loose or
cracked wires. If power tool or accessory is dropped, inspect for damage or install an undamaged
accessory. After inspecting and installing an accessory, position yourself and bystanders away
from the plane of the rotating accessory and run the power tool at maximum no-load speed for
one minute. Damaged accessories will normally break apart during this test time.
▶Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on application, use face shield, safety goggles or
safety glasses. As appropriate, wear dust mask, hearing protectors, gloves and workshop apron
capable of stopping small abrasive or workpiece fragments. The eye protection must be capable of
stopping flying debris generated by various operations. The dust mask or respirator must be capable of

filtrating particles generated by your operation. Prolonged exposure to high intensity noise may cause
hearing loss.
▶Keep bystanders a safe distance away from work area. Anyone entering the work area must wear
personal protective equipment. Fragments of workpiece or of a broken accessory may fly away and
cause injury beyond immediate area of operation.
▶Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces only, when performing an operation where the
cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring. Cutting accessory contacting a "live" wire may make
exposed metal parts of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
▶Always hold the tool firmly in your hand(s) during the start-up. The reaction torque of the motor, as it
accelerates to full speed, can cause the tool to twist.
▶Use clamps to support workpiece whenever practical. Never hold a small workpiece in one hand
and the tool in the other hand while in use. Clamping a small workpiece allows you to use your hand(s)
to control the tool. Round material such as dowel rods, pipes or tubing have a tendency to roll while
being cut, and may cause the bit to bind or jump toward you.
▶Never lay the power tool down until the accessory has come to a complete stop. The spinning
accessory may grab the surface and pull the power tool out of your control.
▶After changing the bits or making any adjustments, make sure the collet nut, chuck or any other
adjustment devices are securely tightened. Loose adjustment devices can unexpectedly shift, causing
loss of control, loose rotating components will be violently thrown.
▶Do not run the power tool while carrying it at your side. Accidental contact with the spinning
accessory could snag your clothing, pulling the accessory into your body.
▶Regularly clean the power tool’s air vents. The motor’s fan will draw the dust inside the housing and
excessive accumulation of powdered metal may cause electrical hazards.
▶Do not operate the power tool near flammable materials. Sparks could ignite these materials.
▶Do not use accessories that require liquid coolants. Using water or other liquid coolants may result
in electrocution or shock.
Kickback and related warnings
Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched or snagged rotating wheel, sanding band, brush or any other
accessory. Pinching or snagging causes rapid stalling of the rotating accessory which in turn causes the
uncontrolled power tool to be forced in the direction opposite of the accessory’s rotation.
For example, if an abrasive wheel is snagged or pinched by the workpiece, the edge of the wheel that is
entering into the pinch point can dig into the surface of the material causing the wheel to climb out or kick
out. The wheel may either jump toward or away from the operator, depending on direction of the wheel’s
movement at the point of pinching. Abrasive wheels may also break under these conditions.
Kickback is the result of power tool misuse and/or incorrect operating procedures or conditions and can be
avoided by taking proper precautions as given below.
▶Maintain a firm grip on the power tool and position your body and arm to allow you to resist
kickback forces. The operator can control kickback forces, if proper precautions are taken.
▶Use special care when working corners, sharp edges etc. Avoid bouncing and snagging the
accessory. Corners, sharp edges or bouncing have a tendency to snag the rotating accessory and
cause loss of control or kickback.
▶Do not attach a toothed saw blade. Such blades create frequent kickback and loss of control.
▶Always feed the bit into the material in the same direction as the cutting edge is exiting from the
material (which is the same direction as the chips are thrown). Feeding the tool in the wrong direction
causes the cutting edge of the bit to climb out of the work and pull the tool in the direction of this feed.
▶When using rotary files, cut-off wheels, high-speed cutters or tungsten carbide cutters, always
have the work securely clamped. These wheels will grab if they become slightly canted in the groove,
and can kickback. When a cut-off wheel grabs, the wheel itself usually breaks. When a rotary file,
high-speed cutter or tungsten carbide cutter grabs, it may jump from the groove and you could lose
control of the tool.
Safety warnings specific for grinding and abrasive cutting-off operations:
▶Use only wheel types that are recommended for your power tool and only for recommended
applications. For example: do not grind with the side of a cut-off wheel. Abrasive cut-off wheels are
intended for peripheral grinding, side forces applied to these wheels may cause them to shatter.
▶For threaded abrasive cones and plugs use only undamaged wheel mandrels with an unrelieved
shoulder flange that are of correct size and length. Proper mandrels will reduce the possibility of
breakage.

▶Do not “jam” a cut-off wheel or apply excessive pressure. Do not attempt to make an excessive
depth of cut. Overstressing the wheel increases the loading and susceptibility to twisting or snagging of
the wheel in the cut and the possibility of kickback or wheel breakage.
▶Do not position your hand in line with and behind the rotating wheel. When the wheel, at the point of
operation, is moving away from your hand, the possible kickback may propel the spinning wheel and the
power tool directly at you.
▶When wheel is pinched, snagged or when interrupting a cut for any reason, switch off the power
tool and hold the power tool motionless until the wheel comes to a complete stop. Never attempt
to remove the cut-off wheel from the cut while the wheel is in motion otherwise kickback may
occur. Investigate and take corrective action to eliminate the cause of wheel pinching or snagging.
▶Do not restart the cutting operation in the workpiece. Let the wheel reach full speed and carefully
re-enter the cut. The wheel may bind, walk up or kickback if the power tool is restarted in the workpiece.
▶Support panels or any oversized workpiece to minimize the risk of wheel pinching and kickback.
Large workpieces tend to sag under their own weight. Supports must be placed under the workpiece
near the line of cut and near the edge of the workpiece on both sides of the wheel.
▶Use extra caution when making a “pocket cut” into existing walls or other blind areas. The
protruding wheel may cut gas or water pipes, electrical wiring or objects that can cause kickback.
Safety warnings specific for wire brushing operations:
▶Be aware that wire bristles are thrown by the brush even during ordinary operation. Do not
overstress the wires by applying excessive load to the brush. The wire bristles can easily penetrate
light clothing and/or skin.
▶Allow brushes to run at operating speed for at least one minute before using them. During this
time no one is to stand in front or in line with the brush. Loose bristles or wires will be discharged
during the run-in time.
▶Direct the discharge of the spinning wire brush away from you. Small particles and tiny wire fragments
may be discharged at high velocity during the use of these brushes and may become imbedded in your
skin.
2.3 Battery use and care
▶Observe the special regulations and instructions applicable to the transport, storage and use of Li-ion
batteries.
▶Do not expose batteries to high temperatures, direct sunlight or fire.
▶Do not disassemble, crush or incinerate batteries and do not subject them to temperatures over 80 °C.
▶Do not use or charge batteries that have suffered mechanical impact, have been dropped from a height
or show signs of damage. In this case, always contact your Hilti Service.
▶If the battery is too hot to touch it may be defective. In this case, place the product in a non-flammable
location, well away from flammable materials, where it can be kept under observation and allowed to
cool down. In this case, always contact your Hilti Service.
2.4 Additional safety instructions
▶When using the product, hold it in such a way that grinding dust, flying sparks and possible flying
fragments of the accessory tool or workpiece cannot hit you.
▶When changing the accessory tool, use only neatly fitting and undamaged wrenches.
▶Accessory tools must run perfectly round. Do not use accessory tools that are out of round.
▶Do not attempt to remove chips or splinters of material while the product is still running. Switch the
product off.
▶Switch the power tool on only after it is in position at the workpiece.
▶Wear protective gloves when changing accessory tools, because the accessory tool and the chuck get
hot during use.
▶Take breaks between working and do relaxation and finger exercises to improve the blood circulation in
your fingers. Exposure to vibration during long periods of work can lead to disorders of the blood vessels
and nervous system in the fingers, hands and wrists.
▶Make sure that the workplace is well ventilated and, where necessary, wear a respirator appropriate for
the type of dust generated.
▶Clean the shank of the accessory tool before inserting it. Make sure that the shank of the accessory
tool is always inserted at least 20 mm into the collet. After inserting the accessory tool, always securely
tighten the clamping nut. An inadequately secured accessory tool could work loose during operation and
fly away from the product.
▶Use only accessory tools that comply with the specifications in the technical data.

3.2 Intended use
The product described is a die grinder. It is designed for working on metal. It is designed for grinding and
abrasive cutting, for wire brushing, for polishing and for routing.
Use only accessory tools with a shank diameter appropriate for the collet mounted on the product. Comply
with the information in the technical data.
The product is suitable for dry use only, without water for cooling.
• Use only Hilti lithiumion batteries of the B 22 series with this product.
• Use only Hilti-approved battery chargers to charge these batteries. More information is available from

3.4 Li-ion battery charge status display
The charge status of the Liion battery is displayed after one of the two battery release buttons is pressed.

4.1 Noise information and vibration values in accordance with EN 62841
The sound pressure and vibration values given in these instructions were measured in accordance with a
standardized test and can be used to compare one power tool with another. They can also be used for a
preliminary assessment of exposure.
The data given represent the main applications of the power tool. However, if the power tool is used for
different applications, with different accessory tools, or is poorly maintained, the data can vary. This can
significantly increase exposure over the total working period.
An accurate estimation of exposure should also take into account the times when the tool is switched off, or
when it is running but not actually being used for a job. This can significantly reduce exposure over the total
working period.
Identify additional safety measures to protect the operator from the effects of noise and/or vibration, for

5 Preparations at the workplace
CAUTION
Risk of injury by inadvertent starting!
▶Before inserting the battery, make sure that the product is switched off.
▶Remove the battery before making any adjustments to the power tool or before changing accessories.
Observe the safety instructions and warnings in this documentation and on the product.
5.1 Charging the battery
1. Before charging the battery, read the operating instructions for the charger.
2. Make sure that the contacts on the battery and the contacts on the charger are clean and dry.

3. Use an approved charger to charge the battery.
5.2 Inserting the battery
CAUTION
Risk of injury by short circuit or falling battery!
▶Before inserting the battery, make sure that the contacts on the battery and the contacts on the product
are free of foreign matter.
▶Make sure that the battery always engages correctly.
1. Charge the battery fully before using it for the first time.
2. Push the battery into the battery holder until it engages with an audible click.
3. Check that the battery is seated securely.
5.3 Removing the battery
1. Press the battery release buttons.
2. Remove the battery from the tool.

ATTENTION
Risk of damage to the collet if the clamping nut is tightened on an empty collet.
▶Never tighten the clamping nut without an accessory tool inserted in the collet.
CAUTION
Risk of injury and damage if the accessory tool runs out of true or is damaged.
▶Do not use damaged accessory tools. Before starting work, check that the die grinder runs smoothly,
with little vibration.
1. Hold the collet with the small wrench and use the large wrench to loosen the clamping nut.
2. Pull the accessory tool out of the collet.
3. Insert the shank of the accessory tool as far as it will go into the collet.
4. Exposed shaft length L0cannot be more than 10 mm. The shank of the accessory tool must be inserted
at least 20 mm into the collet.
5. Hold the collet with the small wrench and use the large wrench to tighten the clamping nut.
6. Check that the accessory tool is held securely.

2. By turning the adjusting knob for speed, set a speed that is suitable for the accessory tool and the
planned use.

abrasive cut-off disc for grinding. Abrasive cut-off discs are intended for cutting at their peripheral edge.
4. Secure the workpiece. Never try work with a small workpiece held in one hand and the die grinder held
in the other. Always hold the die grinder with both hands on the grips provided.
5. Guide the die grinder to the workpiece. Apply moderate pressure and do not press the accessory tool
into the material.

immediately by Hilti Service.
• After cleaning and maintenance, fit all guards or protective devices and check that they function correctly.

1. Hold the spindle with the small wrench and use the large wrench to loosen the clamping nut.
2. If applicable, pull the accessory tool out of the collet.
3. Unscrew the clamping nut with collet from the die grinder.
4. Position the new clamping nut with collet on the spindle, engage the threads and loosely screw the
clamping nut on to the spindle. Do not tighten the clamping nut.

2 Ohutus
2.1 Üldised ohutusnõuded elektriliste tööriistade kasutamisel
HOIATUS! Lugege kõiki selle elektrilise tööriista juurde kuuluvaid ohutusjuhiseid, nõuandeid,
jooniseid ja tehnilisi andmeid! Järgmiste juhiste eiramise tagajärg võib olla elektrilöök, tulekahju ja/või
rasked vigastused.
Hoidke kõik ohutusnõuded ja juhised edaspidiseks kasutamiseks alles.
Ohutusjuhistes kasutatud mõiste "elektriline tööriist" käib võrgutoitega (toitejuhtmega) elektriliste tööriistade
või akutoitega (toitejuhtmeta) elektriliste tööriistade kohta.
Ohutus töökohal
▶Hoidke oma töökoht puhas ja valgustage seda korralikult. Korrastamata ja valgustamata töökoht
võib põhjustada õnnetusi.
▶Ärge kasutage elektrilist tööriista plahvatusohtlikus keskkonnas, kus leidub tuleohtlikke vedelikke,
gaase või tolmu. Elektrilistest tööriistadest lööb sädemeid, mis võivad tolmu või aurud süüdata.
▶Hoidke lapsed ja kõik teised töökohast eemal, kui kasutate elektrilist tööriista! Kui teie tähelepanu
juhitakse kõrvale, võib seade teie kontrolli alt väljuda.
Elektriohutus
▶Elektrilise tööriista pistik peab sobima pistikupessa. Pistiku juures ei tohi teha mingeid muudatusi.
Kaitsemaandusega seadmete puhul ei tohi kasutada adapterpistikuid. Muutmata pistikud ja sobivad
pistikupesad vähendavad elektrilöögiohtu.
▶Vältige keha kontakti maandatud pindadega (nt toru, radiaator, pliit, külmik). Kui teie keha on
maandatud, on elektrilöögi oht suurem.
▶Kaitske elektrilist tööriista vihma ja niiskuse eest. Kui elektrilise tööriista sisemusse satub vett,
suurendab see elektrilöögiohtu.
▶Ärge kasutage ühenduskaablit elektrilise tööriista kandmiseks, riputamiseks ega pistiku stepslist
väljatõmbamiseks! Hoidke ühenduskaablit eemal kuumusest, õlidest, teravatest servadest ja
liikuvatest osadest. Kahjustatud või keerdus ühenduskaablid suurendavad elektrilöögiohtu.
▶Kui töötate elektrilise tööriistaga vabas õhus, kasutage ainult selliseid pikendusjuhtmeid, mida
tohib kasutada ka välitingimustes. Välitingimustesse sobiva pikendusjuhtme kasutamine vähendab
elektrilöögiohtu.
▶Kui seadmega töötamine niiskes keskkonnas on vältimatu, kasutage rikkevoolu kaitselülitit.
Rikkevoolu kaitselüliti kasutamine vähendab elektrilöögiohtu.
Inimeste ohutus
▶Olge tähelepanelik, jälgige, mida teete, ja toimige elektrilise tööriistaga töötades kaalutletult. Ärge
töötage elektrilise tööriistaga, kui olete väsinud või alkoholi, narkootikumide või ravimite mõju all!
Hetkeline tähelepanematus elektrilise tööriista kasutamisel võib põhjustada raskeid kehavigastusi
ja varalist kahju.
▶Kandke isiklikke kaitsevahendeid ja alati kaitseprille. Isiklike kaitsevahendite, nt tolmumaski,
libisemiskindlate turvajalatsite, kaitsekiivri või kuulmiskaitsevahendite kandmine (sõltuvalt elektrilise
tööriista tüübist ja kasutusalast) vähendab vigastusohtu.
▶Vältige elektrilise tööriista soovimatut käivitamist! Enne elektrilise tööriista ühendamist vooluvõrku
ja/või elektrilise tööriista aku paigaldamist, tööriista ülestõstmist ja kandmist veenduge, et
elektriline tööriist on välja lülitatud! Kui hoiate elektrilise tööriista kandmisel sõrme lülitil või ühendate
vooluvõrku sisselülitatud tööriista, võib juhtuda õnnetus.
▶Enne elektrilise tööriista sisselülitamist eemaldage selle küljest seade- ja mutrivõtmed. Elektrilise
tööriista pöörleva osa küljes olev seade- või mutrivõti võib põhjustada vigastusi.
▶Vältige ebatavalist tööasendit! Võtke stabiilne tööasend ja säilitage alati tasakaal. Nii saate elektrilist
tööriista ootamatutes olukordades paremini kontrollida.
▶Kandke sobivat rõivastust. Ärge kandke laiu riideid ega ehteid! Hoidke juuksed, rõivad ja kindad
seadme liikuvatest osadest eemal. Lotendavad riided, ehted ja pikad juuksed võivad sattuda seadme
liikuvate osade vahele.

▶Kui elektrilise tööriista külge on võimalik paigaldada tolmueemaldus- ja kogumisseadiseid, veen-
duge, et need on tööriistaga ühendatud ja et neid kasutatakse nõuetekohaselt. Tolmueemaldus-
seadise kasutamine võib vähendada tolmust tingitud ohte.
▶Ärge laske tekkida petlikul turvatundel ega eirake elektrilise tööriista ohutusreegleid isegi siis, kui
olete pärast paljukordset kasutamist elektrilise tööriistaga harjunud. Tähelepanematu käsitsemine
võib sekundi murdosa jooksul kaasa tuua raskeid vigastusi.
Elektrilise tööriista kasutamine ja käsitsemine
▶Ärge koormake seadet üle! Kasutage konkreetseks tööks sobivat elektrilist tööriista. See töötab
ettenähtud jõudluspiirides tõhusamalt ja ohutumalt.
▶Ärge kasutage elektrilist tööriista, mille lüliti on rikkis! Elektriline tööriist, mida ei saa enam lülitist
korralikult sisse ja välja lülitada, on ohtlik ning tuleb viia parandusse.
▶Tõmmake enne seadme mis tahes seadetöid, tarvikute vahetamist ja seadme hoiulepanekut
pistik pistikupesast välja ja/või eemaldage äravõetav aku. See ettevaatusabinõu hoiab ära seadme
soovimatu käivitumise.
▶Kasutusvälisel ajal hoidke elektrilist tööriista lastele kättesaamatus kohas. Ärge laske seadet
kasutada isikutel, kes seadme tööpõhimõtet ei tunne või ei ole lugenud käesolevaid kasutusjuhen-
deid. Asjatundmatute isikute käes on elektrilised tööriistad ohtlikud.
▶Hooldage elektrilisi tööriistu ja tarvikuid korralikult. Kontrollige, kas liikuvad osad töötavad veatult
ega kiilu kiini. Veenduge, et seadme osad ei ole murdunud või kahjustatud määral, mis mõjutab
seadme töökindlust. Laske kahjustatud osad enne seadme kasutamist parandada. Ebapiisavalt
hooldatud elektrilised tööriistad põhjustavad õnnetusi.
▶Hoidke lõiketarvikud teravad ja puhtad. Hästi hooldatud, teravate lõikeservadega lõiketarvikud kiiluvad
harvemini kinni ja neid on lihtsam juhtida.
▶Kasutage elektrilist tööriista, tarvikuid ja lisatarvikuid vastavalt nendele juhistele. Arvestage
seejuures töötingimuste ja tehtava töö iseloomuga. Elektrilise tööriista kasutamine otstarbel, milleks
see ei ole ette nähtud, võib põhjustada ohtlikke olukordi.
▶Käepidemed ja haardepinnad peavad olema kuivad, puhtad ning vabad õlist ja rasvast. Libedad
käepidemed ja haardepinnad ei võimalda elektrilist tööriista ootamatutes olukordades kindlalt käsitseda
ega kontrollida.
Akuga tööriista kasutamine ja käsitsemine
▶Laadige akusid ainult tootja soovitatud laadimisseadmega. Kui teatud tüüpi aku laadimiseks
ettenähtud laadimisseadet kasutatakse teist tüüpi akude laadimiseks, tekib tulekahjuoht.
▶Kasutage elektrilistes tööriistades ainult ettenähtud akusid. Teist tüüpi akude kasutamine võib
põhjustada vigastus- ja põlenguohtu.
▶Hoidke akud kasutusvälisel ajal eemal kirjaklambritest, müntidest, võtmetest, naeltest, kruvidest ja
teistest väikestest metallesemetest, mis võivad aku kontaktid omavahel ühendada. Aku kontaktide
vahel tekkiv lühis võib põhjustada põletuse või tulekahju.
▶Väärkasutuse korral võib akuvedelik akust välja voolata. Vältige sellega kokkupuudet. Juhusliku
kokkupuute korral loputage kahjustatud kohta veega. Kui vedelik satub silma, otsige ka arstiabi.
Väljavoolav akuvedelik võib põhjustada nahaärritust või põletust.
▶Ärge kasutage kahjustatud ega modifitseeritud akut! Kahjustatud või modifitseeritud akud võivad
käituda ettenägematult ja põhjustada tulekahju, plahvatusi või vigastusohtu.
▶Ärge laske akul kokku puutuda tule ega liiga kõrge temperatuuriga! Tuli või temperatuur üle 130 °C
(265 °F) võivad tekitada plahvatuse.
▶Järgige kõiki laadimisjuhiseid ja ärge kunagi laadige akut ega akutööriista väljaspool kasutusju-
hendis näidatud temperatuurivahemikku. Väär laadimine või laadimine väljaspool lubatud tempera-
tuurivahemikku võib kahjustada akut ja suurendada tuleohtu.
Hooldus
▶Laske elektrilist tööriista parandada ainult kvalifitseeritud spetsialistidel, kes kasutavad originaal-
varuosi. Nii on tagatud elektrilise tööriista ohutu töö.
▶Ärge hooldage kahjustatud akut! Akut võib hooldada ainult tootja või volitatud klienditeenindus.
2.2 Ühised ohutusnõuded lihvimisel, liivapaberiga lihvimisel, traatharjadega töötlemisel, poleeri-
misl, freesimisel ja lõikamisel:
▶Elektriline tööriist on ette nähtud kasutamiseks lihvmasinana, liivapaberiga lihvijana, traatharjana,
poleerijana, freesimiseks ja ketaslõikurina. Järgige kõiki seadmega kaasasolevaid ohutusnõudeid,
juhiseid, kirjeldusi ja andmeid. Järgnevate juhiste eiramise tagajärjeks võib olla elektrilöök, tulekahju
ja/või rasked vigastused.

▶Ärge kasutage lisatarvikuid, mida tootja ei ole spetsiaalselt selle seadme jaoks ette näinud ega
soovitanud. Asjaolu, et lisatarvikut saab seadme külge kinnitada, ei taga veel ohutut tööd.
▶Tarviku lubatud pöörete arv peab olema vähemalt sama suur nagu seadmel toodud maksimaalne
pöörlemiskiirus. Lubatust kiiremini pöörlev tarvik võib puruneda ja selle tükid võivad laiali paiskuda.
▶Tarviku välisläbimõõt ja paksus peavad olema vastavuses seadme mõõtmetega. Valede mõõtme-
tega tarvikuid ei kata kettakaitse piisaval määral ning need võivad väljuda Teie kontrolli alt.
▶Lihvkettad, lihvrullid ja muud tarvikud peavad elektrilise tööriista spindliga või kinnitustsangiga
täpselt sobima. Tarvikud, mis ei tööriista kinnitusavasse täpselt ei sobi, pöörlevad ebaühtlaselt,
vibreerivad tugevalt ja võivad põhjustada kontrolli kaotuse seadme üle.
▶Tornile paigaldatud kettad, lihvimissilindrid, lõiketarvikud ja muud tarvikud peavad olema täies
ulatuses sisestatud kinnitustsangi või padrunisse. Torni "väljaulatumine" või katmata osa lihvimis-
tarviku ja kinnitustsangi või padruni vahel peab olema minimaalne. Kui torn ei ole piisavalt pingutatud
või kui lihvimistarvik ulatub liiga kaugele ette, võib tarvik lahti tulla ja suurel kiirusel välja paiskuda.
▶Ärge kasutage kahjustatud tarvikuid. Iga kord enne kasutamist kontrollige tarvikuid, näiteks
lihvkettaid rebendite japragude, lihvimisrullepragude, kulumisevõi kasutusressursi ammendumise
suhtes, traatharju lahtiste või murdunud traatide suhtes. Kui seade või tarvik kukub maha,
kontrollige seda vigastuste suhtes ja vajaduse korral võtke kasutusele vigastamata tarvik. Pärast
tarviku kontrollimist ja paigaldamist laske seadmel töötada ühe minuti jooksul maksimaalsetel
pööretel. Seejuures veenduge, et ei Teie ega läheduses viibivad inimesed ei asu pöörleva tarvikuga
ühel joonel. Nimetatud katseaja jooksul vigastatud tarvikud üldjuhul murduvad.
▶Kasutage isikukaitsevahendeid. Kandke vastavalt töö iseloomule näokaitsemaski, silmade kait-
semaski või kaitseprille. Vajaduse korral kandke tolmukaitsemaski, kuulmiskaitsevahendeid,
kaitsekindaid või kaitsepõlle, mis püüab kinni lihvimisel eralduvad väiksemad materjaliosakesed.
Silmad peavad olema kaitstud erinevatel töödel eralduvate ja eemalepaiskuvate võõrkehade eest. Tolmu-
ja hingamisteede kaitsemask peab filtreerima töötamisel tekkiva tolmu. Pikaajaline vali müra võib kahjus-
tada kuulmist.
▶Veenduge, et teised inimesed viibivad tööpiirkonnast ohutul kaugusel. Kõik tööpiirkonda sisenevad
inimesed peavad kandma isikukaitsevahendeid. Töödeldava tooriku või murdunud tarviku osakesed
võivad eemale paiskuda ja põhjustada vigastusi ka väljaspool vahetut tööpiirkonda.
▶Kui teete töid, mille puhul võib tarvik tabada varjatud elektrijuhtmeid, hoidke seadet isoleeritud
haardepinnast. Kokkupuude pingestatud elektrijuhtmega võib seada pinge alla ka seadme metalldetailid
ja põhjustada elektrilöögi.
▶Käivitamisel hoidke elektrilist tööriista alati tugevasti kinni. Täispööretele jõudmisel võib mootori

▶Võimaluse korral kasutage tooriku kinnitamiseks pitskruvi. Elektrilise tööriistaga töötamise ajal
ärrge kunagi hoidke väikest toorikut ühes käes ja elektrilist tööriista teises käes. Kui väikesed
toorikud on kinnitatud, on teil mõlemad käed vabad, selleks et tööriista paremini kontrolli all hoida. Ümarad
toorikud, näiteks puidutüüblid, latid või torud kalduvad lõikamisel eemale veerema, mille tagajärjel võib
toorik blokeeruda ja teie suunas paiskuda.
▶Ärge pange seadet kunagi käest enne, kui tarvik on täielikult seiskunud. Pöörlev tarvik võib pinnaga
kokku puutuda, mille tagajärjel võib seade Teie kontrolli alt väljuda.
▶Pärast tarvikute vahetamist või tööriista seadistamist pingutage kinnitustsangi mutter, padrun ja
muud kinnituselemendid tugevasti kinni. Lõdvalt kinnitatud kinnituselemendid võivad ootamatult lahti
tulla ja põhjustada kontrolli kaotuse seadme üle; kinnitamata pöörlevad osad paiskuvad suure jõuga
eemale.

▶Puhastage seadme ventilatsiooniavasid regulaarselt. Mootori jahutusventilaator tõmbab tolmu
korpusesse ning kuhjunud metallitolm võib põhjustada elektrilisi ohte.
▶Ärge kasutage seadet süttivate materjalide läheduses. Sädemed võivad need materjalid süüdata.
▶Ärge kasutage tarvikuid, mille jahutamiseks on ette nähtud jahutusvedelikud. Vee või teiste
jahutusvedelike kasutamine võib põhjustada elektrilöögi.
Tagasilöök ja asjaomased ohutusnõuded
Tagasilöök on kinnikiilunud tarviku, näiteks lihvketta, lihvtalla, traatharja jmt tõttu tekkinud äkiline reaktsioon.
Kinnikiilumine põhjustab pöörleva tarviku järsu seiskumise. Selle toimel liigub kontrolli alt väljunud seade
tarviku pöörlemissuunale vastupidises suunas.
Kui näiteks lihvketas toorikus kinni kiilub, võib lihvketta serv toorikusse kinni jääda, mille tagajärjel võib
lihvketas murduda või põhjustada tagasilöögi. Lihvketas liigub siis sõltuvalt ketta pöörlemissuunast kas
seadme kasutaja poole või temast eemale. Lihvkettad võivad seejuures ka murduda.
