SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
WARNING – To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock,
or injury to persons:
• Burns could occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam.
Use care when you turn a steam appliance upside down – there may be
hot water in the reservoir.
• To reduce the risk of contact with hot water emitting from steam vents,
check appliance before each use by holding it away from body and
operating steam button.
• Use appliance only for its intended use.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in
water or other liquids.
• Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull
to disconnect.
• Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let appliance cool completely
before putting away. Loop cord loosely around appliance when storing.
• Always disconnect appliance form electrical outlet when filling with water
or emptying, and when not in use.
• Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord, or if the appliance has
been dropped or damaged. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do
not disassemble or attempt to repair the appliance, take it to a qualified
service person for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly or
repair could cause a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons when
the appliance is used.
• Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near
children. Do not leave appliance unattended while connected.
• To reduce the likelihood of circuit overload, do not operate another high
wattage appliance on the same circuit.
• If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10 ampere rated cord
should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care
should be taken to arrange the cord so that the cord cannot be pulled or
tripped over.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug
(one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper
outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before Beginning
1. ReadallinstructionsincludingImportantSafetyInstructionsandWarningsbeforeuse.
2. Carefullyremoveallcontentsfromthepackagingandinspecttheproducttomake
sureallcomponentshavebeenreceived(Fig1).
3. Completelyunwindthepowercordfromthebottomoftheappliance.

Filling the Water Tank
1. Besuretheunitisoffandunplugged.
2. FillthewatertankthroughtheHoseConnectorOpeningwithcoldwatertothe
desiredlevel(Fig2).DoNOTfillpastthe
Maximumfillline.
NOTE:Onlyfillthewatertankwithcold
water.DoNOTusehotwater.

Using the Steamer
Alwayscheckfabriclabelsforrecommendationsbeforesteaming.Testcolorfastnessin
aninconspicuousspot.Somefabricscanbesteamedbetterfromtheundersideofthe
material.Heavyfabricsmayrequirerepeatedsteaming.Neversteamagarmentwhileitis
beingworn.
1. Placethesteameronthefloor.
2. Hangthedoorhookonthetopofadoorandplacethesteam
nozzleonthedoorhookwiththesteamventspointingawayfrom
thedoor(Fig4).
3. Plugthesteamercordintoa120VACelectricaloutlet.
4. PresstheON/OFFswitchtotheONposition.Theswitchwill
illuminatetoindicatethegarmentsteamerison(Fig5).Steam
willemitinapproximately5-6minutesfromthesteamnozzle.
NOTE:Keepthesteamnozzleonthedoorhookuntilsteam
forms.
5. Removethesteamnozzlefromthedoorhookwiththesteam
ventspointingawayfromyou.Hangthegarmentonahanger
andhangonthedoorhook(Fig6).
6. Lightlytouchthegarmentwiththesteamnozzleandsteam
inanup/downverticalmotionstartingfromthetopofthe
garmenttothebottom.Alwayskeepthehoseandnozzle
elevatedabovethesteamer(Fig6).
NOTE:Thesteamermaymakeagurglingsoundduring
operation.Thisisanormalresultofcondensation.Ifthis
happens,extendthehoseupandoutsotheexcessmoisturecan
drainbackintothewatertank.
7. Whenyouhavefinishedsteaming,placethesteamnozzleonthe
doorhook(Fig4)andturntheON/OFFswitchtotheOFFposition
(Fig5).
8. Usecautionwhenhandlinguntilthesteamerhasfullycooled.
Using Attachments
Whenattachingorchangingattachments,besuretheunitisoff,unplugged,and
completelycooltoavoidcontactwithhotwater.
Fabric Brush
Thefabricbrushopenstheweaveoffabricsforbettersteam

• Attachthefabricbrushtothesteamnozzlebylininguptheback
ofthefabricbrushwiththesteamnozzleslotandgentlypushinto
theslot(Fig7).
• Movethefabricbrushinadownwardmotionfromtoptobottom
gentlybrushingthefabric.
Crease Clamp

oftheunit(Fig13).

Cleaning and Maintenance
1. Disconnectsteamerfromelectricoutlet.
2 Donotattempttocleanwhenhot.
3. Cleanexposedpartswithasoft,slightlydampcloth.Toremovestains,useamild
soap.
4. Neverusedetergents,excesswater,treatedcloths,harshcleaningagents,orspray
cleaners.
5. Donotimmersethesteamerinwater.
6. Donotattempttodisassemble,oropenthesteamercasingasthiswillvoidyour
warranty.
7. FollowtheRemovingMineralBuild-Upprocedureevery100hoursofoperationto
helpavoidmineralbuild-up.
8. Watermineralcontentandconditionswillvaryindifferentareas.Toensure
continuedoperationofthesteamer,neverstorewithoutcleaningandremoving
excesswaterfromthewatertank.
9. Inareaswherethevoltageexceeds120V,itmaybenecessarytocleanyourunit
morefrequently.
Removing Mineral Build-Up
Onecommonproblemwithsteamersismineralbuild-upcausedbythehighmineral
contentofmanymunicipalwatersupplies.Mineralresidueinsideoftheinternalpipesand
heatercancauseintermittentsteamingorinseverecases,nosteamingatall.
Thebestwaytoavoidthisistousede-mineralizedordistilledwaterintheunit.The
followingprocedurecanbeusedtoremovemineralbuild-up.Ifyouareunabletouse
de-mineralizedordistilledwater,werecommendyouusethisprocedureevery100hours
ofusetohelpavoidmineralbuild-up.
1. Turntheunitoffandunplugthepowercord.Allowthesteamertocool
for30minutes.
2. Removethesteamhosefromtheunit.
3. Fillthewatertankwith7oz.ofwhitevinegarand13oz.ofwater.
4. Connectthesteamhoseontotheunitandhangthesteamnozzleonthedoorhook.
5. Plugthesteamerintoa120VACelectricaloutlet.
6. Letthesteamerrunfor3minuteswiththismixture.
NOTE:DoNOTsteamanyfabricwiththismixture.
7. Turntheunitoffandunplugthepowercord.
8. Allowthesteamertocoolforatleast30minutes.
9. Removethesteamhoseandemptythewatertankoverthesink.
10.Rinsethewatertankwithfreshwaterandpourout.
11.Fillthesteamerwithfreshwaterandrepeatsteps4-9.
12.Reassemblethesteamerandoperatenormally.

Limited Two Year Warranty
HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship
for a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. HoMedics warrants
that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This
warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, mail the product and your dated sales receipt (as
proof of purchase), postpaid, to the following address:

No COD’s will be accepted.
HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer
purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way
beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse;
accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation;
unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power;
dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s
recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental
conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or
repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the
product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any
other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or
repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.
THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE
SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH
RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR
ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY
REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND
TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES
THE RIGHT TO MAKE PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.
This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/or resealed
products, including but not limited to sale of such products on Internet auction sites and/or sales of
such products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease
and terminate as to any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified,
without the prior express and written consent of HoMedics.
This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights which may vary
from country to country. Because of individual country regulations, some of the above limitations and
exclusions may not apply to you.

CIERTAS PRECAUCIONES BÁSICAS DE SEGURIDAD, INCLUYENDO LO
SIGUIENTE:
LEER TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES ANTES DEL USO.
ADVERTENCIA - Para reducir el riesgo de quemaduras,
incendio, choque eléctrico o lesiones a las personas:
• El tocar partes metálicas calientes, agua caliente o vapor puede
ocasionar quemaduras. Ponga cuidado cuando voltea boca abajo
un artefacto que produce vapor – puede haber agua caliente en el
tanque.
• Para reducir el riesgo de contacto con agua caliente que sale de
las aberturas para el vapor, verifique el artefacto antes de cada uso
sosteniéndolo alejado de su cuerpo y de la unidad de operación.
• Use este artefacto sólo para el uso para el cual ha sido diseñado.
• Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico, no sumerja este
artefacto en agua u otros líquidos.
• Nunca jale del cordón para desconectar del tomacorriente; en
cambio, agarre el enchufe y jálelo para desconectar.
• No permita que el cable toque superficies calientes. Deje el
aparato enfriar completamente antes de guardar. Enrolle el cable
holgadamente alrededor del aparato cuando lo guarde.
• Siempre desconecte el artefacto del tomacorriente cuando lo va a
llenar de agua o a vaciar, y cuando no lo esté usando.
• No opere el artefacto si tiene el cordón eléctrico dañado, o si se
lo ha dejado caer o está dañado. Para reducir el riesgo de choque
eléctrico, no desarme ni trate de arreglar este artefacto. Llévelo
con una persona de servicio calificada para revisión y reparación.
El armado o la reparación incorrecta pueden crear un riesgo de

• Se requiere una supervisión estrecha cuando cualquier artefacto

póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado para que
instale el tomacorriente adecuado. No modifique el enchufe de

Llenado del tanque de agua
1. Asegúresedequelaunidadestéapagadaydesenchufada.
2. Lleneeltanquedeaguaporlaaberturadelconectordelamanguera,conagua
fría,hastaelniveldeseado(Fig.2).NOlolleneporencimadelalíneadellenado
máximo.
NOTA:usesoloaguafríaparallenareltanque.
NOuseaguacaliente.
3. Cuandohayaterminadodellenareltanque,alinee
laflechadelenchufeconectordelamanguera
devaporconelsímbolodedestrabado del
armazóndelaplanchadevapor,presionecon
firmezaelconectorhaciaabajoygirehaciala
derechademodoquelaflechaapunte
haciaelsímbolodetrabado ,afinde
trancarconseguridadlamangueraen
elarmazóndelaplancha(Fig.3).

Revisesiemprelasrecomendacionesdelasetiquetasdelatelaantesdeplancharal
vapor.Pruebelainalterabilidaddelcolorenunlugardondepaseinadvertido.Algunas
telasseplanchanmejoralvaporponiéndolasalrevés.Lastelaspesadasprobablemente
debanserplanchadasalvaporvariasveces.Nuncaplanchecon
vaporunaprendaquetengapuesta.
1. Coloquelaplanchaavaporenelpiso.
2. Cuelgueelganchoparapuertaenlapartesuperiordeuna
puertaycoloquelaboquilladevaporenelgancho,conlas
salidasdevaporapuntandohaciaelladoopuestoalapuerta
(Fig.4).
3. Enchufeelcabledelaplanchaavaporenuntomacorrientede
120voltiosdeCA.
4. Presioneelinterruptordeencendidoyapagadoydéjeloen
laposiciónON.Elinterruptorseiluminaráparaindicarquela
planchaavaporestáencendida(Fig.5)Elvaporsaldrápor
laboquillaenunos5-6minutos.
NOTA:mantengalaboquilladevaporenelganchopara
puertahastaqueseformevapor.
5. Quitelaboquilladevapordelganchoparapuertaconlas
salidasdevaporapuntandohaciaelladoopuestoadonde
ustedesté.Cuelguelaprendaenunaperchaylaperchaen
elganchoparapuerta(Fig.6).
6. Toqueapenaslaprendaconlaboquilladevaporyplánchela
conunmovimientovertical,haciaarribayhaciaabajo,
comenzandodesdelapartesuperiordelaprendayhastaabajo.
Siempremantengalamangueraylaboquillaelevadaspor
encimadelaplancha(Fig.6).
NOTA:esposiblequelaplanchahagaunruidodeborboteo
duranteelfuncionamiento.Estoesunaconsecuencianormal
delacondensación.Siestosucediera,extiendahaciaarriba
yhaciaafueralamanguera,paraqueelexcesodehumedad
puedaescurrirsedevueltaaltanquedeagua.
7. Cuandohayaterminadodeplancharalvapor,coloquelaboquilladevaporenel
ganchodelapuerta(Fig.4)yvuelvaaponerelinterruptordeencendidoyapagado
enlaposiciónOFF(Fig.5).
8. Cuatengacuidadoalmanipularlaplanchahastaquesehayaenfriadopor
completo.
Uso de los accesorios
Cuandocoloqueocambielosaccesorios,asegúresedequelaunidadestéapagada,
desenchufadaytotalmentefríaparaevitarelcontactoconelaguacaliente.

Elcepilloparatelaabrelatramadelastelasparaquepenetremejor
elvapor.
• Adjunteelcepilloparatelaalaboquilladevapor,alineando
lapartetraseradelcepilloconlaranuradelaboquillay
empujándolosuavementehaciaadentrodelaranura(Fig.7).
• Desliceelcepilloparatelaconunmovimientodearribahacia
abajocepillandosuavementelatela.

delamanguerahacialaizquierda,paraquelapuntade
laflechaapuntehaciaelsímbolodedestrabado ,ytire
haciaarriba(Fig.11).
5. Vacíeelaguadeltanquevertiéndolaenunapileta(Fig.12).

Limpieza y mantenimiento
1. Desconectelaplanchadeltomacorriente.
2 Nointentelimpiarlacuandoestécaliente.
3. Limpielaspartesexpuestasconunpañosuave,apenashúmedo.Paraquitar
manchas,useunjabónsuave.
4. Nuncausedetergentes,aguaenexceso,pañostratados,agentesdelimpieza
fuertesnilimpiadoresenaerosol.
5. Nosumerjaenagualaplancha.
6. Nointentedesarmarla,niabrirlacarcasadelaplanchayaqueestoanularásu
garantía.
7. Sigaelprocedimientopararetirarlosresiduosmineralescada100horasde
funcionamiento,paraevitarlaacumulacióndeminerales.
8. Elcontenidodemineralesenelaguaylascondicionesvariaránendistintaszonas.
Paraasegurarunfuncionamientocontinuodelaplanchaavapor,nuncalaguarde
sinanteslimpiarlayretirarelexcesodeaguadeltanquedeagua.
9. Enzonasdondeelvoltajesuperalos120voltios,esposiblequeseanecesario
limpiarlaconmayorfrecuencia.
Retiro de residuos minerales
Unproblemacomúndelasplanchasavaporeslaacumulacióndemineralescausada
porelaltocontenidodemineralesquehayenmuchossuministrosdeaguamunicipales.
Losresiduosmineralesdentrodelastuberíasinternasyelcalentadorpuedenprovocar
unasalidadevaporintermitenteo,encasosgraves,quenosalganadadevapor.
Lamejorformadeevitarestoesusaraguadesmineralizadaodestiladaenlaunidad.
Pararetirarlosresiduosmineralessepuedeusarelsiguienteprocedimiento.Sinopuede
usaraguadesmineralizadaodestilada,lerecomendamosrealizaresteprocedimiento
cada100horasdeuso,paraevitarlaacumulaciónderesiduosminerales.

seenfríedurante30minutos.
