ENGLISHEN
The gassing test cell allows the Searchline Excel™ Plus and
Searchline Excel™ Edge calibration to be checked using
a user-specified gas concentration, as an alternative to the stand-
ard functional test filters.
CAUTION
Prerequisite for calibration check using the gassing test cell is
installation of the Honeywell Fixed Platform App to a suitable
handheld device.
The test gas must be the same as the gas calibration of
the Searchline Excel Plus or Searchline Excel Edge units and ide-
ally the concentration should be between 2 and 5 LEL.m, never
below 1 LEL.m.
Note
For Universal Calibration units any of Methane, Ethane, Propane,
Butane, Ethylene can be used. Natural gas mixes can also be tested.
Note
Cross-calibration is not recommended. Typical values for cross-
sensitivity are not sufficiently precise to enable valid calibration
checks using the gassing test cell. Response tests can easily be
performed with the functional test filters.
Refer to the Technical Manual for more information.
WARNING
Take necessary precautions to ensure safety when dealing
with high concentration gasses.

The gassing test cell supplied by Honeywell Analytics
(Part No: 2017B0185) is 17 cm (0.55 ft) long and weighs 958 g
(2.11 lb).
The following table outlines the response expected when using
this gassing test cell:
*Pentane cannot be used with the gassing test cell. At normal temperatures,
this substance does not vaporise sufficiently to give a useful signal in the short path of the gassing test cell.

WARNING
These gases are flammable and some are toxic.
Take appropriate precautions when handling.
CONNECT THE GASSING TEST CELL
1. Connect the gassing test cell to the receiver. Ensure the locking
tab clicks into the right position.

2. Rotate the handle clockwise to lock the gassing test cell onto
the receiver.

3. Zero the receiver with the empty gassing test cell.
4. Apply the test gas to the gassing test cell. Avoid pressurising
the test cell. Wait for the receiver output to stabilise.
5. Check if the receiver output is as indicated in the table above,
±5% FSD.
6. Remove the test gas from the gassing test cell.
7. Remove the gassing test cell.
8. Re-zero the receiver.
Note
Field calibration is not supported. If result is not as expected contact
an authorized service centre.

Mit der Gasprüfzelle kann die Searchline Excel™ Plus und
Searchline Excel™ EdgeKalibrierung mit einer user-specified
Gaskonzentration als Alternative zu den Standard-
Funktionstestfiltern überprüft werden.
VORSICHT
Voraussetzung für die Kalibrierungsprüfung mit der
Gasprüfzelle ist die Installation der Honeywell Fixed Platform
App auf einem geeigneten HandheldGerät.
Das Prüfgas muss mit der Gaskalibrierung der Searchline Excel
Plus- oder Searchline Excel EdgeEinheiten identisch sein und
idealerweise sollte die Konzentration zwischen 2 und 5 LEL.m
liegen, niemals unter 1 LEL.m.
Hinweis
Für UniversalKalibrierungseinheiten können Methan, Ethan,
Propan, Butan, und Ethylen verwendet werden. Erdgasmischungen
können ebenfalls geprüft werden.
Hinweis
Eine Kreuzkalibrierung wird nicht empfohlen. Typische Werte für
die Kreuzempfindlichkeit sind nicht präzise genug, um valide
Kalibrierungsprüfungen mit der Gasprüfzelle zu ermöglichen.
Reaktionstests können einfach mit den Funktionstestfiltern
durchgeführt werden.

Die von Honeywell Analytics gelieferte Gasprüfzelle
(Art.Nr.: 2017B0185) ist 17 cm lang und wiegt 958 g (2,11 lb).
