Installing the SIM/USIM Card
There are two steps toinstall the SIM/USIM card:
1. Removethebatterycover.
2. InserttheSIM/USIMcard.

Installing the Battery
1. Angletheedgelabeled a (withthecontacts)intothebottomend
ofthebatterycompartment.
2. Pushtheedgelabeled b intothe compartmentuntilthe battery
clicksfirmlyintoplace.
Charging the Battery
Beforechargingthebattery,ensurethatithasbeenproperlyinstalled
onyour phone.
1. Connectthe USBcablethat camewithyour mobilephoneto
thecharger.
2. Connectthe otherendof theUSBcableto yourmobilephone.
Then,tostartcharging,plug the chargerintoan electricaloutlet.
If you charge your mobilephone while it is powered on, the battery
icon on thenotification bar indicates thecharging status. When the
battery icon changes to , your mobile phone isfully charged.

Status Indicator
The color of the status indicator tells you the status of your mobile
phone’s battery.
Touchscreen Actions
Using your finger on the touchscreen, you can operate your phone
conveniently.
Powering On Your Mobile Phone
Press . The first time youpower on your phone, youwill be
asked to sign in to your account and set up your mobile phone.
Ifpersonalidentificationnumber(PIN)protection is enabled on
your mobile phone, you must enter your PIN before using the
mobile phone.
Status Indicator
Green: Electricity at 90% to a fully charged(when connected to charger).
Red: Electricity below 90%(when connected to charger).

Locking the Screen
• Whenyourphone is on,press to lock the screen.When
the screen is locked, you can still receive messages and calls.
• If your phone is idle for a while, the screen will lock
automatically.
Unlocking the Screen
1. Press towakeupthescreen.
2. Dragthelockiconfromleft to righttounlockthescreen.
Home Screen
You can setup the Home screen according to your own
preferences, for example by adding a shortcut or a widget to your
Home screen, or changing the wallpaper.
To return to the Home screen from anyof its extensions, press .

When a new notification icon appears on the notification bar, place
your finger on the notification bar and flick down to open the
notificationpanel.
Adding a New Home Screen Item
1. TouchandholdablankareaontheHomescreenuntilthe Add
tohomescreen menuis displayed.
2. Selectanitem toaddittothe Homescreen.
Moving a Home Screen Item
1. Touchandhold anitemonthe Homescreenuntilthe item
expandsin sizeandthemobile phonevibrates.

Removing a Home Screen Item
1. Touchandhold anitemonthe Homescreenuntilthe item
expandsandthemobilephonevibrates.
2. Withoutlifting yourfinger,dragthe itemtothetrash can.When
theitemand thetrashcan turnred,the itemisreadyto be
removed.
3. Releasethe itemtoremoveitfromtheHome screen.
Importing Contactsfrom a SIM
Card
1. Inthecontactlist,touch > More > Import/Export .
2. Under Copycontacts from menu,selecttheSIMcardyou
wanttoimport,touch Next .
3. Under
Copycontactsto menu,selectastoragelocation,touch
Next .
4. WaitfortheSIMcardcontentstobeloaded.Selectthecontacts
youwant toimportortouch
Select All toselectall contacts.
5. Touch Copy .
Adding a Contact
1. Inthecontactlist,touch > Newcontact .
2. Ifyouhavemorethanone accountwithcontacts,touchthe
accountto whichyouwanttoaddthecontact.
3. Enterthe contact'sname,andthenadddetailedinformation
suchas phonenumberand Email.
4. Whenyou arefinished,touch Save tosavethecontact
information.

Making a Call with the Dialer
Application
Yourphonesupportsdual-carddual-standbymode,butthetwo
SIM cards cannot be used simultaneously. When you are
making a call with one SIM card, the other SIM card becomes
unavailable, that is, no incoming calls can be received and the
data services cannot be used.
On the home screen, touch to open the Dialer .
Your mobile phone supports the SmartDial function, that is, when
youtouchnumbersonthedialer,thephoneautomaticallysearches
among your contacts and lists the matchingresults ordered
according to the accuracy of the match. If no contacts match the
information entered, the phone will not display any result.
Creating and Sending a
Multimedia Message
You can use multimedia messages to make everyday
communicationsvery special. Youcanrecorda message and send
itasanaudiofile,sing'HappyBirthday'andsendittofriend,orsend
a slideshow ofphotographs of a special event. The possibilities are
endless.

Connecting Internet
Get online using your phone’s WLAN to save your money.
Turning On WLAN
1. Touch > Settings .
2. Touch Wireless& networks ,andthenselectthe WLAN
checkboxtoturnon WLAN.
Opening the Browser
Touch > Browser to open the home page.
When known or open WLAN networks and mobile data
networks are available at the same time, your phone will
preferably select a WLAN network for Internet access.
Opening a Webpage
1. Inabrowserwindow,touchtheURLfieldatthetopof the
screen.
2. Usethekeyboardtoenterawebpageaddress.Youcan touch
toenterthewebpage addressbyvoice.
3. Asyouenter theaddress,matchingwebpageaddresseswill
appearon thescreen.If youseetheaddressyouwant,touchit
andgodirectlytothatwebpageorcompleteenteringyour
desiredwebpage.
Opening Your Camera
You can take and share photos using the camera. Your camera
supports multiplecapture modes and photoeffects. After taking a

picture, access the Gallery to view it. For information on how to
share photos and videos, see the User Guide.

1. Connectyourmobilephoneto yourPCwiththe USBcable
provided.YourPCwilldetectthe microSDcardasaremovable
storagedevice.

3. Touch TurnonUSB storage inthedialog box thatopensto
confirmthatyouwanttotransferfiles.
You can now transferfiles from your PC toyour mobile phone’s
microSDcard.
Playing Music
You can listen to music that you have stored on your microSD card
using the music player . The music playerwillautomatically search
for any music on the microSD card sort it into albums and playlists.

Synchronizing Information

How Can I Use a microSD Card to Import Contacts to My
Phone from a Different Mobile Phone?
Your mobile phoneonly supports contact filesin the .vcf format.
1. Save the contacts you want to import to your mobile
phone to a microSD card as a .vcf file.
2. Insert the microSD card into yourmobile phone and find
the .vcf file using FileManager .
3. Touch the .vcf file. The phone displays a message
asking whether you want to importthe contacts.
4. Touch OK to import the contacts.
