Purpose
When the UPS is installed against a wall, install the top air-flow cabinet to ensure heat
dissipation. This document describes how to install the top air-flow cabinet.

1 Safety Precautions
Carefully read this document before installing the top air-flow cabinet. Only qualified
and trained personnel are allowed to install, operate, and maintain the top air-flow
cabinet.
Before installing the top air-flow cabinet, get tools insulated and remove conductive
objects such as watches and rings.

Dual-cabinet UPS: The UPS has one power cabinet and one bypass cabinet. The
following figure shows the installation position for the top air-flow cabinet.

3 Product Installation
3.1 Unpacking and Checking
After the top air-flow cabinet is delivered onsite, unpack the case and check as follows:
Visually inspect the appearance of the top air-flow cabinet for shipping damage. If any
damage is found, notify the carrier immediately.
Check that the fittings comply with the packing list. If some fittings are missing or do
not comply with the packing list, record the information and contact your local Huawei
office immediately.
3.2 Installation Tools
Table 3-1 lists the installation tools.

Before installation, ensure that the UPS has completely powered off and that the UPS input
and output power cables and battery cables are disconnected. During installation, wear
insulation gloves.
3.3.1 Securing the Top Air-flow Cabinet Used for a
Single-Cabinet UPS
Prerequisites
Before installing the top air-flow cabinet, ensure that the UPS anchor bolts have been
adjusted.
If the UPS is to be installed against a wall, combine the top air-flow cabinet with the UPS
and then move them to the installation position. If the antiseismic kit is configured, secure
it to the UPS first.
Procedure
Step 1 Remove the rear cover from the UPS cabinet.

Step 4 Move the top air-flow cabinet to the rear of the UPS cabinet.
Step 5 Adjust the four anchor bolts of the top air-flow cabinet to make it as high as the UPS cabinet.
Step 6 Combine the top air-flow cabinet with the UPS cabinet.

Figure 3-5 shows the connection method for the 200K-SM and 300K-SM/SMT. Remove
the connection plates from the top air-flow cabinet shown in Figure 3-4 and use
connection plates in the fitting bag to connect the cabinets.

Top air-flow cabinet with a PC board
When combining the top air-flow cabinet with the 200K-FM, remove the highest
connection plates from the top air-flow cabinet if the top air-flow cabinet has a PC board.
Figure 3-6 shows the installation positions for the connection plates.

Figure 3-7 shows the connection method for the 200K-SM and 300K-SM/SMT. Remove
the connection plates from the top air-flow cabinet shown in Figure 3-4 and use
connection plates in the fitting bag to connect the cabinets.
