Precautions
Human Safety
1. To prevent electric shocks, get the tool insulated and wear insulation gloves when connecting cables.
2. In case of fire, use a dry power fire extinguisher to put out the fire. Using a fluid fire extinguisher may cause
electric shocks.
Device Safety Requirements
Do not move the heavy object by holding its mounting brackets, front panel, or terminal cover. When you move
heavy objects, see the transportation safety requirements.

1 Visually inspect the PDU appearance for shipping damage. If any shipping damage is founded, report it to the carrier
immediately.
2 Check the PDU bar code and ensure that it complies with the order. Check against the delivery list that the types of

1. Mechanical Installation
a Install guide rails.
Install mounting brackets, and place the PDU on the guide rails. Secure the UPS to the rack using M6x12TM screws
through the holes in the mounting brackets.

2. Cable Installation
Remove the front panel of the PDU and open the circuit breakers.

Connecting cables to the PDU for UPS2000-G-3 kVA/6 kVA system (dual-live-wire input dual-live-wire output).

1. Configure colors for the cables prepared onsite in accordance with the local regulations.
2. Connect cables in this sequence: AC output power cables, AC input power cables, and battery cables.

1. Before connecting cables, set off the mains circuit breaker, output circuit breaker, bypass circuit
breaker, maintenance bypass switch, and battery circuit breaker.
2. The 2-pole circuit breakers of K1 and Q1 used for cable connection are provided by the user.
3. For the cable connection of single-phase, see the dual–live wire connection method.
4. If customers purchase input and output power cables by themselves, use the cables that comply
with standards proposed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) or International Electrotechnical
Commission (IEC).

1. Do not set the UPS to ECO mode when the system output connects to an isolated transformer.
2. When you install a transformer on the output side, you are advised to connect the load to the pL terminal and disable Power
segment.
3. In the case of 110 V parallel output, short-circuit L1 and L2 and short-circuit N1 and N2. Ensure that the L1 and L2 cables are
of an equal length, and N1 and N2 cables are of an equal length.

3. Power-On Procedure

Before you start the inverter, check Power segment is Disable and set Output transformer to Enable.

Appendix
The procedure is as follows:
Maintenance bypass usage

Open the maintenance bypass circuit breaker cover on the PDU front panel.
The UPS generates the "Maint. Breaker close" alarm (the Alarm indicator is on and the buzzer buzzes) and transfers to
bypass mode.
Close the maintenance bypass circuit breaker on the PDU front panel.
Open the UPS 2 bypass input circuit breaker and UPS 2 output circuit breaker on the PDU front panel.
Open the battery switch (if the battery pack does not have a switch, disconnect the battery pack hot-swap terminal).
Disconnect the hot-swap terminals between the PDU and the UPS.
Use a multimeter to check that the UPS input and output voltages are 0. You can maintain the UPS.
