The machine safety labels shown in this
section are placed in important areas on
your machine to draw attention to potential
safety hazards.
On your machine safety labels, the words DANGER,
WARNING, and CAUTION are used with this safety-alert
symbol. DANGER identifies the most serious hazards.
The operator’s manual also explains any potential safety
hazards whenever necessary in special safety messages
that are identified with the word, WARNING, and the
safety-alert symbol.
REPLACE SAFETY SIGNS
Replace missing or damaged safety signs. Use this
operator's manual for correct safety sign placement.
There can be additional safety information contained on
parts and components sourced from suppliers that is not
reproduced in the operator's manual.

WEAR APPROPRIATE CLOTHING
• Always wear eye protection when operating the machine.
• Wear close fitting clothing and safety equipment appropriate for the job.
• While operating this machine, always wear substantial footwear and long trousers. Do not operate the equipment
when barefoot or wearing open sandals.
• Wear a suitable protective device such as earplugs. Loud noise can cause impairment or loss of hearing.
• Make any necessary adjustments before operating this product. Never attempt to make any adjustments while
the engine is running.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
STORAGE
Store in a clean dry place. Allow your sun canopy to dry completely before removing and storing.
BOLTS
Check all bolts before each use to see that they are tight. If one or more bolts come loose,
failure of the sun canopy may occur.
CLEANING AND CARE
Use a warm wet rag to wash the fabric areas of the sun canopy. Don’t use soap or detergent as it may
remove protective coatings added by the factory.
WARNING
Never run your riding mower in an enclosed space or garage. Accumulated carbon monoxide can cause nausea,
fainting or death.
CAUTION
This sun canopy does not provide protection to the driver in case of a rollover.
CAUTION
Operating a riding mower with this sun canopy will restrict your field of vision.
CAUTION
After installation, check to make sure the sun canopy does not interfere with any function and the safe
operation of the riding mower.
CAUTION
Do not transport your machine with the sun canopy installed. Transporting the sun canopy installed may damage
your machine. Sun canopy could come off during transport and cause injury.

ASSEMBLE THE CANOPY FRAME (FIG. 1-5)
Note: Assemble frame on a clean flat surface next to your riding mower for easy mounting.
STEP 1
Completed canopy frame.
Attach the Front Side Bar (B) to the Rear
Side Bar (C). Repeat for the second
Front Side Bar (B) and Rear Side Bar (C).
Make sure the spring button on the
Rear Side Bar [C] clicks into the hole on
the Front Side Bar (B).

Attach the End Bar (A) to the completed
side bars from step 1, (B+C).

Attach the End Bar (A) to the second
completed side bar from step 1, (B+C).
Important, ensure that the Front
Side Bars (B) connect to the same
End Bar (A).

Attach the remaining End Bar (A)
to the frame assembly.

PARTS NEEDED TOOLS NEEDED
Lay the Canopy Skin (M) on a flat
surface with the Rip and Grip Straps
facing up.
Starting at the front of the skin, pull the fabric taught and wrap around and over
the Frame End Bar. Firmly press the male and female Rip and Grip Strips together.
Repeat on back End Bar and then both sides.

ATTACH THE CANOPY SKIN (FIG. 1-4)

Lay the completed Canopy Frame on
top of the Canopy Skin. The Front Side
Bar (B) in the Canopy Frame needs
to be positioned towards the front of
the skin, identified by the Trailering
Warning Label.

ATTACH THE SLOTTED TOOL FREE PLATES (FIG. 1-4)
STEP 3
Place the Sloted Tool Free Plate (D) on
the outside of the Roll Over Protection
System Bar.
Attach the Sloted Plate to the Roll Over
Protection System Bar with two Square
U-Bolts (G), four Nylock Nuts (F) and
four Flat Washers (H). Hand tighten
only. Repeat on opposite side.

Place the Canopy Skin, attached to the Canopy Frame, over the
Roll Over Protection Bar.

Align the holes on the Canopy Frame
side bars with the curved slots on the
Sloted Plate. Slide a Carriage Bolt (K)
through the curved slot, then insert a
Lock Washer (L). Slide the Carriage Bolt
through the holes of the Canopy Frame.

Hand tighten the 5Arm Knob (J) onto
the Carriage Bolt. Repeat for the
second 5Arm Knob. Repeat process to
install the canopy on the other side of
the Roll Over Protection Bar.

Secure the Canopy Skin to the
Roll Over Protection Bar with the
built in Rip and Grip straps.
