Staring at the screen for prolonged periods

• Donot disassemble, assemble, or modify
theMultimediasystem.Suchactscould
result in accidents, fire, or electric shock.

• Ifyouusephonerelatedfunctionswhile
driving, you will find it difficult to concentrate
onoperatingthevehicleandthecurrent

• BluetoothPairingisnotsupportedwhile
drivingassuchactscouldleadtoserious
acidents.
• Current position of the vehicle may differ
from the actual location. It depends on vari-
ous reasons such as inaccurate satellite
signals, vehicle state and so on.
• Satellite signals must be acquired to be
operated.Iftheunitisblockedbybuildings,
trees or located indoors, satellite signals
cannot be acquired. In this case, please
movethevehicletotheplacewherefreeof
surrounding objects and wait until the navi-
gation acquire the satellite signals.

Safety Cautions
Pay attention to traffic conditions while driving.
• Operating the device while driving could
leadtoaccidentsduetoalackofattention
to external surroundings. First park the vehi-
cle before operating the device. In addition,
the touch screen may not work for some
functions when the vehicle is in motion. The
touch screen feature will be supported once
the vehicle has stopped.
• Adjustthevolumetolevelsthatallowthe
drivertohearsoundsfromoutsideofthe
vehicle.Drivinginastatewhereexternal
soundscannotbeheardmayleadtoacci-
dents.
• Ifyouwanttochangethepositionofdevice
installation, please inquire with your place
ofpurchase orservice maintenance center.
Technical expertise is required to install or
disassemble the device.
• Turn on the car ignition before using this
device.DonotoperatetheMultimediasys-
temforlongperiodsoftimewiththeignition
turnedoffassuchoperationsmayleadto
battery discharge.
• Donotsubjectthedevicetosevereshock
orimpact.Directpressureontothefront
sideofthemonitormaycausedamageto
the LCD or touchscreen.
• Whencleaningthedevice,makesure
toturnoffthedeviceanduseadryand
smooth cloth. Never use tough materials,
chemical cloths, or solvents(alcohol, ben-
zene, thinners, etc.) as such materials may
damage the device panel or cause color/
quality deterioration. When experiencing
product concerns, inquire with your place of
purchase or service maintenance center.
• Prevent caustic solutions such as perfume
and cosmetic oil from contacting thedash-
board because they may cause damage or
discoloration.
• Use of the product within excessively high
orlowtemperaturescouldleadtoproduct
malfunctions.
• Cannotoperatethesystemwhileitisboot-
ingup.Itmaytakesometimeforalloffea-
tures of the system.
• The screens shown inthis manual may differ
withtheactualscreensoftheproduct.
• The design and specification of this product
may change without prior notification for

You can access the radio either by pressing
the FM/AM hard key.

BLUETOOTH
• Bluetooth Wireless Technology refers to a
short-distancewirelessnetworking technol-
ogy which uses a 2.45GHz frequency to
connect various devices within a certain
distance.
• Bluetooth Handsfree refers to a device
which allows the user to conveniently make
phonecallswithBluetoothmobilephones
through the Multimediasystem.
• The Bluetooth Handsfree feature may notbe
supported in some mobilephones.
• Bluetooth Handsfree is a feature that
enables drivers to practice safe driving.
ConnectingtheheadunitwithaBluetooth
phone allows the user to conveniently make
calls, receive calls.
• Excessiveuseoroperationswhiledriving
may lead to negligent driving practices and
bethecauseofaccidents.Donotoperate
thedeviceexcessively whiledriving.
• Viewingthescreenforprolongedperiods
oftimeisdangerousandmayleadtoacci-
dents.Whendriving,viewthescreenonly
for short periods of time.
• Before connecting the head unit with the
mobilephone,checktoseethatthemobile
phonesupportsBluetoothfeatures
• Even if the phone supports Bluetooth
Wireless Technology,the phone will not be
found during device searches if thephone
has been set to hidden state or the
Bluetoothpoweristurnedoff.Disablethe
hiddenstateorturnontheBluetoothpower
prior searching/connecting with the head
unit.
• Park the vehicle when connecting the head
unit with the mobile phone.

• Bluetooth connection may become intermit-
tently disconnected in some mobile phones.
Follow thesesteps to tryagain.
➊ TurntheBluetoothfunctionwithin
the mobile phone OFF/ON and try
again.
➋ Turn the mobile phone power OFF/ON and
try again.
➌ Completely remove the mobile phone bat-
tery, reboot, and then again.
➍ Reboot the Multimedia System and
try again.
➎ Delete all paired devices from both of
PhoneandHeadUnitsidesandthentry
again.
• The Handsfree callvolume andquality may
differdepending onthemobilephone.

Before you can use the Bluetooth feature, you
mustfirstpair/connectyourmobilephoneto
your car.
※ OnlyoneBluetoothdevicecanbecon-
nected at a time.
※ During a Bluetooth device connection,
another device cannot be paired.
※ BluetoothPairingisnotsupportedwhile
driving. Please pair only when in Parked
state.
Makesacallafteryoudialanumberand
select Call.

Select PHONE key in the head unit.
When no phones have been paired, from
the Bluetooth device, search for the “Device
name” and pair the device. The default pass-
key is 0000.
The device name above is anexample. Check
the actual information on the product.

Using the Menu During a Phone Call
When making a call, you can use the following
menu items.

Switches a voice call from the car Hands-free
to the mobile phone.

Ends acall.

MovestoascreenforenteringARSnumbers.
※ Ifthe caller's number islisted in Contacts,
thecaller's namewill bedisplayed.
Otherwise,onlythenumberwillbedis-
played.Insomemobilephones,thephone
number may not be displayed.
※ InsomeBluetooth devices, the Transferfea-
ture may not be supported.
※ During a phone call on a Bluetooth
Handsfree,youcannotaccessothermodes.
※ Depending on handset types, the in call vol-
umetheotherparty hears maydiffer.

Lists the all call history.

Lists the calls that you made.

Lists the calls that you have received.
➍ Missed
Lists the calls you missed.
➎ Download
Downloads the call history information from
your mobile phone.
※ In some mobile phones, call records may not
be added to your Call History.
※ Upto30callscanbeaddedineachDialed
Calls/ReceivedCalls/MissedCallslist.
※ If the call history download is turned off with
the Bluetooth device, the call history down-
load will fail.
※ Somedevicesrequireadeviceauthentica-
tionfordownloadingyourcallhistory.If
download fails,checkiftheBluetooth set-
tingsordisplaystatusarenormal.
※ Some devices do not support call history
downloading. Check if your Bluetooth
device supports downloading.

About USB
ConnecttheUSBdeviceafterturningonthe
engine. The USB device may become dam-
agedifitisalreadyconnectedwhentheigni-
tion is turned on.
• Files that are not standard format music/
video/image files will not beplayed.
• Heedcautiontostaticelectricitywhencon-
necting/disconnectingexternalUSBdevices.
• EncodedMP3Playerswillnotberec-
ognized when connected asan external
device.
• When connecting an external USB device,
the device may not properly recognize the
USB is in some states.
• Only products formatted withbyte/sectors
under64Kbytewillberecognized.
• This device recognizes USB devices format-
ted in FAT 12/16/32 file formats. This device
does notrecognize files in NTFS file format.
• Some USB devices may not be supported
due to compatibilityissues.
• TakecautionsothattheUSBconnector
doesnotcomeincontactwithbodyparts
or objects.
• Repeated connecting/disconnecting ofUSB
deviceswithinshortperiodsoftimemay
result in productmalfunction.
• Make sure to connect/disconnect external
USBdeviceswiththeaudiopowerturned
off.
• Theamountoftimerequiredtorecognize
the external USB device may differ depend-
ingonthetype,size,orfileformatsstored
on the USB.
• The use of USB devices for purposes other
than playing music, video and image files is
prohibited.
• DonotusetheUSBI/Ftochargebatter-
iesor USB accessories that generate heat.
Suchactsmayleadtoworsenedperfor-
manceordamage to thedevice.
• The device may not recognize the USB
deviceifseparatelypurchasedUSBhubs
and extension cables are being used.
Connect the USB directly with the multime-
dia terminal of thevehicle.
• When using mass storage USB devices with
separatelogicaldrives,onlyfilessavedto
the root drive can beplayed.
• Whenapplicationprograms areinstalled to
specificUSBs,filesmaynotproperlyplay.
MEDIA
• The device may not operate normally ifMP3
Players, cellular phones, digital cameras, or
otherelectronicdevices(USBdevicesnot
recognized as portable disk drives) are con-
nected with the device.
• ChargingthroughtheUSBmaynotworkfor
some mobile devices.
• The device may not support normal
operation when using a USB memory type
besidesMetalCoverTypeUSBMemory.
• Thedevicemaynotsupportnormalopera-
tion when using formats such as HDD Type,
CF Memory.
• Upon playing iPods, please use a dedicated
iPod car cable.
• Normal operations cannot be guaranteed
when other cables are being used.
• Thedevicewillnotsupportfileslockedby
DRM.(Digital Rights Management)
• USB memory sticks used by connecting an
Adaptor(SDTypeorCFType)maynotbe
properly recognized.
• Only use Plug type connector products, as
shown in the figurebelow.

• USB memory files cannot exceed 4GB per
file.
• USB memories will stably recognize up to
32GB.
• Saving too many files may influence system
performance and result in reduced recogni-
tion speeds.
• Ifyouhaveanyproblemduringvideoplay-
back,youneedtoconvertthefiletoasup-
ported file format using the video conversion
software.
