• Installed and configured the rack according
to the documentation that came with the rack.

Install the blade server into the BladeCenter unit.

Install additional applications according to instructions
provided with the application.
Install the operating system.

Configure the BladeCenter components for
Serial Over LAN (SOL) support.
See Chapter 5 for more information.
Establish an SOL session with the blade server.
See Chapter 6 for more information.

ready to use. Be sure to

server with IBM support.
