1. The Brocade 20-port 4Gb SAN Switch Module for IBM Eserver
BladeCenter and the Brocade 10-port 4Gb SAN Switch Module for IBM
Eserver BladeCenter are referred to throughout this document as the
Brocade switch module or the switch module.
2. All IBM Eserver BladeCenter units are referred to throughout this
document as the BladeCenter unit.
3. The illustrations in this document might differ slightly from your hardware.
4. The sample screens that appear in this document might differ slightly from
the screens that are displayed by your system. Screen content varies
according to the type of BladeCenter unit that you are using and the
firmware versions and options that are installed.
5. When you are using the Brocade switch module with aBladeCenter Tunit,
the internal ports operate at 2Gb, and the external ports operate at up to 4
Gb.
The switch module is aFibre Channel component that consists of 20 ports:
v14 internal ports to connect to the BladeCenter unit blade server bays
v6external Fibre Channel user ports to connect to external Fibre Channel
devices
You can manage and configure the switch module through multiple interfaces.
vATelnet connection to the embedded command-line interface (CLI)
