Connect to the module
1. Make sure your PC has workable network settings.
2. Check Init/Normal DIP switch if it is on Normal position
3. Run the RMV-762D-MTCP Utility, and check the default settings. The default
operation mode is the “Modbus TCP Server/Modbus RTU Master” mode.
Users can make the Modbus TCP/IP connection with their Modbus TCP/IP
Client. The Modbus TCP/IP command is exchanged by the module and
transmitted to the Modbus RTU Slave.

4. Make the Modbus RTU connection with the serial port of the RMV-762D-
MTCP, and make the Wi-Fi connection with the PC’s Wi-Fi interface.

6. The module shows the RSSI value when the module completes the initial
process. If the signal strength is -40dBm, the 7-segment LED is shown as
the following figures.

7. Users can find the SSID of the RMV-762D-MTCP in the Windows Wi-Fi SSID
list. When the Wi-Fi connection is established, the Modbus command can
be exchanged by the module and transmitted to the Modbus RTU slave.

Application
The RMV-762D-MTCP can be changed to another Modbus role with the utility.
When one side is set in the slave mode, the other side is set in the master
mode. To make the Modbus command exchange via the Wi-Fi interface.
