1. Introduction
This high-end smart charger is intended to charge NiCd, NiMH, and Li-Ion batteries.
Each charging slot includes an independent LCD display that shows the corresponding
battery’s voltage. One button controls the charging current for all slots. Charging
currents from 300, 500, 700, and 100mA may be selected.
The ICH-SC4 can charge batteries of different type, size, and of different capacities
simultaneously. Included is a minus delta voltage (-DV) function, which monitors the
voltage over the charging cycle, and provides a more precise (full charge) detection than
temperature based methods. This helps charge and keeps the battery at its optimum
capacity. The ICH-SC4 also includes overheat detection to protect rechargeable batteries,
and the charger itself, from overheating. The charger should only be powered by the
included power supply. Only operate and store the charger in a dry, indoor environment.
This product fulfills European and international requirements related to electromagnetic
compatibility (EMC). CE conformity has been verified, and the relevant statements are
available upon request. Unauthorized conversion and/or modification of this device is
prohibited because of safety and CE approvals. Any usage other than described above
is not permitted, can damage the product, and can lead to safety risks such as short-
circuit, fire, electric shock, etc.
Please read the operating instructions thoroughly and keep them for future reference.

ventilating slots of the charger. Do not use this charger if the temperature is over
95° Fahrenheit (35° Celsius).
2. DO NOT EXPOSE this product to magnetic fields, sources of extreme
temperatures, heat, or fire.
3. There may be an explosion hazard if this battery charger is used improperly. In
order to reduce the risk of fire or burns, do not disassemble, crush, puncture,
short external connections, expose to heat or throw the charger in fire.
4. Protect the power cord to avoid tripping, particularly at plugs, sockets and other
locations.
5. When not using this product for an extended period, please remove all batteries,
wrap it in dust-proof packaging and place in a dry environment.
6. DO NOT EXPOSE the batteries or charger to excessive heat sources, such as
sunlight, heaters, microwaves, ovens, stoves, radiators, fire, or other instruments
that produce heat (including amplifiers), or similar factors.
7. DO NOT EXPOSE this charger to rain, snow, or dripping or splashing liquids.
8. In order to avoid short-circuiting the battery and getting burns and other physical
injuries due to the battery overheating, do not place conductive objects at the
battery’s electrical terminals, or in contact with the battery ends.
9. This product is only intended to charge NI-MH/Li-ion batteries. If used to charge
other batteries, it may cause issues including: battery crack or leakage, or safety
incidents.
10. The product should not be connected immediately after it has been brought
from an area of cold temperature to an area of warm temperature. Condensed
water may destroy this product. Wait until the product adapts to the new ambient
temperature before use.

B. Battery Safety
1. ALWAYS inspect batteries before charging.
2. NEVER charge any batteries that show any signs of damage, disfigurement,
discoloration, deformation, abnormal heat, swelling, or other phenomena.
3. NEVER charge batteries that have any breach of their protective cover.
4. If battery discoloration, deformation, abnormal heat, or other phenomena occurs,
please stop using and replace the battery.
5. If the batteries leak, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the skin or eyes.
If the liquid does come in contact with the skin or eyes, wash affected area with
water immediately and seek medical treatment.
6. The manufacturer’s instructions for the respective batteries must be observed
before they are charged.
7. Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the batteries.
8. Non-rechargeable batteries, rechargeable alkaline batteries (RAM), lead
acid batteries and lithium batteries must not be charged with this product.
There is a danger of explosion!
9. If it is not going to be used for a long period of time, batteries should be removed
from the charger to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries
might cause acid burns when in contact with skin. Use suitable protective gloves to
handle corrupted batteries.
10. Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave batteries
lying around, as there is a risk that children or pets may swallow them.
Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire.
NEVER recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion.
C. Miscellaneous
1. There are no serviceable parts. Do not take apart or disassemble the charger.
2. WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - This product may contain small equipment
and parts. Keep the device and its accessories out of reach of children as they
may damage the device or swallow small parts.

4. Power Supply

DC adapter/power supply. Only use the included power adapter for this charger. On initial
power up of the charger, all LCD segments will light up momentarily. The “null” icon will
be shown until any batteries are inserted.
5. Operation
Once a rechargeable battery is inserted, a voltage is shown and a charging current will
be displayed (For example, “1.37V” and “500mA”). If the MODE button is not pressed,
the charging process will start with a 500mA charging current. When you need to
change the charging current, press the MODE button for 3 seconds, then the current will
be changed. Every time you want to change the charging current, press and hold the
MODE button for 3 seconds.
6. Overheat Protection
When overheating occurs (temperature over 140°F / 60°C ), the charging process will
be stopped immediately and the charging current display will show “NULL”. The charging
process will terminate.
8. Maintenance
The device is maintenance-free, but should be cleaned occasionally. When cleaning, the
device must be removed from any power source. Use only a dry and soft cloth to clean
