The following instruction will help in the smooth operation of the pump :
1. Fill the rank with the clean water only. If dust or other foreign particles through the water enter
into the valves, which will cause pressure dropping.
2. Before starting operation, the pressure release valve should be kept open and water should
be allowed to drain out for a few strokes, then close the valve and build the required
pressure. This is to remove air, or else constant pressure cannot be developed.
3. Maximum length of the stroke can used while beginning and should be progressively
reduced when the pressure developed.
4. If the check valve found disturbed and pump fail to develop pressure, the valve seat should
be cleaned or lapped if necessary.
5. Suitable lubrication oil should be used to lubricate the plunger and ensure smooth
operation.
6. While keeping the pump idle, apply, lubricant oil and insert the piston fully in the cylinder so
that water contents will not remain inside the pump and shall be
free of being rusty.
