Switching power supply/Battery charger
providing 1.1A @ 14V
The IPS12015 switching adapter/battery charger has been designed to the high standards of
quality, reliability and performance adopted by INIM Electronics. The Declaration of Conformity can
be viewed at URL www.inim.biz.
The IPS12015 switching adapter provides a stabilized output voltage of 14V and a maximum
current of 1.1A.
The output is overload and short-circuit protected.

Applications
The IPS12015 switching adapter is a dual-purpose device:
•Power supply adapter: for all types of electrical devices and appliances that require a
stabilized output voltage of 14V and a maximum current of 1.1A (e.g. the dialler SmartLink
Advanced manufactured by Inim Electronics).
•Battery charger: for 12V batteries.
ATTENTION! If it is used to keep batteries permanently on charge, it will be necessary to
connect a 1A Schottky diode in series [I], in order to avoid the risk of damaging
the batteries.
If it is used for cyclical recharges, the device must not remain connected with the
batteries more than 12 hours..
Installation
Installation and maintenance of this device must be carried out by qualified persons only.
1. Connect the power supply body [A] to the mains cable [B] through the appropriate connector [C].
2. Plug the device into the electrical mains source.
3. The output voltage is provided by the stripped and tinned wires [D].
ATTENTION! Be sure to observe correct output polarity:
Cable with strips - negative output [E]
Cable without strips - positive output [F]
Maintenance
The following maintenance operations must be performed regularly:
• Check that all wiring and connections are intact.
• Check that the appliance is operating properly.
• Check the battery efficiency.
ATTENTION! For an installation that meets standard requirements, it is necessary to fit a suitable
sectioning device (bipolar) and protection on the electrical-wiring upstream of the
switching power-supply unit in accordance with the laws in force (DM37/08).

Informative notice regarding the disposal of electrical and
electronic equipment (applicable in countries with
differentiated waste collection systems)
The crossed-out bin symbol on the equipment or on its packaging indicates
that the product must be disposed of correctly at the end of its working life and
should never be disposed of together with general household waste. The user,

electronic retail outlets with sales areas of at least 400m2, free of charge and without any
obligation to buy. Appropriate differentiated waste collection for the subsequent recycling of
the discarded equipment, its treatment and its environmentally compatible disposal helps to
avoid possible negative effects on the environment and on health and favours the re-use
and/or recycling of the materials it is made of.
