1. Preparation
• Excavation of pit for concrete base

preparation of blinding layer

5. Installation of charging station
• Mounting of charging station on ram
protection
• Fixing of charging station with ram protection
using 4 screws
6. Electrical connection of charging station to
the supply line
• Attachment of supply lines to the charging
station connection terminals
Fitting of lock cylinder
Lock cylinders are provided for locking the
charging station. Two panels on the right-hand
side of the charging station should be removed
for fitting. Each of the panels is secured with
two screws (Torx T10).
Ensure during fitting that both cylinders can
lock independently of each other.
The screw (Figure 9) should fix the lock cylinder
in position for this purpose.
The panels should be fitted again following
insertion of the lock cylinder and locking of the
charging station.

Electrical and functional
testing
Electrical test
Electrical tests/measurements must be undertaken in accordance
with national standards (including VDE guidelines).
Measurements to be undertaken are taught during innogy training.
The following are examples of measurements:
• Checking of existing TN network/TT network system
• Measurement of tripping times of FI type B (e.g. Fluke 1654B
multifunction tester)
• Voltage measurements (Ph-Ph, Ph-N, Ph-PE)
• Grounding measurements pursuant to national norms and stand-
ards (e.g. DIN EN 61557 for Germany) and if required
• Preparation and handover of installation protocol to the customer
and innogy SE, for example by email to:
[e-mail]
If national standards require an insulation test, testing must be
undertaken upstream of the RCD. Do not conduct the insulation
test on the 1, 3, 5, N terminal side.
Functional testing
• Activate the charging station using the key switch
• The LED illuminates white
• Plug in the innogy eTester
• Activate status C
• The eTester indicates the voltage
• The contactor is activated and the LED illuminates blue

The innogy eTester is available separately. The eTester is
needed to conduct a functional test conforming to ISO 61851.
