5. Naming Convention
Intel’s 6Gb/s SAS RAID cards have product names per the convention RS2XX##^ where:
R = RAID
S = SAS T = SATA
2 = specification generation
XX = two letters representing the Intel code name (For example, PI = Puget Island)
## = internal port count
^ = external port count
