INSPIRE FACE MASK & BREATHING
VALVE
USER MANUAL
The INSPIRE mask is a Class 3 full face mask approved for use with Interspiro
breathing apparatus. The equipment is type tested and EC type examined (Directive
89/686/EEC) by DEKRA EXAM, Dinnendahlstrasse 9, D-44809 Bochum. Produced
under supervision, Article 11B, by SGS United Kingdom Ltd., Weston-super-Mare,
BS22 6WA, UK. (Notied Body 0120).
1 SAFETY NOTICE
The product must only be used with an approved Interspiro breathing apparatus:
INCURVE/SpiroGuide/SpiroGuide II, QS/QS II or 90U system.
Only use breathing air according to EN 12021.
If the face mask and/or the self contained breathing apparatus is to be used in
conjunction with other personal protective equipment it is important to ensure that the
additional personal protective equipment is compatible with the face mask and does
not impair the full protection of the respiratory protective device.
Examples of dangers which may require the use of additional personal protective equipment:
-Liquids, steam or gases which can damage the skin.
-Pollutants absorptive by skin
-Thermal radiation
-Mechanical effects
-Explosive environments
-Oxygen-enriched breathing air.
The product must only be used by personnel in good health and trained in the use of
respiratory protective equipment. Individuals with beards or large sideburns may not
obtain an adequate seal. The face mask must be maintained, serviced and tested as
described in this user manual, Interspiro service manuals and Interspiro test instructions.

2 MARKINGS [FIG. 1]

3 POSITIVE PRESSURE MODE
INSPIRE-H (WITH HATCH)
Positive pressure is activated by closing the ambient air hatch by pushing the
exhalation valve cover against the face mask [Fig. 2].
To shut off positive pressure and breathe ambient air, simultaneously press down the
indicator arm and push the exhalation valve cover away from the face mask [Fig.
3] or disconnect the breathing valve from the face mask [Fig. 4 and Fig. 5]. It is
recommended to use the ambient air hatch which is easy and minimizes the risk of
fog on the visor.
The purge button [Fig. 6] can be pressed to increase the air ow and to activate the
positive pressure. To remove fog from the visor - ush it with air by pressing the purge
button for a couple of seconds.
INSPIRE-A (WITHOUT HATCH)
Positive pressure is automatically activated when connecting the breathing valve to the
face mask [Fig. 4].
To shut off positive pressure and breathe ambient air, disconnect the breathing valve
from the face mask [Fig. 4 and Fig. 5].
The purge button [Fig. 6] can be pressed to increase the air ow and to activate the
positive pressure. To remove fog from the visor - ush it with air by pressing the purge
button for a couple of seconds.
4 CONNECTING THE BREATHING VALVE
1. Check that the breathing hose is securely connected to the breathing valve and
to the quick coupling on the supply hose (if tted).
2. Close the hatch (only applicable on Inspire-H face masks).
3. Push the breathing valve into the mask until it snaps into the locked position [Fig. 4].

5 DONNING THE FACE MASK
1. With the positive pressure switched off, t the face mask onto the head by rst lift
the lower part of the head harness with both thumbs [Fig. 7], put the chin in rst
and then pull the head harness over the head. [Fig. 8]
2. Tighten the straps on the head harness [Fig. 9], starting with the two at the
bottom. Do not overtighten the head harness.
3. Activate the positive pressure.
4. Hold your breath and listen for leakage, adjust the face mask if necessary.
5. Check that a strong air ow is heard when two ngers are inserted between the
sealing edge and face. [Fig. 10]
6 PARKINGPLUG - OPTIONAL
The parkingplug protects from entering of dirt and moisture into the breathing valve.
Connect the breathing valve into the parkingplug when the breathing valve is not
mounted in the full face mask.
7 DOFFING THE FACE MASK
1. Switch off the positive pressure.
2. Open the buckles to release the head harness and loosen the straps.
3. Remove the face mask.
4. Close the cylinder valve and depressurize the unit by activating the positive pressure.
8 DISCONNECT THE BREATHING VALVE
1. Push the two red tabs together [Fig. 5] and pull the breathing valve straight out
from the face mask.
2. Disconnect the breathing valve from the breathing hose.
9 OPTIONAL BYPASS
The by-pass valve overrides the normal breathing valve function allowing air to free
ow into the mask. To open the bypass turn the red knob anti-clockwise, close by
turning clockwise until stop.
ATTENTION! WHEN THE BYPASS IS OPEN THE DURATION TIME OF THE BREATHING APPARATUS IS REDUCED.
WHEN THE BYPASS HAS BEEN ACTIVATED THE WEARER SHOULD ABORT OPERATION AND RETURN TO AN AREA
OF BREATHABLE AIR.

10 CLEAN AND DISINFECT
Clean, disinfect and dry parts as necessary after use.
Recommended cleaning and disinfecting agents:
Cleaning:
- BA Cleaner
- BA Manual Cleaner
- Curacid PSA Rinse
Disinfecting:
- Curacid PSA Rapid
- Curacid PSA Ultra
FACE MASK AND EXHALATION VALVE
1. Disconnect the breathing valve from the face mask.
2. Wash the face mask manually in warm cleaning uid (maximum 55° C).
3. Rinse the parts in clean water.
4. Disinfect the face mask and the exhalation valve assembly. Follow the instructions
supplied with the disinfectant.
5. Rinse the face mask and the exhalation valve assembly thoroughly with clean
water.
6. Shake the mask to remove excess water and dry the mask and the exhalation
valve assembly.
BREATHING VALVE
1. Mount parking plug, 33438-51, on the breathing valve.
2. With breathing hose attached to the breathing valve, pressurize the breathing
valve and wash it manually in warm cleaning uid (maximum 55° C) with a
brush or sponge.
3. Rinse the breathing valve in clean water (maximum 60° C).
4. Depressurize and disconnect the breathing valve from the pressure source.
5. Remove the parking plug 33438-51.
6. Dry breathing valve.
11 STOR AGE
Store in a cool, dry and dust-free environment. Protect against direct sunlight, UV
radiation and direct heat.
12 SERVICE AND TESTING SCHEDULE
Service and testing must as a minimum be carried out according to Interspiro’s
Service and Testing Schedule, or according to local requirements. Visit www.
interspiro.com for latest version.

HINGAMISVENTIIL
KASUTUSJUHEND
INSPIRE on 3. klassi kuuluv täisnäomask, mis on heaks kiidetud kasutamiseks
Interspiro hingamisaparaatidega. Toote testimise ja EÜ tüübihindamise (direktiiv
89/686/EMÜ) viis läbi DEKRA EXAM, Dinnendahlstrasse 9, D-44809 Bochum.
Tootnud järelevalve all (artikkel 11B) SGS United Kingdom Ltd., Weston-super-Mare,
BS22 6WA, Ühendkuningriik. (Teavitatud asutus 0120).
1 OHUTUSTEATIS
Toodet tohib kasutada üksnes koos heakskiidetud Interspiro hingamisaparaadiga:
INCURVE / SpiroGuide / SpiroGuide II, QS / QS II või 90U süsteem.
Kasutage ainult standardile EN 12021 vastavat hingamisõhku.
Kui näomaski ja/või autonoomset hingamisaparaati kasutatakse koos
muude isikukaitsevahenditega, siis on oluline veenduda, et täiendavad
isikukaitsevahendid oleksid näomaskiga ühilduvad ja ei kahjustaks ega nõrgendaks
hingamiskaitseseadme kaitsetaset.
Näited ohtudest, mille tõttu võib olla vajalik täiendavate isikukaitsevahendite kasutamine.
- Vedelikud, aurud või gaasid, mis võivad kahjustada nahka.
- Saasteained, mis võivad imenduda nahka.
- Soojuskiirgus.
- Mehaanilised mõjurid.
- Plahvatusohtlikud keskkonnad.
- Hapnikuga rikastatud hingamisõhk.
Toodet tohivad kasutada üksnes heas tervislikus seisundis olevad isikud, kes on
saanud hingamiskaitsevahendite kasutamise alase väljaõppe. Liiga suure habeme
või põskhabeme korral ei pruugi mask saavutada näoga piisavalt tihedat ühendust.
Näomaski tuleb hoida, hooldada ja testida vastavalt käesolevas kasutusjuhendis,
Interspiro hooldusjuhendis ja Interspiro testimisjuhendites toodud kirjeldustele.

3 ÜLERÕHUREŽIIM
INSPIRE-H (KLAPIGA)
Ülerõhu rakendamiseks tuleb sulgeda keskkonnaõhu klapp, surudes
väljahingamisventiili katte vastu näomaski [Joon. 2].
Ülerõhu väljalülitamiseks ja keskkonnaõhu hingamiseks tuleb korraga vajutada
alla indikaatorvars ja lükata väljahingamisventiili kate näomaskist eemale [Joon.
3] või lahutada hingamisventiil näomaski küljest [Joon. 4 ja Joon. 5]. Soovitatav
on kasutada keskkonnaõhu klappi, kuna see on lihtne ja minimeerib visiiri uduseks
tõmbumise ohtu.
Õhuvoolu suurendamiseks ja ülerõhu rakendamiseks saab vajutada tühjendusnuppu
[Joon. 6]. Visiirilt udu eemaldamiseks puhuge visiir õhuga läbi, vajutades paari
sekundi vältel tühjendusnuppu.
INSPIRE-A (ILMA KLAPITA)
Hingamisventiili ühendamisel näomaskiga rakendub ülerõhk automaatselt [Joon. 4].
Ülerõhu väljalülitamiseks ja keskkonnaõhu hingamiseks tuleb hingamisventiil
näomaski küljest lahutada [Joon. 4 ja Joon. 5].
Õhuvoolu suurendamiseks ja ülerõhu rakendamiseks saab vajutada tühjendusnuppu
[Joon. 6]. Visiirilt udu eemaldamiseks puhuge visiir õhuga läbi, vajutades paari
sekundi vältel tühjendusnuppu.
4 HINGAMISVENTIILI ÜHENDAMINE
1. Kontrollige, kas hingamisvoolik on korralikult ühendatud hingamisventiili ja
toitevooliku kiirliitmiku (kui paigaldatud) külge.
2. Sulgege klapp (ainult Inspire-H näomaski korral).
3. Suruge hingamisventiil maski sisse, kuni see klõpsab lukustatud asendisse [Joon. 4].

5 NÄOMASKI PÄHE PANEMINE
1. Asetage näomask, millel on ülerõhk välja lülitatud, pähe nii, et tõstate esmalt
pearakmete alumise osa mõlema pöidlaga üles [Joon. 7], panete kõigepealt
sisse lõua ja seejärel tõmbate pearakmed üle pea. [Joon. 8]
2. Pinguldage pearakmete rihmad [Joon. 9], alustades kahest alumisest. Ärge
pearakmeid üle pinguldage.
3. Rakendage ülerõhk.
4. Hoidke hinge kinni ja kuulake, kas kõlab lekkele viitavat sisinat; vajaduse korral
reguleerige näomaski asendit.
5. Kontrollige, kas kahe sõrme sisestamisel tihendiserva ja näo vahele [Joon. 10] on
kuulda tugeva õhuvoolu häält.
6 KAITSEKORK – LISAVARUSTUS
Kaitsekork takistab mustuse ja niiskuse pääsemist hingamisventiili sisse.
Ühendage kaitsekork hingamisventiili külge ajaks, mil hingamisventiil pole näomaski
külge paigaldatud.
7 NÄOMASKI PEAST ÄRA VÕTMINE
1. Lülitage ülerõhk välja.
2. Avage pearakmete vabastamiseks klambrid ja lõdvendage rihmad.
3. Võtke näomask ära.
4. Sulgege ballooni ventiil ja vabastage seade rõhu alt, rakendades ülerõhu.
8 LAHUTAGE HINGAMISVENTIIL
1. Suruge kaks punast sakki kokku [Joon. 5] ja tõmmake hingamisventiil sirgelt
maski seest välja.
2. Hingamisventiili lahutamine hingamisvooliku küljest.
9 VALIKULINE MÖÖDAVOOL
Möödavooluventiil alistab tavapärase hingamisventiili töö ja võimaldab õhul vabalt
maski voolata. Möödavooluventiili avamiseks keerake punast nuppu vastupäeva ja
sulgemiseks päripäeva lõppasendisse.
TÄHELEPANU! MÖÖDAVOOLUVENTIILI AVAMINE LÜHENDAB HINGAMISAPARAADI KASUTUSAEGA. PÄRAST
MÖÖDAVOOLUVENTIILI RAKENDAMIST PEAKS KANDJA TÖÖ KATKESTAMA JA PÖÖRDUMA TAGASI HINGATAVA
ÕHUGA KESKKONDA.

10 PUHASTAMINE JA DESINFITSEERIMINE
Pärast kasutamist puhastage, desintseerige ja kuivatage seadme osad vastavalt
vajadusele.
Soovitatavad puhastus- ja desintseerimisvahendid.
Puhastamine.
- BA Cleaner
- BA Manual Cleaner
- Curacid PSA Rinse
Desintseerimine.
- Curacid PSA Rapid
- Curacid PSA Ultra
NÄOMASK JA VÄLJAHINGAMISVENTIIL
1. Lahutage hingamisventiil näomaski küljest.
2. Peske näomaski käsitsi sooja puhastusvedelikuga (max 55 °C).
3. Loputage osad puhta veega.
4. Desintseerige näomask ja väljahingamisventiili komplekt. Järgige
desintseerimisvahendi kasutusjuhiseid.
5. Loputage näomask ja väljahingamisventiili komplekt hoolikalt rohke puhta veega.
6. Raputage maski, et eemaldada suurem osa veest, ning kuivatage mask ja
väljahingamisventiili komplekt.
HINGAMISVENTIIL
1. Paigaldage hingamisventiilile kaitsekork 33438-51.
2. Kui hingamisvoolik on hingamisventiiliga ühendatud, viige hingamisventiil rõhu
alla ja peske seda käsitsi sooja puhastusvedelikuga (max 55 °C), kasutades
harja või svammi.
3. Loputage hingamisventiili puhta veega (max 60 °C).
4. Vabastage hingamisventiil surve alt ja lahutage surveallika küljest.
5. Eemaldage kaitsekork 33438-51.
6. Kuivatage hingamisventiil.
11 HOIUSTAMINE
Hoidke jahedas, kuivas ja tolmuvabas kohas. Kaitske otsese päikesevalguse, UV-
kiirguse ja kuumuse eest.
12 HOOLDUS- JA TESTIMISGRAAFIK
Hooldustööd ja testid tuleb läbi viia minimaalselt vastavalt Interspiro hooldus- ja
testimisgraakule või kooskõlas kohalike eeskirjadega. Uusima versiooni leiate
