Thiscoverisallergy-testedandtreatedagainstdustmites.
Evacuationcover
Theevacuationiscomposedoftwo-waystretch,
vapour-permeable,water-resistant,polyurethanecoated
polyester.Thesecoversareequippedwithhandlesonall
foursides.Onthetwolongsidestherearestraps,whichin
caseofanemergencyevacuationcanbewrappedaround
theuser.
Thiscoverisallergy-testedandtreatedagainstdustmites.
Cottoncover
Thecottoncoveriscomposedofstandardcotton,washable

–Beforeusingtheproduct,alwaysconsulta
qualiedhealthcareprofessionalforclinical
judgement.
–Monitorthepatientfrequently.

–Makesurethattheprintedsideofthemattress
coveralwaysfacesupwards.
–Ensurethatthedistancebetweenthesurface
ofthemattressandthetopofthesiderailis
atleast220mm.

4.2PreparingtheMattressforUse

1.Removeallpackagingbeforeuse.
2.Placethemattressdirectlyonthemattresssupportof
thebedorplacethemattressoverlayontheexisting
mattress.
Compressrolledmattressesmustbelefttorecoverbefore
use.Followtheinstructionsonthepackaginginlay.
Mattressesthataredeliveredatpackedcanbeused
immediately.
4.3Usingthehandles

HandlesontheEvacuationcover
TheEvacuationcoverisequippedwithhandlesonallfour
sides.Onthetwolongsidesarestraps,whichcanbe
wrappedaroundthepatient.
Whenthestrapsarenotinuse,theycanbetuckedaway
underthehook-and-looppads.Thehandlescanbeusedfor
lifting/draggingthemattress.
1.Incaseofanemergencyevacuation,wrapthestrapson
thelongsidesaroundthepatient.
2.Makesurethatthearmsandlegsarewithinthestraps,
andthestrapsaretightsothatthemattresswillbend
uparoundthepatient.

mayincludeuidingress,stains,ripsordamage)afterthe
releaseofeachpatient,afterendingoftheperiodofuseor
onaminimummonthlybasis(dependingonwhichoccurs
rst)byasuitablyqualiedandcompetentperson.
Checkmattress
1.Unzipthecovercompletely.
2.Checkforanystainingonthewhiteundersideofthe
cover.
3.Checkforanystainingontheinteriorfoam.
4.Replaceanystaineditemsanddisposeofasperlocal
authorityprocedure.

1.Removeallcoversforlaundering.
2.Launderthecoverswiththerecommendedtemperature
at95°C(Cottoncover40°C)usingadiluteddetergent
solution(Instructionsonlabel).
IMPORTANT!
Washingathighertemperatureswillcause
shrinkage.
DryingCovers
1.Hangcoversfromalineorbaranddripdryinaclean
indoorenvironment.

Tumbledryonalowheatsetting.

–Tumbledrysettingmustnotexceed40°C.

Failureindisinfectionprocessmayresultinthe
accumulationofreagentthatcoulddamagethe
polyurethanecoating,reactwiththebedframe,
ornegatethebiocompatibilityresults.
–Ensurethatallcleaningagents,and
disinfectants,arethoroughlyrinsedoff.
–Drythoroughlybeforeuse.
1.Wipedownthecoverwithasuitabledetergent.
2.Rinsethecoverthoroughlywithcleanwaterusinga
singleusenonabrasivecloth.
3.Drythecoverthoroughly.
Heavysoilage
Wherethemattressisbadlysoiled,we
recommendcleaningwithadilutecleaning
solutionatmaximumtemperatureinthewashing
machine(seeproductlabel).
–Cleanupallspillagesofbodilyuidsi.e.blood,
urine,faeces,sputum,woundexudateandall
otherbodilysecretionsassoonaspossible
usingasuitabledetergent.
–Largespillagesofbloodshouldbeabsorbed
andremovedwithpapertowelsrst.

cover.
–Ensurethatthecastellatedfoamisfacing
upwardswheninsertedintoitscover.
