INSPECTION
Inspecting the unit prior to installation is the responsibility of
the installer. The bath unit is cleaned and inspected prior to
leaving the factory.
Damage sustained in transit is the responsibility of the carrier.
The owner or installer MUST open, uncrate, and inspect the
unit for damage when it is delivered. If damage is discovered,
the carrier must be immediately notied in writing with a re-
quest for a representative to inspect the unit. Failure of the
carrier to respond should be reported to the seller and carrier.

The installer is responsible for insuring that the unit is free
from defects or shipping damage. In the event of a problem,
DO NOT install the unit. The factory is not responsible for
damage that might have been avoided by inspection or test-
ing prior to installation.
Damage to the unit during installation will not be covered by
warranty and is the responsibility of the installer. ALL WAR-
RANTY CLAIMS ON CARRERA™ COMPOSITE SURFACE
DAMAGE MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
Inspect the bath for damage. Alert your dealer of any dis-
crepancies.
To protect the unit from damage, keep the bath in its carton
until ready for installation.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
These instructions are to be followed in installing the soaking
bath vessel, overows, ll spouts, and faucetry. Electrical
connection is not needed.
See the USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS section on page 3 for
humidity and mold prevention suggestions prior to Installation.
INSTALLATION
Remove the product from its packaging. Read the entire
instructions prior to installing this product. Each bath is
provided with a cardboard bath well protector that should be
kept in the unit throughout the bathroom construction process.
See Figure 1 and Figure 1-A.
1. Position the template to the nished oor in its desired
location. Transfer the centerlines of the template to the
nished oor. CAUTION: Use a marker, or tape that can
be removed from the nished oor after installation. Tape
the template to the nished oor using care to align both
centerlines and assure that the template is laying at on
oor. See Figure 2 and Figure 2-A.
2. Cut or punch through the template and mark the oor
where the two lines will represent the location of the interior
bottom supports.
3. Cut or fold back the template to mark the outside of the
base lines. This will locate where the outside of the base
will be aligned. (NOTE: Tape may be used instead of marks
where the bath is being placed on a nished oor.) With
a straight edge and the marks from earlier, mark the two
lines on the oor, where the two bottom support ribs will

sit. The supports are approximately ½” wide and run the
length of the base.
4. Dry t the drain to the bath per instructions included to
determine the proper t.
5. Attach the bath drain to the oor drain “P” trap. CAUTION:
Only dry t the drain to the “P” trap at this time. Leave the
drain assembly free standing in the “P” trap.
6. Place the bath using caution not to scratch the surface.
Align the bath with the centerlines of the template. Assure
that the drain is positioned properly. Remove the bath and
the template.
7. Apply 1/4” to 3/8” bead of adhesive approximately 2” from
the end opposite the sump, and all the way to the sump
area. Apply the adhesive in a zig-zag pattern, back and
forth across the lines. This will insure the supports locate
in the adhesive. See Figure 2 and Figure 2-A..
8. Place 4 small blocks, 3/4” thick at the edge line of the base,
to support the bath above the adhesive, until it is aligned
into place. Place the bath on the blocks and align it with
the marks created in step 1 above.
9. Once the bath is placed, remove the blocks one at a time,
and assure alignment with the marks. Now permanently
attach the drain tee to the “P” trap.
10.Fill the bath and check for any leaks.
Allow 24 hours before using the bath to insure that the
adhesive has fully cured.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
HUMIDITY
Warning: Avoid high humidity levels in your home. Mold, mildew,
fungi,and bacteriawhich may be harmful tohealth thrivein areas with
continued high humidity levels; therefore, every precaution should
be taken to make sure your plumbing xtures including bathtubs,
therapy baths, or showers do not become a source of high humidity
due to improper installations or leaks.
To avoid having your plumbing xtures become a source of
unwanted humidity, please make sure the following steps
are taken prior to installation.
1. Make sure the area where the bathtub or shower is
installed is well vented and allows enough ventilation and
air circulation to dry the bathroom environment within a
short time after taking a bath or shower.
2. If your bath or shower unit is tiled-in, use units with an
integral tile ange or make sure a tile ange kit or a similar
mechanical barrier is installed to prevent shower spray,
splash, or overow to leak behind the bathtub.
3. Make sure the plumber properly tests your therapy bath
before it is roughed in to make sure there are no leaks
and it is installed with proper access to bath equipment.
4. Make sure that all the plumbing and xtures in the bathroom
are in good working order and have no leaks.
5. Do not use carpeting or other materials or furniture, which
can hold moisture, in your bathroom.
6. Use disinfectant to clean any bathroom surfaces, which
are regularly exposed to moisture.
7. Clean and disinfect humidier and dehumidiers as
recommended by the manufacturer. Replace the air lter
on the HVAC unit once a month.
8. Clean moldy surfaces as soon as any mold appears by using
a detergent/soapy solution and appropriate household
cleaner. Always use gloves during cleaning. Dispose of
any sponges or rags used to clean mold.
CLEANING and SURFACE MAINTENANCE
The Carrera™ Composite solid surface is nonporous. Stains,
mold, mildew, or bacteria cannot penetrate the surface.
When frequently cleaned, the Carrera™ Composite solid
surface will maintain its original beauty and resist any signs
of wear and aging for years to come. Since the Carrera™
Composite solid surface is homogeneous and evenly solid,
surface damage can be easily removed by using extra ne
abrasive paper and cleaning with traditional abrasive deter-
gents.
Formostdirtandresidue,usesoapywaterorammoniacleaner;
rinse and wipe dry. For the occasional stubborn residue, use
a cleaner like Clorox Soft Scrub and a 3M Scotch Brite pad
(green) to remove the residue.
Occasional disinfecting can be preformed by wiping the sur-
face with diluted household bleach (1 part water and 1 part
bleach). Rinse the surface with water and wipe dry. When
using a bleach solution, care must be taken not to get any in
your eyes or on bare skin. You should always wear gloves
and eye protection when working with bleach.
The Carrera™ Composite solid surface should not be exposed
to strong chemicals, such as, paint remover, oven cleaners,
hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, chloride solvents (tri-
chloroethylene) or any strong acids or bases.
REPAIR
Refer all plumbing or surface repair to a qualied service
technician. Remember when contacting your dealer or service
representative to always have your serial number, proof of
purchase, and model number. This will ensure a quick re-
sponse on warranty items. The serial number can be found
on the label adhered to the bath.

WARNING: When using this unit, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
This manual contains information and instructions for proper operation and maintenance of your bath. Failure to follow
these instructions could result in personal injury, electrical shock or re.
READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
DANGER: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY FOLLOW THESE PRECAUTIONS:
A. Do not permit children to use this product unless they are closely supervised at all times.
B. Use this unit only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the
manufacturer.
C. The water in a therapy bath should never exceed 40°C (104°F). Water temperatures between 38°C (100°F) and 40°C
(104°F) are considered safe for a healthy adult. Use time should be limited to approximately 30 minutes, followed by
a shower to cool down. Longer exposures may result in hyperthermia. The symptoms of this condition are nausea,
dizziness, and fainting, and it can be fatal. Lower water temperatures are recommended for extended use (exceeding
10 -15 minutes) and for young children.
D. Since excessive water temperatures have a high potential for causing fetal damage during the early months of preg-
nancy, pregnant or possibly pregnant women should limit therapy bath water temperatures to 38°C (100°F).
E. The use of drugs or alcoholic beverages before or during therapy bath use may lead to unconsciousness with the
possibility of drowning. Never use the therapy bath while under the inuence of alcohol, anticoagulants, stimulants,
antihistamines, vasoconstrictors, vasodilators, hypnotics, narcotics, or tranquilizers.
F. Persons with a medical history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulatory system problems, or diabetes
should consult a physician before using a therapy bath.
G. Persons using medication should consult a physician before using a therapy bath since some medication may induce
drowsiness while other medication may affect heart rate, blood pressure, and circulation.
DANGER: To reduce the risk of injury, enter and exit the bath slowly.
WARNING: Never operate electrically connected devices in or near the bath.
Electrical outlets in the bath area must be connected to a supply circuit that is protected by a GFCI. Such a device should
be installed by a licensed electrician and should be tested on a regular basis (at least monthly). To test the GFCI, push the
TEST button. The GFCI should interrupt the power. Push the RESET button and the power should be restored. If the GFCI
fails to operate in this manner, there is the possibility of an electric shock. DO NOT USE. Disconnect the unit and have the
problem corrected by a qualied service technician.
To avoid the possibility of personal injury and discoloration of the acrylic surface, the inlet water temperature should not
exceed 40°C (104°F). The bath should be drained after each use. Each bather should start their bath with fresh water. Do
not use oil base additives in your therapy bath.
CAUTION: Do not use harsh abrasives or solvents for cleaning this unit.
