1. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing c-JAYS headphones. We
strongly recommend that you read this manual
carefully before use. You can order accessories and
get information about service and support at our
website: www.jays.se.
The c-JAYS headphones are equipped with JAYS
Elastic Multi Layer (EML) diaphragm speakers
which deliver a crystal clear, balanced sound with
detailed highs, rich mids and powerful lows. c-JAYS
has a slim, lightweight design with extendable arms
in tough glass fiber reinforced nylon. Two different
types of joints make the headphones flexible and
ergonomic.
2. PRECAUTIONS
» Do not use the product in other ways than
described in this manual.
» Handle with care at all times and protect from
external damage.
» Do not expose to magnetism or hot, cold or
damp environments.
» To clean: use a mild, antiseptic detergent.
» Do not expose the cords and plugs to abnormal
wear and tear, e.g. by bending or pulling them.
» Avoid winding the cord around your media
player too tightly.
» Avoid dropping or strong impact.Always leave the
cushions on for shock protection.
3. PROPER USE
The c-JAYS headphones have a semi-open construc-
tion, designed to give you an amazing sound experi-
ence. But keep in mind to lower the volume at public
places such as on the train, in the gym or at the
library in respect for the people next to you. Leaking
sound from your headphones might disturb others.

Using your headphones
We recommend that you take the time to get accus-
tomed to your c-JAYS headphones to really experi-
ence the difference in sound quality and comfort.
Turn the volume to minimum before wearing.
» Adjust the length of the headphones to fit the
size of your head. Center the speaker case
outside the auditory canal and make sure the
ear cushions cover your ears tightly.
» Slowly increase the volume to desired level. The
sound quality will increase after the first hours
of listening.
» After use, carefully remove the headphones and
place them in the carrying case.
Customizing your headphones
Your c-JAYS headphones come bundled with 3
different types of ear cushions. Each type has been
designed for specific purposes and also alters the
sound differently.
» Small foam ear cushions – These small ear
cushions are made to make your headphones
as slim as possible. They are especially good
when exercising. The structure of the foam
provides maximum amount of bass.
» Medium foam ear cushions – Give a very well
balanced sound, designed to be extra comfort-
able.
» Large high density foam ear cushions – Trans-
form your headphones to a closed design.These
cushions are perfect for home use. The large
high density foam ear cushions are designed
to provide a larger soundstage with more depth
and details.

Changing the ear cushions
Change the ear cushions by slowly removing them
from the speaker cases. Be careful not to damage the
ear cushions with your finger nails. Check that the ear
cushions are tightly wrapped around the whole front
side of each speaker before using.
4. FOR YOUR SAFETY
Hearing
These headphones are very powerful. Listening
at high volumes for prolonged periods can cause
permanent hearing damage. Always listen at moder-
ate volumes and remember to rest your ears once in
a while. If your ears start ringing, turn the sound off
immediately and rest your ears.
Traffic
Never use your c-JAYS while driving a car, moped, bi-
cycle or similar, nor while jogging or walking through
trafficated areas. We would like to remind you that
listening to music in trafficated environments can
lead to accidents.

7. SERVICE AND SUPPORT
If you need help with your product, please contact
your retailer or JAYS. Our contact details are printed
on the back of this manual. If the product needs to
be replaced your retailer will arrange it unless you
have been informed otherwise. Your product has a
2-year warranty unless otherwise specified. It covers
production faults. Read more about our warranty
terms in item 8.
8. WARRANTY
JAYS extends a 2-year warranty. This limited warranty
applies to buyers of JAYS AB’s products. If any other
party that resells the product after it has left JAYS
AB issues a different warranty from this one, the
most recently issued warranty shall apply. JAYS AB
guarantees that the product is free from faults in
the materials, design and manufacture when it was
transferred to the buyer. The warranty is only valid if
the following requirements are satisfied:

1) This warranty only applies to buyers who are
end-customers, and who can show a receipt or
certificate of warranty containing details about
the place of purchase, date and serial number.
This warranty does not infringe upon the provi-
sions of binding legislation or the buyer’s rights
in relation to the seller of the product.
2) This limited warranty can, with respect to the
main product, apply 24 months from when
the customer receives the product. If the buyer
sells the product to another party, the pur-
chaser can claim warranty cover for the same
period as the original buyer on the condition
that the terms of item 1 are fulfilled.
3) If there are faults in the design, materials or
manufacture, JAYS AB will undertake to redress
the fault through repairs or a replacement.
JAYS AB hereby undertakes to provide the
buyer with a product that is in full working
order during the warranty period. Ownership
rights to components that are replaced during
repairs belong to JAYS.
4) This warranty does not cover product
deterioration caused by normal wear and tear.
Furthermore, the warranty does not apply if:
a) the fault is caused by the product being
exposed to damp, moisture, extreme
temperatures or temperature changes,
chemical products, abnormal impact
damage or force majeure that is not
directly caused by faults in the materials,
design or manufacture.
b) the customer fails to notify JAYS AB
within 30 days of the fault being discov-
ered (within the warranty period).
c) it is not possible to identify the product
by checking the serial number that
should be identical to the product the
warranty is supposed to cover.
d) the product has been used in an incorrect
manner or has been connected to an
accessory which JAYS AB has advised the
customer not to use with the product.

9. CERTIFICATIONS
The aim of EU’s Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE) directives 2002/96/EC and the
ROHS directive is to reduce waste from electric and
electronic products and to recycle as much of the
materials as possible. Any remaining waste should
be virtually risk-free to handle and the risk of hazard-
ous emissions should be minimal.

Can I use c-JAYS with my MP3 player which has an
impedance of 16 ohms?
c-JAYS are very easy to drive.An MP3 player with
16 ohms impedance will therefore power the
headphones without a problem.
I need an L-shaped plug for my MP3 player. Where
can I get one?
JAYS’s L-shaped plugs are available from your
retailer and can also be ordered from our website:
www.jays.se.
How long is the warranty on my headphones? c-JAYS come with a 2-year warranty unless other-
wise arranged at the time of purchase.
Who do I contact if I have questions or problems? Contact your retailer or our Customer Service. Our

Where can I buy extra ear cushions for my
headphones?
You can buy accessories at your retailer or at our
website www.jays.se.
My headphones t badly. What should I do? Try a different ear cushion.There are three different
types to choose from.

Is it dangerous to use c-JAYS while in trafc? c-JAYS headphones affects your hearing abilities.
Wearing them in trafficated areas might be a
potential risk. We recommend that you use them
with precaution and that you never wear them
when driving a vehicle.
What is the EML speaker that c-JAYS use? The EML (Elastic Multi Layer) speaker is a rede-
signed and improved dynamic speaker by JAYS. The
multi-layered diaphragm has been put through a
special process to obtain its unique characteristics.
The elasticity in the diaphragm allows it to follow
the movement of the improved, easily driven, light-
weight voice coil.The core is a powerful Neodymium
magnet and along with this, a customized airflow
system has been created.
The volume level in left and right speaker is
uneven. What is the problem?
Check that the plug is correctly connected to your
listening device. Check for a loose connection
by connecting to a different sound source. If the
problem still persists, please contact your retailer
or JAYS Customer Service.

1. INTRODUKTION
Tack för att du valt c-JAYS hörlurar. Det är viktigt att
du läser igenom manualen noga innan du börjar
använda hörlurarna. På hemsidan www.jays.se kan

c-JAYS hörlurar är utrustade med JAYS Elastic Multi
Layer (EML) membran, som ger ett kristallklart,
balanserat ljud med detaljerade hög-, mellan- och
lågfrekventa toner. c-JAYS har en slimmad, nätt
design med justerbara armar i slitstarkt glasfiberför-
stärkt nylon. Fogar på två olika ställen gör hörluren
flexibel och ergonomisk.
2. VARNINGAR
» Använd inte produkten på annat sätt än vad
som beskrivs i denna manual.
» Hantera alltid din produkt varsamt och skydda
den mot yttre åverkan.
» Utsätt inte produkten för hetta, magnetism, kyla
eller fuktiga miljöer.
» Använd endast milt antiseptiskt medel vid
rengöring av produkten.
» Utsätt inte kablar och kontakter för onödigt
slitage genom att medvetet böja och dra i dem.
» Undvik att linda kabeln för hårt.
» Undvik att tappa produkten. Låt alltid hörlurs-
muffarna sitta på som skydd.
3. ANVÄNDNING
c-JAYS hörlurar har en halvöppen konstruktion,
designad för att ge dig en fantastisk ljudupplevelse.
Men tänk på att sänka volymen när du befinner
dig på allmänna platser som på tåget, i gymmet
eller biblioteket för att vissa hänsyn till människor
omkring dig. Läckande ljud från dina hörlurar kan
vara störande för andra.

Använda hörlurarna
Det är viktigt att du tar dig tid att vänja dig vid dina
c-JAYS hörlurar för att uppleva skillnaden i ljudkvali-
tet och komfort. När du använt dem ett tag kommer
du märka hur enkla de är att använda.
Ställ ner volymen till lägsta position innan du tar på
dig hörlurarna.
» Justera längden på hörlurarna så de passar
på ditt huvud. Placera högtalarhöljerna så de
centreras utanför hörselgångarna. Se till att
hörlursmuffarna sitter tätt om bägge öronen.
» Öka långsamt volymen önskad nivå. Ljudkvali-
teten kommer att förbättras efter några timmar
från första gången du använder dem.
» Efter användning, ta försiktigt av dig hörlurarna
och lägg dem i bärväskan.
Anpassa dina hörlurar
Dina c-JAYS hörlurar kommer med tre olika typer av
hörlursmuffar.Varje hörlursmuff är designad för olika
ändamål och förändrar ljudets karaktär.
» Hörlursmuffar, small – De här hörlursmuffarna
är utformade för att göra dina hörlurar så mini-
mala som möjligt. De är speciellt användbara
när du tränar. Strukturen på skummaterialet ger
maximal mängd bas.
» Hörlursmuffar, medium – Ger ett väldigt balan-
serat ljud, designad för extra komfort.
» Hörlursmuffar, large (hög densitet) – Ge
dina hörlurar en innesluten design! De här
hörlursmuffarna är perfekta för användning i
hemmet, utformade för att ge en större ljudscen
med mer djup och detaljer.

Byta hörlursmuffar
Byt hörlursmuffarna genom att varsamt trä av dem
från högtalarhöljet.Använd inte naglar då de kan
skada hörlursmuffen. Se till att hörlursmuffarna
omsluter hela den främre delen av högtalarhöljet när
du trär på nya.
4. SÄKERHET
Hörsel
Dessa hörlurar är mycket kraftfulla. Lyssning på
höga volymer under längre perioder kan orsaka
permanenta hörselskador. Lyssna alltid på låg volym
och glöm inte att vila öronen emellanåt. Upplever
du ringningar i öronen – stäng omedelbart av ljudet
och vila öronen.
Trafik
Använd aldrig c-JAYS hörlurar när du kör bil, moped,
cyklar, joggar eller går i trafikerade områden.Var
observant på att lyssning i trafikerade miljöer kan
leda till olyckor.
5. TILLBEHÖR
Det finns flera tillbehör till dina hörlurar, och utbudet
ökar ständigt. Nedan listas en del av de tillbehör

7. SERVICE OCH SUPPORT
När du behöver hjälp med din produkt kan du vända
dig till din återförsäljare eller till JAYS. Kontaktuppgif-
ter till oss finns på baksidan av denna manual. Om
produkten behöver bytas ombesörjer din återförsäl-
jare detta, om inget annat instruerats. Din produkt
har 2 års garanti, om inget annat angetts, och täcker
fel som uppstår på grund av produktionsfel. Mer om
våra garantivillkor finner du under punkt 8.
8. GARANTI
JAYS levererar 2 års garanti. Denna begränsade
garanti gäller för köpare av JAYS AB:s produkter.
Om någon, som sålt produkten vidare efter det att
produkten lämnat JAYS AB:s ägo, utfärdat någon
annan garanti än denna garanti skall den senast
utfärdade garantin gälla. JAYS AB garanterar att pro-
dukten, vid tidpunkten för avlämningen av produkten
till köparen, är fri från fel i material, design och
tillverkning. Garantin gäller enbart om nedan angivna
villkor är uppfyllda:

1) Denna garanti kan endast göras gällande av
köpare som är slutkund, och som kan uppvisa
kvitto eller garantibevis innehållande uppgifter
om inköpsställe, datum och serienummer.
Denna garanti begränsar inte vad som stadgas
i tvingande lagstiftning eller den rätt som
köparen har gentemot den som sålt produkten.
2) Denna begränsade garanti kan, vad gäller den
huvudsakliga produkten, göras gällande inom
24 månader från och med avlämningen av
produkten till kunden. Om köparen överlåter
produkten till annan kan förvärvaren göra ga-
rantianspråk gällande under samma tidsperiod
som den ursprunglige köparen under förutsätt-
ning att villkoren i punkt 1 är uppfyllda.
3) Om fel i design, material eller tillverkning
skulle uppstå åtar sig JAYS AB att efter eget val
avhjälpa felet som uppstått genom reparation
eller omleverans. Härmed åtar sig JAYS AB att
förse köparen med en fungerande produkt
under garantitidens gång. Utbytta delar vid
reparation tillkommer JAYS med äganderätt.
4) Denna garanti gäller inte försämring av pro-
dukten som får anses bero på normalt slitage.
Garantin gäller inte heller om;
a) felet beror på att produkten utsatts för
fukt, vätska, extrema temperaturer eller
temperaturväxlingar, kemiska produkter,
onormalt yttre våld eller force majeure
som inte direkt orsakats av materialfel,
designfel eller tillverkningsfel
b) kunden inte underrättat JAYS AB inom
30 dagar efter det att felet upptäckts
och inom garantiperioden.
c) produkten ej går att identifiera genom
kontroll av serienummer såsom identisk
med den produkt som garantin görs
gällande för.
d) produkten har använts på ett sätt som
strider mot vad produkten är avsedd
att användas för eller har anslutits till
ett tillbehör som JAYS AB avrått från att
använda produkten tillsammans med.

9. CERTIFIERINGAR
Målet med EU:s Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE) direktiv 2002/96/EC tillsam-
mans med RoHS-direktivet är att minska avfallet
från elektriska och elektroniska produkter och att
återvinna så mycket material som möjligt. Överblivet
avfall skall vara så riskfritt som möjligt att hantera
och risken för farliga utsläpp skall vara minimerad.
