1Control elements:
1.1 Service connector, 2nd generation:
Since the production June 2012, the side panels are assembled concise to the front.
This means, that there is no slot anymore to open the service-cover.
To release the service-cover you can follow up the steps below:
Insert a metal ruler (thickness max. 0.5 mm) on the front side and slide it to the left
(pay attention to not scratch the control panel)
Support this action by pushing with finger from above
Release the left lock analogue the right

1.2 Service connector, 1st generation:
Push with a small screw driver (No. 0) into both slots, between side- and front panel, to release the
interlock and pull top cover up to remove it
Support by pushing with finger from above
2Key combinations:
2.1 Reset to “first use” (Fill system, Initializing):
Precondition: Your ENA is ready for use
Touch the NORMAL & STRONG symbols for approximately 2 seconds
Remove and empty the water tank
Touch the symbol ESPRESSO
Hot water will continue to flow until the system is empty and symbol WATER TANK lights up
Remove drip tray and coffee grounds container
Open cover for powder chute for ground coffee
Touch the symbol ESPRESSO
All symbols lights up 3 times
Appliance switches off automatically
2.2 Reset to factory settings:
Precondition: Your ENA is ready for use
Touch the NORMAL & STRONG symbols for approximately 2 seconds
Remove and empty the water tank
Touch the symbol COFFEE
All symbols lights up 3 times

14.3 Temperature:
Fix HIGH
Draw off temperature is measured at the outlet and is, depending on settings, between
82 °C ... 89 °C (179 °F ... 192 °F)
In the range of < 80 ml, an intelligent heating system comes to action which is able to remember
the time of the last product taken. Therefore, at the beginning of a draw off it will heat up slightly
higher in temperature to compensate the loss.
15 CLARIS filter:

20 Prepare appliance for resale:
Procedure:
All products will be reset to factory settings and the fluid system is empty due to protection against frost.
The appliance asks the customer for Filter YES/NO and afterwards it will fill the system with water.
Initial position:
The appliance is fully working and if necessary, an exit diagnosis has been made with the animation system.
20.1 Hint, if the animation system will be used:
If the appliance will be serviced with the animation system, just start 2x one after the other an entry
diagnosis. The customer settings will be then overwritten with the factory settings.
After the exit diagnosis will the “first use bit”set anyhow and therefore no further procedures are necessary
anymore (see chapter 20.2 ).
20.2 Procedure without animation system:
Set factory settings:
Precondition: Your ENA is ready for use
Touch the NORMAL & STRONG symbols for approximately 2 seconds
Remove and empty the water tank
Touch the symbol COFFEE
All symbols lights up 3 times
Appliance switches off automatically
Set First use bit:
Precondition: Your ENA is ready for use
Touch the NORMAL & STRONG symbols for approximately 2 seconds
Remove and empty the water tank
Touch the symbol ESPRESSO
Hot water will continue to flow until the system is empty and symbol WATER TANK lights up
Remove drip tray and coffee grounds container
Open cover for powder chute for ground coffee
