Thank you for purchasing the JVC battery charger. Use
this unit to recharge the JVC battery pack for exclusive
use with the JVC Digital Video Camera. To avoid
problems and obtain the best results, please read this
instruction booklet carefully before use.

When you are not using this unit for a long period of time, it

This battery charger is for use exclusively with JVC
Digital Video Camera.
This battery charger is in conformity with the provisions
and protection requirements of the corresponding
European Directives.
This equipment is designed exclusively for JVC digital
video cameras and battery packs.
NOTE:
The rating plate (serial number plate) is on the bottom of
the unit.
When the equipment is installed in a cabinet or on a shelf,
make sure that it has sufficient space on all sides to allow
for ventilation (10 cm or more on both sides, on top and at
the rear).
Do not block the ventilation holes.
(If the ventilation holes are blocked by a newspaper, or cloth
etc. the heat may not be able to get out.)
No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should
be placed on the apparatus.
When discarding batteries, environmental problems must
be considered and the local rules or laws governing the
disposal of these batteries must be followed strictly.
The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or
splashing.
Do not use this equipment in a bathroom or places with
water.
Also do not place any containers filled with water or liquids
(such as cosmetics or medicines, flower vases, potted
plants, cups etc.) on top of this unit.
(If water or liquid is allowed to enter this equipment, fire or
electric shock may be caused.)

1Connect the power cord to the battery charger.
2Plug the power cord into an AC outlet.
3Remove the battery pack’s protective cap. Attach the
battery pack with its arrow pointing toward the lamp side
of the battery pack mount on the battery charger. The
CHARGE lamp begins blinking to indicate charging has
started.
4When the CHARGE lamp stops blinking but stays lit,
charging is finished.
5Slide the battery in the opposite direction of the arrow
and lift off. Remember to unplug the power cord from the
AC outlet.
NOTE:
Perform charging where the temperature is between 10°C
(50°F) and 35°C (95°F). 20°C (68°F) to 25°C (77°F) is the
ideal temperature range for charging. If the environment is too
cold, charging may be incomplete.
* When charged at temperatures between 20°C (68°F) and
25°C (77°F).
●When charging battery packs after a long storage period,
charging time will be longer than the time indicated above.

●The battery charger is specifically designed to charge
the battery packs BN-VF808U, BN-VF815U or
BN-VF823U.
●When charging a brand new battery pack, or one that
has been in storage for an extended period, the
CHARGE lamp may not come on. In this case, remove
the battery pack, then reattach and try charging again.
●Vibration noise can sometimes be heard coming from
the inside of the battery charger. This is normal.
●The battery charger processes electricity internally, and
will become warm during use. This is normal. Make
sure to use the battery charger in well-ventilated areas
only.
●If the battery operation time remains extremely short
even after having been fully charged, the battery is worn
out and needs to be replaced. Please purchase a new
one.

1 Schließen Sie das Netzkabel an das Akku-Ladegerät an.
2 Schließen Sie das Netzkabel an eine Netzsteckdose an.
3 Entfernen Sie die Schutzkappe des Akkusatzes. Legen
Sie den Akkusatz so in das Akku-Ladegerät ein, dass der
Pfeil in Richtung der Anzeigenleuchten am Akkuhalter
zeigt. Die Ladeanzeige (CHARGE) beginnt zu blinken, was
anzeigt, dass der Ladevorgang begonnen hat.
4Wenn die CHARGE-Anzeige vom Blink- auf ein
Dauerlichtsignal wechselt, ist der Ladevorgang
abgeschlossen.
5Ziehen Sie den Akku entgegen der Pfeilrichtung ab
und nehmen Sie ihn heraus. Vergessen Sie nicht, das
Netzkabel aus der Netzsteckdose zu ziehen.
HINWEIS:
Führen Sie den Ladevorgang bei Umgebungstemperaturen
zwischen 10°C und 35°C durch. 20°C bis 25°C sind der
ideale Temperaturbereich zum Laden. Bei zu niedrigen
Umgebungstemperaturen können die Akkus ggf. nicht
vollständig geladen werden.
* Ladebetrieb bei einer Umgebungstemperatur zwischen
20°C und 25°C.
●Wurde der Akkusatz über eine längere Zeit gelagert, kann
die erforderliche Ladezeit länger sein als oben angegeben.

●Beim Laden eines ganz neuen oder eines über längere
Zeit gelagerten Akkusatzes kann es vorkommen, dass
die CHARGE-Anzeige nicht aufleuchtet. Entnehmen
Sie in diesem Fall den Akkusatz und schließen Sie ihn
erneut an.
● Gelegentlich können Brummgeräusche aus dem Inneren
des Akku-Ladegeräts auftreten. Dies ist keine Fehlfunktion.
●Das Akku-Ladegerät verarbeitet im Inneren Elektrizität
und wird während des Gebrauchs warm. Dies ist keine
Fehlfunktion. Verwenden Sie das Akku-Ladegerät nur in
gut belüfteten Bereichen.
●Falls die Betriebszeit eines Akkus trotz voller Aufladung
sehr kurz ist, ist der Akku verbraucht und muss ersetzt
werden. Bitte erstehen Sie einen neuen.

petite extrémité du cordon
d’alimentation à fond dans le
chargeur de batterie puis

Ce chargeur de batterie est conforme aux dispositions
et exigences de protection des directives européennes
correspondantes.
Cet appareil est exclusivement destiné à des
caméscopes numériques et batteries JVC.
REMARQUE :
La plaque signalétique (indiquant le numéro de série) est
située sous le chargeur.
Si le matériel est installé dans un coffret ou sur une
étagère, s'assurer qu'il y a un espace suffisant sur tous les
côtés pour permettre la ventilation (10 cm ou plus sur les
deux côtés, au dessus et à l'arrière).
Ne pas boucher les orifices de ventilation.
(Si les orifices de ventilation sont bouchés par un journal,
un tissu, etc., la chaleur peut ne pas s'éliminer.)

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ IMPORTANTES
1. Lire ces instructions.
2. Conserver ces instructions.
3. Tenir compte de tous les avertissements.

5. Ne pas utiliser cet appareil à proximité de l'eau.
6. Ne nettoyer qu'avec un chiffon sec.
7. Ne pas boucher les ouvertures de ventilation. Installer
selon les instructions du fabricant.

poêles, ou d'autres appareils (comprenant les

9. Protéger le cordon d'alimentation pour éviter qu'il ne soit

UTILISATION DE L’ADAPTATEUR POUR PRISE
SECTEUR
Pour brancher la fiche du cordon d’alimentation dans
une prise secteur différente du type C73 de l’American
National Standard, utiliser un adaptateur pour prise
secteur, également appelé « Fiche Siemens », comme
illustré ci-dessous.

INFORMATION
Cet ensemble se conforme à la partie 15 des règles de la
FCC (Federal Communications Commission). Le
fonctionnement est sujet aux deux conditions suivantes :
(1) Cet appareil ne peut pas causer d'interférences
nuisibles, et (2) cet appareil doit accepter toute interférence
reçue, comprenant des interférences qui peuvent causer un
mauvais fonctionnement.
Des changements ou modifications non approuvés par JVC
peuvent annuler le droit de l'utilisateur de faire fonctionner
l'appareil. Cet appareil a été testé et il a été reconnu qu'il se
conforme aux limites concernant l'appareillage informatique
de classe B correspondant à la partie 15 des règles de la
FCC.
Ces limites sont conçues pour garantir une protection
