Safety Warnings
that curtains and other materials do not
obstruct the ventilation vents.
• A minimum distance of 5 cm around the
speaker should be maintained to allow for
sucient ventilation.
• Do not install or place this speaker in a
bookcase, built-in cabinet or in another
conned space. Ensure the speaker is well
ventilated.
Safety
• Always disconnect the speaker from
the mains supply before connecting /
disconnecting other devices or moving the
speaker.
• Unplug the speaker from the mains socket
during a lightning storm.
• In the interests of safety and to avoid
unnecessary energy consumption, never
leave the speaker switched on while
unattended for long periods of time, e.g.
overnight, while on holiday or while out of
the house. Switch it o and disconnect the
mains plug from the mains socket.
Mains Cable
• Make sure the speaker or speaker stand is
not resting on top of the mains cable, as
the weight of the speaker may damage the
mains cable and create a safety hazard.
• If the mains cable is damaged it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent, or similarly qualied persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
Interference
• Do not place the speaker on or
near appliances which may cause
electromagnetic interference. If you do,
it may adversely aect the operating
performance of the speaker, and cause a
distorted picture or sound.
Batteries
• Batteries used in the remote control for
this speaker are easily swallowed by young
children and this is dangerous.
• Keep loose batteries away from young
children and make sure that the battery
holder tray is secure in the remote control.
Seek medical advice if you believe a cell
• Read all the instructions carefully before
using the speaker and keep them for future
reference.
• Retain the manual. If you pass the speaker
onto a third party make sure to include this
manual.
• Check that the voltage marked on the
rating label matches your mains voltage.
Damage
• Please inspect the speaker for damage
after unpacking.
• Do not continue to operate the speaker
if you are in any doubt about it working
normally, or if it is damaged in any way -
switch o, withdraw the mains plug and
consult your dealer.
Location of Speaker
• The speaker must be placed on a at stable
surface and should not be subjected to
vibrations.
• Do not place the speaker on sloped or
unstable surfaces as the speaker may fall
o or tip over.
• The mains socket must be located near the
speaker and should be easily accessible.
• This speaker is designed for indoor,
domestic use only.
Temperature
• Avoid extreme degrees of temperature,
either hot or cold. Place the speaker well
away from heat sources such as radiators or
gas / electric res.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other
sources of heat.
Naked Flames
• Never place any type of candle or naked
ame on the top of or near the speaker.
Moisture
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock
or product damage, do not expose this
speaker to rain, moisture, dripping or
splashing. No objects lled with liquids,
such as vases, should be placed on the
speaker.
• If you spill any liquid into the speaker, it can
cause serious damage. Switch it o at the
mains immediately. Withdraw the mains
plug and consult your dealer.
Ventilation
• To prevent the risk of electric shock or
re hazard due to overheating, ensure

Supervision

Service

contain any user-serviceable parts. Please

abrasive cleaning solutions as these may

Installing the Batteries into the Remote Control
Removing the insulating strip
Remove the insulating plastic strip from the battery if the
battery is being used for the rst time. It is located at the
bottom back side of the remote control.
Battery Replacement for the Remote Control
The remote control requires a CR2025, 3V Lithium battery.
1. Slide and hold the battery release tab in the direction
of the arrow and at the same time pull out the battery
holder.
Handling the Battery
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which could cause re,
personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the battery correctly by following the polarity (+ and –) indications in the battery compartment.
• When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.
• Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
• Do not dispose of the used battery as domestic waste. Dispose of it in accordance with the local
regulations.
• Small button cell batteries such as the one used in the remote control are easily swallowed by young
children and this is dangerous. Keep loose button cells away from young children and make sure that
the battery holder tray is secure in the remote control. Seek medical advice if you believe a cell has
been swallowed.
Handling the Remote Control
• Do not drop the remote control.
• Do not allow anything to impact the remote control.
• Do not spill water or any liquid on the remote control.
• Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
• Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive heat.
• Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time, as corrosion or
battery leakage may occur and result in physical injury, and / or property damage, and / or re.
• When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.
2. Fully pull out the battery holder and remove the old
battery.
3. Replace with a new battery.
4. Insert the battery holder back into the remote control.

Remote Control Operation Range
• Point the remote control at the
speaker no more than 5 meters
from the remote control sensor
and within 60° of the front of
the speaker.
• Please note that the operating
distance may vary depending
on the brightness of the room.
• Make sure that there is no obstacle between the infrared remote sensor of the speaker and remote
control. If you install the speaker on rack, etc., the remote controllable range may decrease depending
on the thickness or colour of glass door of rack.
• Do not expose the infrared remote sensor to direct sunlight or other strong light, such as inverter
uorescent light.

Connecting to the Mains
This speaker was designed to operate with an AC 100-240V power supply. Connecting the
speaker to any other power source may cause damage to the speaker.
1. Unwind the mains cable to its full length.
2. Connect the mains plug to a mains socket. Make sure the mains plug is fully inserted
into the mains socket. Switch on at the mains socket.
3. The speaker is now connected and ready to use.
4. To switch the speaker o completely, switch the MAINS POWER switch to the OFF
position or withdraw the mains plug from the mains socket.

Basic Operating
Switching ON / OFF
• Ensure that the plug is switched on at the wall socket, then switch the POWER ON/OFF
switch at the rear of the speaker to the ON position.
• To turn the speaker on, either press the STANDBY button on the remote control or
press the STANDBY button on the speaker. When the speaker is on one of the Source
lights will light up.
• To switch the speaker to standby, either press the STANDBY button on the remote
control or press the STANDBY button on the speaker. The standby mode indicator will
light.
• To completely turn o the speaker, switch the MAINS POWER switch at the rear of the
speaker to the OFF position.
Selecting Modes
• On the speaker, press the SOURCE button repeatedly to toggle between Bluetooth,
iPhone/ iPad / iPod and AUX modes. The LED indicator will light up indicating the
mode chosen.
• On the remote control, press the SOURCE button repeatedly to select either Bluetooth,
iPhone/ iPad / iPod or AUX mode. The LED indicator will light up indicating the mode
chosen.
• NFC mode is selected with the speaker in standby or Bluetooth modes by placing an
NFC device close to (within 10mm) the speaker’s NFC sensor.
If the speaker is idle for approximately 20 mins, it will automatically switch to standby mode.
Adjusting the Volume
When you adjust the volume the LED indicator will blink each time you press a volume
button. When you reach maximum or minimum volume level the LED indicator will ash
every 2 seconds.
• Press the VOLUME +/– buttons on the speaker or remote control to adjust the volume.
• If you wish to switch the sound o, press the MUTE button on the remote control.
The LED indicator next to the mode in use will ash every second. Press the MUTE
button again or the VOLUME +/– button to resume normal listening.
Adjusting the Sound Eect
When you adjust the Bass or Treble the LED indicator will blink each time you press a bass
or treble button.
• Press the BASS +/– button repeatedly on the remote control to adjust the bass level.
• Press the TREBLE +/– button repeatedly on the remote control to adjust the
treble level.

Bluetooth® Operation
1. Select BLUETOOTH mode by repeatedly pressing the SOURCE button
on the speaker or on the remote control. The Bluetooth indicator light with ash, this is
showing that its in pairing mode
2. Activate Bluetooth on the device to be connected and select search mode.
3. “SP-AD300”will appear on the list of Bluetooth devices. Type in the password “0000”
if requested.
4. There will be a sound once the connection is complete and the indicator light with stop
ashing.
5. In BLUETOOTH mode the PLAY/PAUSE, VOLUME +/– controls, MUTE button
and / buttons can be controlled using the remote control. Use the controls on
the device for all other functions.
6. You must disconnect the Bluetooth device before it can be paired with another device.
There will be a sound to conrm the disconnection.
If you are trying to pair your speaker to a mobile device and your mobile device shows the message
‘ failed to connect and password is incorrect’, then switch the speaker o at the mains switch, wait 1
minute then switch the speaker back on. Try pairing again using bluetooth or NFC modes.

NFC Operation
NFC is a one touch way of pairing your NFC device via Bluetooth to your speaker.
1. The speaker must be in STANDBY or Bluetooth mode to pair using NFC. Check your
device has NFC enabled.
2. Place the NFC sensor area on the device close to the speaker’s NFC sensor area (it will
work best within 10mm). The speaker will switch on and switch to Bluetooth mode, it
will play a sound to show it is connected via Bluetooth and the Bluetooth LED on the
speaker will light up.
The rst time you use a device with NFC or if you have previously used it but unpaired it
you will be asked if you want to connect to the speaker. Conrm you want to connect.
3. Use the controls on the device to select and play music. In Bluetooth mode the PLAY/
PAUSE, VOLUME +/– controls, MUTE button and / buttons on the device and
remote control can be used to control playback. Use the controls on the device for all
other functions.
4. To disconnect the device place simply switch the speaker into standby, switch to
another source or switch Bluetooth o on your NFC device.
Distance between device sensor
and sensor area on speaker
should be less than 10mm
• Do not leave your NFC device on top of the speaker, it will cause connection problems. Once
connected or disconnected move your mobile device away from the speakers NFC sensor.
• Do not touch your mobile device to your speaker you may scratch or damage your speaker or mobile
device. Take care when connecting via NFC.
• Your speaker has an auto reconnect feature which will automatically reconnect your Bluetooth device
with your speaker (this feature may not be available on all Bluetooth devices). So as long as Bluetooth
is left switched on, on your mobile device it will automatically reconnect to your speaker when you
come back home, when the speaker is switch on and in Bluetooth mode.

If its the rst time the NFC device has been used you with your Speaker you will be asked if you want to
connect. Conrm you want to connect.
Connecting an NFC Device with one Already Connected
You can only connect one NFC device at a time. If an NFC device is already connected, the
connected device must be disconnected before you can connect another NFC device. This
is to prevent some from changing the music you are playing without your permission.
1. In the Bluetooth settings of the connected device select disconnect. The Bluetooth
device will now disconnect.
2. While the speaker is in Bluetooth mode touch the other NFC device against the NFC
sensor, the device will now connect.

iPhone / iPad / iPod Operation
This speaker can support the following iPhone/iPad/iPod models.

1. Select iPhone/iPad/iPod mode by repeatedly pressing the SOURCE button on the
speaker or on the remote control.
2. Connect your iPhone/iPad/iPod to the speaker using the USB socket on the back of
speaker.
3. Once connected, the speaker will start playback automatically and also start charging the
device.
4. Select your desired music and play the connected iPhone/iPod/iPad as usual.
You can use either the iPhone/iPad/iPod controls or the remote control.
To avoid damaging your iPhone/iPod/iPad or the speaker please take care when inserting and removing
the cable.
Charging your iPhone/iPad/iPod
• You can automatically charge the iPhone/iPad/iPod through the speaker when it is
connected by a USB cable.

The volume is only adjustable from the Speaker or remote control when you are connected
to the USB socket.

Aux Operation
1. Make sure the speaker is disconnected at the
mains socket.
2. Use a supplied 3.5mm to 3.5mm AUX cable to
connect your audio device through the AUX IN
socket at the rear of the speaker.
3. Connect the mains plug to the mains socket
and switch the POWER ON/OFF switch at the
rear of the speaker to the ON position. The
speaker will enter standby mode. The indicator
light will be on but dim to show the speaker is
in standby mode.
4. Press the STANDBY button on the remote
control or the STANDBY button on the speaker
to switch the speaker on.
5. Select AUX mode by repeatedly pressing the
SOURCE button on the speaker or SOURCE
button on the remote control. The Aux
indicator will now light brighter to show Aux
mode is selected.
6. In AUX mode only the VOLUME +/– controls
and MUTE button can be controlled using the
remote control. Use the controls on the device
for all other functions.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Speaker
Ensure to unplug the speaker from the mains socket before cleaning.
• To clean the speaker, wipe the case with a slightly moist, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use any cleaning uids containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasives.
• Do not spray aerosol at or near the radio.

Problem Cause / Solution
Power
Speaker does not turn
on or does not respond
to the remote control.
• Make sure the mains plug is connected to the mains socket
and switched on at the mains.
• Check that the remote control has a battery. The battery
may need to be replaced.
• Make sure that the power switch on the back of the speaker
is switched to ON.
iPhone/ iPad / iPod
The speaker doesn’t
play les or doesn’t
function as expected.
• Make sure the function is set to iPhone/ iPad / iPod mode.
• Make sure the iPhone/ iPad / iPod is connected properly.
• Make sure the iPhone/ iPad / iPod is switched on.
• Volume level may need increasing on the iPhone/ iPad /
iPod.
Remote Control
No functions or
short range.
• The battery may need to be replaced.
• Aim remote directly towards the remote sensor.
• Remove any objects that are between the remote control
and sensor.
NFC
Can’t connect
• Make sure the Speaker is in Standby or Bluetooth mode
before touching the devices together.
• Make sure another NFC device isn’t already connected. If so
disconnect the other device.
If any anomaly is encountered, unplug the mains plug and reconnected again.
