Duties of the operator The unit is operated in the commercial sector. The operator of
the unit is therefore subject to the legal obligations concerning
occupational health and safety.
In addition to the safety instructions in these operating
instructions, the valid safety, accident prevention and
environmental protection regulations must be observed for the
area of use of the unit.
The following applies in particular:
The operator must be aware of the applicable health and
safety regulations and determine in a risk assessment other
hazards that may arise from the special working conditions
at the site of operation. He then has to implement this in
the form of operating instructions for the operation of the
unit.
The operator must regulate and specify the responsibilities
for installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance
and cleaning.
The operator must ensure that all staff who work on
the unit have read and understood these instructions. In
addition, he must also train personnel and inform them of
the possible dangers at regular intervals.
It is the responsibility of the operator to provide
maintenance and repair personnel with the necessary
personal protective equipment and advise them of the
necessity to wear it.
