ENTRAPMENT ALARM

Installation:
1. Install the supplied utility boxes & conduit in the desired location (best location would be in the vicinity
of the “Inside Release Handle” for hinged doors or “Pocket/Lever Handle” for sliding doors.
The utility box for the “Alarm Module” should be mounted high on the wall where staff have an unob-
structed view of the ashing LED lights.
3. Plug the K19670000946 power/battery cable into either of the “HUB” sockets on the “Alarm Module”.
Then route the cable from the “Alarm Utility Box” to the location where the 100-240VAC outlet can be used
to plug in the supplied power transformer.
2. Feed the connection wire from the “Panic Module (K1967-007)” through conduit and connect to the
“Alarm Module (K1967-005)”. Refer to wiring diagram included on page 2.
We have also included an additional wire for your convenience if required. Fix the “Alarm Module” to the
utility box.

4. Review wiring diagrams and make all connections.
*Note: When adding the “Door Open Sensor” (optional extra), it is important to remove the
wire jumper before adding wire.
5. Attach the 9v battery to the battery cable and rest in the housing.
6. Fix the “Alarm Module” to the utility box.
7. Ensure all conduit connections to the utility boxes are sealed with silicone to prevent moisture entry.
8. Plug the transformer cable into the K19670000946 power cable and then plug into the 100-240 VAC
power supply. LEDs will start ashing showing the unit is operational.

Cleaning & Maintenance:
To clean the face plate, use a solution of mild soap detergent and water. Apply with a soft cloth or sponge
and rinse with water. Do NOT drip water directly into the alarm speaker opening on K1965-005 Alarm
Module. Do NOT clean with window cleaning uids, ammonia, bleach or other strong solvents.
Important:
9v battery back-up must be tested every 3 months. Change if LED’s are dim or if they do not display in
battery operation.
*Warning - NEVER install 9v lithum ion batteries.
