the mixing tools and some of their uses
beater ●For making cakes, biscuits, pastry, icing, fillings, éclairs and
mashed potato.
whisk ●For eggs, cream, batters, fatless sponges, meringues, cheesecakes,
mousses, soufflés. Don’t use the whisk for
heavy mixtures (eg creaming fat and sugar) - you could
damage it.
dough hook ●For yeast mixtures.
to use your mixer
1Press down on the head release lever and raise the mixer
head until it locks into position.
to insert a tool 2 Select a tool and push into the tool socket .
●Always ensure the guard is fitted onto the shaft of the dough
hook before inserting into the outlet. Once inserted fit the
guard to the mixer outlet to prevent food ingress.
3Fit the bowl into the base and turn clockwise to lock into
position .
4Press down on the head release lever and lower the mixer head until
it locks into position.
5Plug into the power supply then switch on and turn the speed
switch to the desired setting. To switch off turn to ‘0’.
●Switch to pulse P for short bursts
6Unplug from the power supply.
to remove a tool 7 Raise the mixer head and whilst holding it steady, pull the tool
from the outlet.
important ●Some movement of the mixer head is normal when
mixing heavy loads such as bread dough.
If the mixer head is raised during operation, the machine will stop
working straight away. To re-start the mixer, lower the mixer head,
turn the speed switch to the off position, wait a few seconds and then
re-select the speed. The mixer should resume operating straight away.
●If for any reason power to the mixer is interrrupted and the machine
stops working, turn the speed switch to the off position, wait a few
seconds and then re-select the speed. The mixer should resume
operating straight away.
●The mixer will not operate unless all the outlet covers are correctly
fitted to the machine.
●If you hear the machine labouring either switch off and remove
some of the mixture or increase the speed.

hints ●Switch off and scrape the bowl with a spatula when necessary.
●Eggs at room temperature are best for whisking.
●Before whisking egg whites, make sure there’s no grease or
egg yolk on the whisk or bowl.
●Use cold ingredients for pastry unless your recipe states otherwise.
●When creaming fat and sugar for cake mixes, always use the fat at room temperature or soften
it first.
●Your mixer has been fitted with ‘soft start’ feature to minimise spillage. However if the machine
is switched on with a heavy mixture in the bowl such as bread dough, you may notice that the
mixer takes a few seconds to reach the selected speed.

important ●Never exceed the maximum capacities stated - you will overload the
machine.
●Some movement of the mixer head is normal when mixing heavy loads such as bread dough.
●The ingredients mix best if you put the liquid in first.
●At intervals stop the machine and scrape the mixture off the dough hook.
●Different batches of flour vary considerably in the quantities of liquid required and the stickiness
of the dough can have a marked effect on the load imposed on the machine. You are advised
to keep the machine under observation whilst the dough is being mixed; the operation should
take no longer than 6-8 minutes.

Your mixer is fitted with an electronic speed sensor control that is designed to maintain the
speed under different load conditions, such as when kneading bread dough or when eggs are
added to a cake mix. You may therefore hear some variation in speed during the operation as
the mixer adjusts to the load and speed selected - this is normal.

1Fit the bowl into the base and add the ingredients.
2Fit the tool then lower the mixer head
3Fit the splashguard onto the bowl by sliding the cut away
section around the mixer head .
4To remove the splashguard reverse the above
procedure.

carrot and coriander soup
ingredients ●25g butter
●1 onion chopped
●1 clove garlic crushed
●750g carrot cut into 1.5 cm cubes
(alternatively for a lighter soup use 600g carrot cut into 1.5 cm cubes)
●cold chicken stock
●10-15ml ground coriander
●salt and pepper
method 1 Melt the butter in a pan, add the onion and garlic and fry until soft.
2Place the carrot into the liquidiser, add the onion and garlic. Add sufficient stock to reach the
1.5 level marked on the goblet. Fit the lid and filler cap.
3Blend on the pulse setting for 5 seconds for a coarse soup or longer for a finer result.
4Transfer the mixture to a saucepan, add the coriander and seasoning and simmer the soup for
30 to 35 minutes or until cooked.
5Adjust the seasoning as necessary and add extra liquid if required.

●Wees voorzichtig wanneer u dit apparaat optilt. Zorg dat de kop
vergrendeld is en dat de kom, hulpstukken en het snoer vastzitten
voor u het apparaat optilt.

de menghulpstukken en hoe ze gebruikt kunnen worden
klopper ●Voor het bereiden van taarten, koekjes, gebakjes, suikerglazuur,
vullingen, éclairs en aardappelpuree.
garde ●Voor eieren, room, beslag, vetloos eiergebak, meringue, kaastaart,
mousse, soufflé. Gebruik de garde niet voor zware mengsels
(bijv. boter en suiker vermengen), omdat de garde daardoor
beschadigd kan raken.

het gebruik van uw mixer
1Duw de ontgrendeling van de kop naar beneden en licht de kop
van de mixer op tot hij rechtop vastklikt.

bevestigen 2 Selecteer een hulpstuk en duw het in de fitting .
●Zorg er altijd voor dat de kap op de steel van de deeghaak zit
voor u deze in de fitting steekt. plaats de kap vervolgens in de het
aansluitpunt van de mixer om te voorkomen dat er voedsel in komt.
3Zet de kom op de bodemplaat en draai hem naar rechts om
hem te vergrendelen .
4Duw de vergrendeling van de kop omlaag en breng de kop van de
mixer omlaag tot hij horizontaal vastklikt
5Steek de stekker in het stopcontact, schakel het apparaat aan
en draai de snelheidknop naar de gewenste stand. Om het
apparaat uit te zetten, draait u de knop naar ‘0’.
●Draai naar stand P voor korte pulsen
6Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact.

verwijderen 7 Licht de kop van de mixer op en trek het hulpstuk uit het
aansluitpunt terwijl u de kop vasthoudt.
belangrijk ●Het is normaal dat de mengkop beweegt wanneer u de
processor zwaar belast, zoals bij het bereiden van
brooddeeg.
●Als de kop van de mixer opgetild wordt terwijl het apparaat aan staat, dan
stopt het apparaat onmiddellijk. Om de mixer opnieuw op te starten,
draait u de knop naar de uit-stand, wacht een paar seconden en
selecteert de snelheid opnieuw. De mixer moet nu onmiddellijk weer
aangaan.
●Mocht de stroom naar de mixer om enige reden onderbroken
worden en het apparaat stopt, dan draait u de snelheidknop naar
de uit-stand, wacht een paar seconden en selecteert de snelheid
opnieuw. De mixer moet nu onmiddellijk weer aangaan.
●De mixer werkt niet tenzij alle aansluitpunten correct afgedekt zijn.
●Als u hoort dat het apparaat te hard moet werken, dan schakelt
u het uit en verwijdert een beetje van de inhoud; u kunt ook de
snelheid verhogen.
tips ●Zet de machine uit en schraap de kom zo nodig met een spatel schoon.
●Het beste is om eieren eerst op kamertemperatuur te brengen, voordat
u ze gaat kloppen.

●Zorg dat er geen boter of eigeel op de garde of in de kom aanwezig is,
voordat u eiwit gaat opkloppen.
●Gebruik koude ingrediënten als u deeg gaat maken, tenzij het recept
iets anders voorschrijft.
●Wanneer u boter en suiker voor een taart vermengt, zorg altijd dat de
boter op kamertemperatuur is gebracht of dat u de boter eerst zacht
laat worden.
●Uw mixer is uitgerust met een ‘zachte start’ functie, zodat zo min
mogelijk gemorst wordt.
Als de machine echter wordt aangezet terwijl er een zwaar mengsel in
de kom zit, zoals brooddeeg, dan zult u merken dat de mixer er enkele
seconden over zal doen, voordat de gewenste snelheid is bereikt.
tips voor het bereiden van brood
belangrijk ●U dient de aangegeven maximum capaciteit nooit te overschrijden;
hierdoor kan het apparaat overbelast worden.
●Het is normaal dat de mengkop beweegt wanneer u de processor
zwaar belast, zoals bij het bereiden van brooddeeg.
●De ingrediënten zullen het beste mengen als u eerst de vloeistof in de
kom giet.
●Stop de machine af en toe om het deeg van de deeghaak af te schrapen.
●Er bestaat een groot verschil tussen verschillende soorten bloem en de
hoeveelheid vloeistof die ervoor nodig is. De kleverigheid van het deeg
heeft een groot effect op de belasting van de machine. Aangeraden
wordt om de machine in de gaten te houden wanneer het deeg wordt
gemengd; deze bewerking duurt niet langer dan 6-8 minuten.

De mixer is uitgerust met een elektronische snelheidsregeling die speciaal werd ontworpen om
een constante snelheid bij verschillende belastingen te handhaven, zoals bij het kneden van
brooddeeg of wanneer eieren aan een cakemix worden toegevoegd. Daarom is het mogelijk dat
u tijdens de werking snelheidsvariaties hoort, aangezien de mixer de snelheid automatisch aan
de belasting en aan de gekozen snelheid aanpast – dit is normaal.

●De machine altijd uitzetten en de stekker uit het stopcontact halen.

BELANGRIJKE INFORMATIE VOOR DE CORRECTE
VERWERKING VAN HET PRODUCT IN OVEREENSTEMMING
MET DE EUROPESE RICHTLIJN 2002/96/EC
Aan het einde van de levensduur van het product mag het niet samen met
het gewone huishoudelijke afval worden verwerkt. Het moet naar een
speciaal centrum voor gescheiden afvalinzameling van de gemeente
worden gebracht, of naar een verkooppunt dat deze service verschaft. Het
apart verwerken van een huishoudelijk apparaat voorkomt mogelijke
gevolgen voor het milieu en de gezondheid die door een ongeschikte
verwerking ontstaan en zorgt ervoor dat de materialen waaruit het
apparaat bestaat, teruggewonnen kunnen worden om een aanmerkelijke
besparing van energie en grondstoffen te verkrijgen. Om op de verplichting
tot gescheiden verwerking van elektrische huishoudelijke apparatuur te
wijzen, is op het product het symbool van een doorgekruiste vuilnisbak
aangebracht.

wortel/koriander-soep
ingrediënten ●25 g boter
●1 fijngesneden ui
●1 teentje verbrijzelde knoflook
●750 g wortelen in blokjes van 1,5 cm gesneden
(u kunt ook voor een lichter soep 600 g wortelen gebruiken, die in blokjes van 1,5 cm
gesneden zijn)
●koude kippenbouillon
●10-15 ml gemalen koriander
●zout en peper
methode 1 Smelt de boter in een pan, voeg de ui en knoflook toe en bak
totdat ze zacht zijn.
2Stop de wortels in de blender en voeg de ui en knoflook toe. Voeg voldoende bouillon toe om
het maatstreepje 1,5 op de mengbeker te bereiken. Zet het deksel en de vuldop op de beker
samen.
3Mix 5 seconden met pulsknop voor een grove soep of langer voor een fijner resultaat.
4Breng het mengsel over naar een pan, voeg de koriander en kruiden toe en laat de soep
gedurende 30 tot 35 minuten sudderen of totdat de soep gaar is.
5Voeg naar wens meer kruiden en extra vloeistof toe.
