General Power Tools Safety Warnings
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
1 Electrical Safety
a) Power lead plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed
(grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from
heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply.
Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) Do not operate powered products in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or
dust. Powered products create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
g) Keep children and bystanders away while operating any powered products. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure
that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
3) Fan Additional Safety Instructions
a) This Fan is not intended for use by persons (including children) with physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the Fan by a
person responsible for their safety.
b) Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the Fan.
c) Carefully read all instructions before operating the fan for the first time and save for future reference.
d) Do not use this Fan for anything other than its intended use. Do not use outdoors. Misuse may cause injury.
e) The installation of a residual current device (safety switch) is recommended to provide additional safety
protection when using electrical Fans. It is advisable that a safety switch with a rated residual operating current not
exceeding 30mA.
f) To protect against electric shock, do no immerse the fan, cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
g) Disconnect the power plug before dismantling, assembling or before cleaning and when the fan is not in use.
h) Avoid touching the moving parts of the fan.
i) Ensure the fan is on a dry and even surface.
j) Never insert fingers, pencils or any other objects through the guards.
k) The fan must have all guards assembled/fastened correctly, according to these instructions before use.
l) Do not operate in the presence of explosives and/or flammable fumes or liquids.
m) Never leave the fan running unattended.
n) Never carry the fan by the cord or pull the cord to disconnect from an outlet; instead, grasp the plug
and pull to disconnect.
o) It is recommended to regularly inspect the Fan. To avoid a hazard do not use the fan if power cord, power plug or Fan
becomes damaged in any way. Return the fan to the nearest authorised Service Centre for examination and/or repair.
4) Risk of Electric Shock
a) Never touch the mains plug and the socket with wet hands.
b) Do not pull the plug from the socket by pulling on the power cable.
c) Check the power cord and mains plug for damage before every use.
d) To avoid accidents due to electrical faults we recommend the use of sockets with a line-side current-limiting circuit
breaker (max. 30 mA nominal tripping current).
e) Check the appliance and the power cord regularly for any possible damage. Don’t use damaged appliances.
f) If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons
in order to avoid a hazard.

6) Unpacking
Unpack all the components from the box.
When unpacking the KP1007 600mm Industrial Mobile Cage Fan With LED Worklights, carefully inspect for any damage that may
have occurred during transit.
Check for loose parts, missing parts or damaged parts.
1. Ensure all packaging materials are disposed of as per your local council guide lines.
7) Assembly
1. The KP1007 600mm Industrial Mobile Cage Fan With LED Worklights comes fully assembled.
Therefore no assembly is required!
8) Operation
Caution: Prior to plugging in the unit ensure the 2 speed switch (6) is in the OFF (0) position.
1. Located at the rear of the motor unit is the 2 speed switch (6) (Fig.1).
2. Plug the unit into a wall socket and switch the socket ON.
3. Rotate the 2 speed switch (6) to the desired speed 0 – OFF, 1 – LOW, 2 – HIGH.
4. To turn the unit OFF rotate the 2 speed switch (6) to the OFF position (0).
9) Turning ON/OFF the LED Worklights
Note: Each 10W worklight has its own individual power button, giving you the option to only run one worklight if you wish.
1. Plug the KP1007 industrial mobile cage fan into your wall socket and turn the wall socket ON.
2. To turn ON each of the 10W workilights (2) of the cage fan, press the worklights
ON/OFF button (3) once located on the bottom of each 10W worklight (2) (Fig.2).
3. To turn OFF the 10W worklights (2) on the cage fan, press the worklights
ON/OFF button (3) a second time located on the bottom of each 10W worklight (2) (Fig.2).

10) Power Take Off Outlet (PTO)
WARNING: Prior to plugging an appliance into the outlet ensure the fan is switched OFF from the mains power.
Caution: This PTO outlet (5) is always ON when the mains power wall socket is turned ON .
The KP1007 Industrial Mobile Cage Fan is equipped with a PTO (Power Take Off) outlet (5).
The PTO outlet (5) allows you to plug in a separate appliance (380W 1.6A Max) into the fan.
The PTO outlet (5) is perfect for plugging in a worksite radio or mobile phone chargers (Fig.3b).
1. Plug your appliance into the PTO outlet (5) (Fig.3a).
2. Plug the industrial mobile cage fan into your wall socket and turn the wall socket ON.
3. Your appliance will now operate, while plugged into the power take off outlet (5) of the KP1007 (Fig.3b).
11) Fan Body Tilt Adjustment
Caution: Ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged, and the blades are stationary prior to making any adjustments.
1. To adjust the fan body tilt; loosen both locking tilt knobs (1 & 9) located either side of the heavy duty cage by
rotating anti-clockwise (Fig.4a).
2. Tilt the fan to the desired position (Fig.4b).
3. Re-tighten the fastening locking tilt knobs (1 & 9) located either side of the heavy duty cage by rotating
clock wise (Fig.4c).
4. Plug the fan back into the wall socket and turn ON to the desired speed using the 2 speed switch (6).

12) CARE & MAINTENANCE
Caution: Prior to making any adjustments ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged, and the blades are stationary.
1. Disconnect the unit from the wall socket prior to cleaning the unit.
2. Remove the front safety grill (12), by unclipping the safety grill retaining clips located on the outer rim of the front and
rear safety grills (11 & 12) (Fig.5a & Fig.5b).
3. Remove the retaining bolt located on the bottom of the safety grill using a phillips head screwdriver
(not provided) (Fig.5c).
4. Clean the fan only with a slightly damp, soapy cloth, but ensure it is not too wet. After wiping down the unit with the
soapy cloth, dry any wet spots with a dry paper towel or dry clean cloth.
5. Do Not spray or rinse with any form of liquid and/or detergents.
6. To remount the front safety grill (12) do the reverse action to steps 2-3.
7. Store the fan in a clean dry area when not in use.
8. To prevent excess build up of dust and debris on the fan blade and grills purchase the optional accessory KP1002
750mm fan cover from your retailer (Fig.5d).
The fan cover will prevent dust build up leading to less cleaning of the fan blades and fan grills being required.
13) Replacing the 1.6A Fuse for the Power Take Off Outlet
Warning: Fan will continue to run, even if the PTO (5) fuse has blown.
Caution: Prior to replacing the fuse ensure the unit is turned OFF and unplugged, and the blades are stationary.
1. Disconnect the unit from the wall socket prior to replacing the 1.6A Fuse.
2. Using a blade screwdriver, unscrew the fuse holder (4) by rotating anti-clockwise (Fig.6a) and lift, the fuse holder(4) out
of the PTO housing (Fig.6b).
3. The fuse should come out with the fuse holder (4). Once removed, replace the 1.6A fuse (not supplied) (Fig.6c).
Note: Purchase the replacement fuse from your local hardware or electronics store.
4. Insert the replacement 1.6A fuse into the fuse holder (4) and place it back into the PTO (5) housing and retighten by
rotating clockwise, do not over tighten.(Fig.6d).
5. Plug the fan back into the wall socket, and turn the fan ON, to test the PTO (5) is working correctly.
