Remove the “top” piece (the plate with
holes) off so you can add components
inside.

Solder 1 red wire to the (+) terminal and 1
black wire to the (-) terminal on the back
of the solar panel.
Start Connecting Wires

Pull these wires through “top” panel of the
Lego box. Glue panel to the Lego piece.

Solder the Rectifying Diode to the Red wire
coming from the solar panel, the black line on
the diode faces away from panel. The diode
serves as a valve for electricity to travel in one
direction.
Cover the diode and wire with Heat
Shrink tubing. Use a heat gun or
soldering iron edge to shrink tubing over
the connection.
Pro$Tip:$You$can$shorten$
the$diode$wires.$Wrap$red$
wire$around$diode$end$
then$it’s$easy$to$solder.$

Connect the wires from the Solar Panel to
the Micro USB Charging Module (blue
board). This will connect your Panel to
the Battery. Insert wires into terminal
holes then add solder to secure.

Connect your battery to the other end of
the Micro USB Module (blue board). The
battery can be charged via the solar
panel or a wall outlet.

You can insert the battery wires into the
terminals as shown. Then secure with solder.

On the Blue Micro USB Board, attach (and
solder) a Red wire to the OUT+ terminal and a
Black Wire to the OUT-terminal.

Solder the available Red wire from
charging module (blue board) to the
(IN+) terminal on the USB Booster
(green board).

Next connect the Switch to the IN-terminal on
the USB Booster (green board) with a Black
Wire. The wire can connect to either terminal
on the Switch.

Attach the available Black Wire from the
Micro USB Module (blue board) the other
Switch Terminal.

Glue
Secure components to case with glue or
other adhesive. We recommend using a
hot glue gun for added adhesive, these
ports will experience repeated use.

Of note, the charging module (blue board)
slides under the 1x6 arch piece as shown here
without wires. This micro USB port is for
charging the battery directly from a wall outlet.
