1. Quick reference guide - Control System
SL 033
The Klafs control system offers you the possibility of comfortably operating your sauna. For each
bathing type, there are preset standard programs for your use.
You can adjust the settings of each standard program. These adjustments are stored in an individual
program. There is one individual program available for each bathing type.
The following operating values are changeable within the allowed adjustment ranges from the
control panel before and during the operation:
dTemperature
dHumidity
dStart- and operational period.
LCD-Display
Main switch Control panel
Bathing types
Sauna
Sauna
with temperatures of 85 °C to approx. 95 °C and a low relative humidity.
.With saunas with panel heating, temperatures to max. 90 °C can be reached.
Infrared
with wall temperatures of 50 °C to max. 60 °C and extra mild climate. This leads to an air
temperature of approx. 35 °C to 40 °C.
Softclima
Softclima
as mild and damp bath, with temperatures of 48 - 60 °C and an adjustable humidity.
Infraclima
with wall temperatures of 50 °C to max. 60 °C and an adjustable humidity. This leads to an air
temperature of approx. 35 °C to 40 °C.
.With both types of bathing the temperature is regulated and the humidity controlled by a
microprocessor.
Each type of bath in your Klafs sauna cabin should benefit your health and well-being.
Therefore: Bathe for the benefit of your health and your well-being!
This applies to:
dTemperature
dHumidity
dBath duration.
Orientate yourself not only on the given bathing times, but also on your condition. Leave the
cabin as soon as you no longer feel well.

2. Intended Use
The control system is intended for use with the approved sauna heater with or without an evaporator,
registered by Klafs with the German VDE or TÜV (Technical Inspection Authority).
The control system is to be used only as intended. Adherence to the instructions for operation,
assembly and service as prescribed by the manufacturer is required as well. The manufacturer is not
responsible for the damage resulting from unauthorized use or arbitrary changes to the control system.
The user alone carries the risk.
The control system may only be operated and maintained by persons, who are familiar with its usage
and informed of the dangers involved. Follow the relevant German VDE regulations as well as other
generally recognized safety rules!
3. General safety information

dElectrical wiring inside the cabin and the cabin walls must have silicone insulation.
dBefore activating the control system always make sure that no inflammable objects are on or near
the sauna heater. FIRE RISK!
dDo not use the sauna to dry your laundry!
dNever pour concentrated aromatic oils or extracts directly onto the sauna heater. Only use the

8. Maintenance and Cleaning
The high humidity of the Softclima/Infraclima does not harm the wood of your cabin.
Without fail, the cabin must be aired out properly after use and the final drying phase must be
complied with.

Recommendation: Cleaning the sauna cabin with cabin light.
.Prerequisite: Switch On the main switch of the control system.
Switch On light switch.
Dirty benches
Wipe the wooden surfaces with a damp cloth.
If necessary, sand the upper side of the benches with fine sandpaper.
The benches can also be washed off with a 3 %-hydrogen peroxide solution (available in specialized
stores).
Disinfectants are highly corrosive!
Therefore, pay attention to the relevant safety regulations!
Use household rubber gloves!
The outer cabin walls are impregnated or glazed.
In no case glaze, paint or impregnate the inner panelling or the cabin inner walls and
