Cautions for installation
T e relevant law obliges users to ave a qualified electrician carry out wiring work for power supply. Work by disqualified
persons may cause fire and electric s ock.
Wiring work for communication cables needs tec niques and experiences. For t is type of wiring work, please consult to your
local sales agent.
According to t e standard for electric work and ot er relevant regulations, install communication cables at t e place away
from power cables. T e failure to install cables separately may cause fire, electric s ock and communication troubles.
Do not install t e product on rolling table or sloping place.
Dropping or falling may cause damage on your product.
In installation, avoid t e place exposed to tremor or s ocks, w ic may cause damages on your product.
Even if your product is waterproof, do not install it slanted place of water leakage, w ic may cause a s ort circuit.

W en putting your ands into t e inside of equipment, be sure t at plug is already detac ed form an outlet or circuit-breaker is
turned off.
Be careful not to expose t e product to benzene, t inner or ot water.

Cautions for Abnormality
W en power cable is broken (exposure of core or s ort-circuit), do not fail to replace broken cable wit new one. Failure to
replace broken power cable may cause fire and electric s ock.
W en detecting any abnormalities in equipment (communication is not available, images do not be displayed on screen, calling
is not available, or abnormal sound is eard), immediately detac plug from an outlet, or turn off circuit breaker or detac
batteries from equipment (in case t at equipment as no plug) before requesting repairs to sales agent or A/S center. Keeping
connection to power supply may cause fire and electric s ock.
W en alien substances go into equipment, immediately detac plug from an outlet, or turn off circuit breaker or detac batteries
from equipment (in case t at equipment as no plug) before requesting repair to sales agent or A/S center.
In t e case of smoke or smell of unknown origin from equipment, keeping use it may cause fire and electric s ock. Detac

Safety Instructions, Warnings, and Cautions of Eac System
- T is equipment is electronically precision equipment, so do not arbitrarily disassemble it.
- In installation of t e product, do not fail to follow t e specifications (specifications offered by KOCOM).
- Do not touc t e product wit alien materials (for example, sticker, magnet, opener, metal c opstick, etc.)
or insert t em into t e product (it may cause reduction of t e product's durability and armful results to user as well).
- In t e rainy season, water is likely to penetrate into t e product along t e wiring. T us, U-type finis ing is recommended
as a desirable met od of end part finis ing.
Video P one
- In assembling t e product, be careful t at wall-mounting pegs s ould not contact wit wirings.
- In connection of cables, strip its insulation off as muc as necessary (Excessive stripping off its insulation may cause s ort circuit).
- Be careful t at signal cables s ould not be wired wit A/C wiring (it may cause poor display quality).
- Do not drop andset (its damage or s ort-circuit due to drop may make communication impossible).
- W en connecting wires to terminals, use standard screwdriver (ot erwise, screws may loosen, w ic will result in disconnection of wiring).
- Do not clean CRT screen wit wet towel or clot . W en water penetrates into t e product, it may cause s ort-circuit.
Do not fail to clean it wit dry towel or soft clot .
- Do not install camera at t e place w ere water penetrates or leaks. Penetration or leakage of water may cause electric s ock or s ort circuit.
4-Line Related Products
- In wiring work, be careful t at wirings s ould keep away from t e wall-mounting pegs or ot er furniture at regular interval. Contact of wiring wit
wall-mounting pegs, etc. may cause s ort-circuit, electric s ock and fire (it is applied to all products wit wall-mounting pegs).
- Use t e prescribed standard wirings. Non-standardized wirings may give adverse effects on operation of product
(it is applied to bot video p one and CCTV).

Main Body
1. Bus type wiring t at is adopted for connection between monitor and guardroom makes
product installation easier.
2. Since t e product is adjusted to AC 220V or AC 110V, no additional DC adapter is needed.
Instructions for Rig t Use
Do not place t e product near umidifier or eater. Hig temperature and umidity may
cause unexpected mec anical troubles of t e product.
Do neit er drop main body and front door camera nor great impact on t em.
Do not close main body to t e equipment emitting strong magnetic force
(TV, speaker, etc.)
(It may cause trembling or distortion of screen image w ic result in breakdown.)
In cleaning, do neit er contact t e product wit wet ands nor use volatile substances suc
as benzene or t inner.
To maintain ig -definition of screen image, was main body and window part of camera
from time to time.
As t is equipment is an electronic precision instrument and ig -voltage occurs in its
interior, do not disassemble t e equipment arbitrarily.
All t e above-mentioned cases constitute t e causes of products breakdown.
Pay attention to t ese instructions w en andling t e product.
Instructions for Installation
Appropriate circuit breaker s ould be installed in interior wiring part of building.
W en disconnecting power cable form connector, fix t e cable not to contact wit second-
order side or case.
T e color of GND wire s ould be green or yellow and be fixed to c assis
(GND-marked position) using was er wit proper elasticity toget er.

Standard eig t in main body installation is

Standard eig t of front door camera is 1,400~1,450mm from
t e floor to t e lowest part of single- ole box (for concealed
type, 1,400~1,450mm from t e floor to t e camera box).
In t e event t at eig t of front door camera is out of range
from 1,250mm at t e lowest to 1,550mm at t e ig est,
adjustment of lens angle alone cannot control video image
you want.

Self-alarming Test
Warnings in Installation
Purpose of Test
T is function offers self-testing by operating system in order to minimize damages due to system breakdown in emergencies(sensor test
is unavailable. Sensor test s ould be carried out after sensor operates. Before sensor operation test, please contact administration office
or KOCOM A/S eadquarter).
Test Met ods (general functions)
After pressing t e "Test" button,
Pressing t e emergency (fire, gas leakage and
s 1) button, concerned alarming sound rings
and concerned lamp flickers (For fire and gas
leakage, concerned lamps are turned on).
Fire and gas leakage function is unavailable in
KHV-446T and 456T.
Pressing t e "Reset" button, alarming lamp is turned off and
alarming sound stops.
Pressing t e "Stop" button, alarming lamp and alarming stop
LED flicker, w ile alarming sound does not ring (For fire and
gas leakage, lamp and LED are turned on).
W en installing monitor and front door camera, avoid w ere direct lig t or back lig t come into.
Install t e front door camera w ere rainwater cannot reac . Standard eig t of monitor is 1,450~1,500mm from t e floor to
t e center of CRT.
Install t e front door camera after cement of installed wall becomes fully dry and solid.
W en installing t e product in t e wintertime w ose temperature is below 5, connect t e equipment after 2
ours from installation. Temperature gap between indoor and outdoor makes dews inside of t e monitor and
camera, w ic may cause mec anical troubles of equipment.
W en installing t e monitor and front door camera, avoid w ere equipment can be exposed to direct eat or armful gas.
Closing up pipe as s own in t e figure removes t e temperature difference
between indoor and outdoor as well as prevents t e umidity and frost on t e
window of front door camera.

Adjusting t e Video Display and Call Sign Volume (T is function is available only w en LCD screen is turned off).
Adjusting t e Video Display (Color)
Press t e Function key twice.
Among LEDs at t e left-bottom side of LCD, 2nd LED is
turned on.
Using up/down key, adjust t e brig tness of LCD (8 grades).
After adjusting t e brig tness, pressing end key or waiting for
5 seconds, 2nd LED among t e LEDs at t e left-bottom side
of LCD is turned off and mode for adjusting t e screen
display is ended.
Press t e Function key once.
Among LEDs at t e left-bottom side of LCD, 1st LED is
turned on.
Using up/down key, adjust t e color of LCD (8 grades).
After adjusting t e color, pressing end key or waiting for 5
seconds, 1st LED among t e LEDs at t e left-bottom side of
LCD is turned off and mode for adjusting t e screen display is
ended.
Adjusting t e Video Display (Brig tness)

Press t e Function key t ree times.
Among LEDs at t e left-bottom side of LCD, t e3rd LED is turned on.
T en, using up/down key, adjust t e call sign volume.
After adjusting t e call sign volume, pressing end key or waiting for 5
seconds, 3rd LED among t e LEDs at t e left-bottom side of LCD is
turned off and mode for adjusting t e call sign volume is ended.

If a visitor presses t e call button of front
door camera, call sign rings from t e indoor
monitor and its video screen is automatically

Pressing "Talk" button or "Lobby/Front Door" button,
talk becomes available.
After Talk, pressing t e Talkor Lobby/Front
Doorbutton, video screen is faded out. However, t e
talk over 5 minutes automatically blocks t e call.
To make talk again, press t e Lobby/Front
Doorbutton.
If you want to identify visitor wit out talk
If a visitor presses t e call button of front door camera, call sign rings from t e indoor monitor and its video screen is
automatically is turned on, displaying t e visitor.
. If you want to identify t e visitor wit out talk, please see t e video screen wit out pressing t e talkbutton.
(After 30 seconds, video screen is automatically turned off).

Call sign rings at t e main body for ouse. T en, pressing t e talkor guardbutton, communication wit guard becomes
available.
After you press t e guard button and
guard respond to your call, communication
wit guard becomes available.
W en communication between ouse and
guard exceeds 5 minutes, communication is
automatically ended.
W en front door or telep one bell rings during t e
communication between ouse and guard,
press t e function button of flickering LED for
communication.

Telep one line
In direct call to ot er ouse old, internal line LED continues to flicker until t e ot er side receives call. If t e ot er side does not
receive t e call, internal line LED is turned off after 30 seconds.
Press t e internal linebutton on main body.
Wit in 5 seconds, press t e numbers of building and ouse to be called.
After 5 seconds from pressing t e internal linebutton, call connection is ended.
If calling again, after pressing t e internal linebutton, press t e number of building and ouse to be called.
Ex) Call to House No. 302 in Building 102
0+1+0+2[4 digits of building No.]+0+3+0+2[4 digits of ouse No.] Pressing 4 digits of building No. and 4 digits of ouse No. in
order, call to t e concerned ouse becomes available.
(Call to administration office: w en system is installed in integrated administrative office): Pressing t e guard button for
more t an 3 seconds, integrated administration office is called.

(Maximum call time of incoming call from ot er ouse is set at 5 minutes.)

In addition, w en one of sender or receiver disconnect t e line, t e
talk is automatically ended.
In incoming call from ot er ouse, extension
LED on main body flickers and bell tolls.
T en, if you want to make telep one

Detoured Communication wit Common Gate
Telep one Call
If guard button is pressed at a ouse w en detoured communication is being made between
guard and a visitor?
W en call connection is made between guard and a
visitor at common gate, guard notice to a visitor t at
user is now absent.
W en guardbutton is pressed at
a ouse, call signs are eard at
guard.
Simultaneous calls from outside telep one line, guard and front door
(communication wit two parties at a time is unavailable)
Priority Call
In case of simultaneous calls from outside
telep one line, guard and front door (called
LED flickers), t e first pressed button among
Telep one line, guard and front door is first
linked.
For telep one call connection, press t e "talk" button
(Telep one line LED is turned on).
In t e case of simultaneous calls from Telep one line, guard and front door,
outside telep one call among t em is automatically connected wit first priority.
After outside telep one call is ended, pressing t e talkbutton,
guard and front door are connected in order (Telep one line LED is turned off).
Simultaneous calls from guard and front door
In case of simultaneous calls from guard and front door
(LEDs of guard and front door flicker), t e first pressed
button between t e two is first linked.
Pressing t e "talk" button, communication wit
guard becomes available (Guard LED is turned on).
Operation in Call during t e Communication

In absence, a visitor calls to ouse at t e common gate camera
If a visitor calls to ouse at t e camera of common gate
and t e equipment is set at Absencemode w ile user is
absent, call signs are also eard at guard.
W en call connection is made between guard and
a visitor at common gate, guard notice to a visitor
t at user is now absent.
W en telep one rings, pressing t e Telep one lineor talk
button, communication becomes available.
For outgoing call, press t e Telep one linebutton and telep one
number in order.

Release of Security Mode
Press t e security button now being set to turn off security
LED (release of security mode).

W en security alarming sound is eard, close t e door
and press t e security 1or security 2button, and
concerned LED will be turned off and security mode is
released.
Setting t e Security Mode W ile Being Out Just before going out, press t e Absence
button, and Absence LED will be turned on.
.After pressing t e "Absence" and security
button in order, user s ould go out from t e ouse
t roug t e door wit security sensor wit in 60
seconds. At t is time, t e door wit security
sensor s ould be closed.
If t e door wit security sensor is opened after 60
seconds from users pressing t e Absenceand
"securitybutton in order, security alarming sound
is eard after 30 seconds from t e time w en t e
door opens.
Absence LED flickers for 60 seconds after user
presses t e "Absence" and "security" button. User
s ould go out t roug t e Gate wit in 60
seconds (considering t e time required in users
pressing t e outdoorand securitybutton and
going out, standby time is set at 60 seconds).
W en returning to ome and opening t e door
(security LED is turned on), user s ould press t e
stop/reset button wit in 30 seconds to release t e
security and Absence mode. At t is time, t e door
wit security sensor s ould be closed.
If user fails to release t e Absence and security
mode wit in 30 seconds, alarming sound is sent to
guard for emergency call
(t e equipment recognizes t at security sensor is
working).

Setting t e Wireless Telep one
In case of calls from Gate camera or guard, or incoming telep one call, user can communicate wit ot er party using
main body as well as 900MHz wireless telep one.
For outgoing general telep one call, call wit Gate and guard, and direct dialing call, user can use wireless telep one
for communication.
After anging up t e wireless telep one, press t e talkbutton to communicate wit Gate
(guard or common gate).
Press t e Wireless Setting button on t e main body of Home Auto. T en, press t e function,redial,and 1buttons on
wireless andset in order. After 2 ~ 3 seconds, user can ear beep sound from t e andset, w ic indicating t at setting is
completed.
