KOGAN SMARTERHOME™ PURIFIER
& HUMIDIFIER AIR WASHER 2S+

Before using the product, read this user guide carefully and keep it for future reference.
Warning
•To avoid electric shock and fire, do not allow water, liquid, or any flammable
detergent to enter the product.
•Do not spray insecticide, perfume, or other flammable liquids onto or near the
product.
•Before connecting the power supply, ensure that the voltage of the product is
consistent with the local power supply voltage.
•This product cannot replace normal ventilation, daily dust collection or kitchen
exhaust systems.
•Ensure the product is always situated on a flat, even surface when in use.
•Leave at least 30cm of space on the back and sides of the product and at least
50cm of space above the product when using.
•Ensure both the filter and its cover are properly installed before using.
•Never insert anything into the air inlet or outlet to avoid damage to the product or
physical injury.
•Add some water to the water tank after removing the humidification module. The
water surface should never exceed the overflow holes on both sides.
•Do not add essential oils to the water tank.

Filter
•Remove the packaging from the filter before using for the first time.
•Ensure the machine is unplugged before removing or installing the filter.
•When the light ring continuously flashes in red, the filter should be replaced.
•Please wipe the dust on the filter regularly, do not wash or use it repeatedly.
•Please use the filter specially designed for this product.
Steps of Installing Filter
Unplug the power socket of the machine before replacing or installing the filter.
Step 1
Invert the machine and rotate the base along the direction marked “OPEN”.

Take out the filter from the machine.

Remove the packaging of the filter.

Install the filter into the machine.
Step 5
Install the base, then rotate and tighten the base along the direction marked “CLOSE”.
Note: Press and hold the power button for 7s to reset after installing a new filter. When using
the device for the first time, remove the packing of the filter before using but do not reset the
device.

Install App
Download the “Kogan SmarterHome” app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
Register
If you do not have a Kogan SmarterHome™ account, register or sign in with a verification
code sent by SMS.
To register:
1. Tap to enter registration page.
2. The system automatically recognises your country/area. You can also select your
country code manually. Enter your email address and tap ‘Next.’
3. Alternatively, you can select ‘Register by mobile number’ and enter the verification
code sent to you by SMS.
4. Create a profile on the next page to define your location and room.
CONNECT TO SMARTERHOME™ APP

Set device in pairing mode
When the device is first turned on, it may automatically enter pairing mode (the Wi-Fi
indicator light may be rapidly flashing).
If not automatically in pairing mode when powered on, you can manually set the device in
pairing mode by pressing and holding the Timer button for 5+ seconds until a beep is heard
and the indicator light begins rapidly flashing.
Add device through network
5. Once registered, tap “+” in the upper right corner of the app’s home page to add a
new device through the network.
6. Select the product type from the list of options in the app (Air Treatment > Air
Purifiers).
7. Ensure that the device is in pairing mode, with the example of indicator, and tap
“Confirm light is rapidly flashing”.

8. Upon successfully confirming pairing mode, enter your Wi-Fi details. It is important
that your SmarterHome™ device and the app are connected to the same Wi-Fi
network during setup.
9. The device will commence the pairing process and connect to the app. Ensure your
Wi-Fi router, mobile phone, and the SmarterHome™ device are kept close until
connection is complete.
10. After successfully being added, you will have the option to rename the device and
assign it to a location. It will now be listed on the app’s home page. Tap the device
listing to enter its control page.
Notes:
•The device and the app have to use the same Wi-Fi network.
•The device is only compatible with 2.4Ghz networks.

Adding “SmarterHome” to the Google Home app
1. From the home page of the Google Home app, select the “+” icon to access the
‘Add and manage’ page.
2. Select ‘Set up device’, then under the Works with Google banner, select ‘Have
something already set up?’
3. Select the search bar and type ‘Smarter Home’ to locate the Kogan
SmarterHome™ service.
GOOGLE HOME CONTROL
Note:
You will need to have set up a Google Home account prior to linking your
Kogan SmarterHome™ device.

4. Tap ‘Authorise’ to grant Google permission to access the SmarterHome™ app and
your devices.
5. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using
either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used
to register your account.

6. Once connected, the app will display any compatible devices linked to your
SmarterHome™ account. From here you can assign them to rooms and set up any
routines.
7. Tap on any of the devices to view a list of available commands.
Note:
Please note that Google Home can only control the base/core functions of any
compatible SmarterHome™ devices. To make full use of this product’s smart
functionality, please use the Kogan SmarterHome™ app.

Adding “SmarterHome” to the Alexa app
1. From the home page of the Alexa app, select the “” icon in the top-right and
select Skills & Games from the sidebar.
2. Select the search bar and type ‘Smarter Home’ to locate the Kogan
SmarterHome™ skill.
AMAZON ALEXA CONTROL
Note:
You will need to have set up an Alexa account prior to linking your Kogan
SmarterHome™ device.

3. Tap ‘Enable to Use’ to add the Kogan SmarterHome™ skill to Alexa.
4. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using
either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used
to register your account.
5. Tap ‘Authorise’ to grant Alexa permission to access the SmarterHome™ app and
your devices.

6. Once connected, the app will perform a search and display the devices linked to
your SmarterHome™ account.
7. When your devices have successfully connected to the Alexa app, you will be able
to control your Kogan SmarterHome™ devices via Alexa’s voice commands.
Note:
Please note that Alexa can only control the base/core functions of any compatible
SmarterHome™ devices. To make full use of this product’s smart functionality,
please use the Kogan SmarterHome™ app.

When connected to the power socket, a beep will sound for one second, and the machine
enters pre-processing mode. The light ring will cycle blue, cyan, green, yellow, red, purple
and after 30 seconds of pre-processing, the colour corresponding to the current air quality
will be displayed.
Power Button
1. Touch the power button to turn on the machine. The appliance will beep once and
the High mode of wind speed indicator illuminates.
2. Touch the button again a beep will be heard, and the machine will turn off.
Wind Speed Button
1. When the unit is powered on, press the wind speed button and a beep will be
heard. The wind speed will cycle between Sleep-High-Auto and the corresponding
indicator light will illuminate.
2. When set Sleep, the fan will run at low wind speed; when turning to High, the fan
will run at high wind speed. When turning to Auto, the wind speed will
automatically adjust according to air quality.
3. When the air quality is poor, the wind speed is automatically adjusted to the high
mode and the light ring will illuminate red. When the air quality is normal, the wind
speed is automatically adjusted to the mid mode, and the light ring will illuminate
yellow. When the air quality is excellent, the wind speed is automatically adjusted
to the low mode and the light ring will illuminate blue.
Notice: Touch the wind speed button, the night light will white gradient for about 3 seconds.
In the sleep mode, if no buttons are pressed for 5 seconds, all lights turn off until a button is
pressed again.
OPERATION

Timer Button
1. During operation, press the timer button to set intervals of 2, 4 and 8 hours. A beep
will sound for each interval, and the corresponding indicator will illuminate.
2. Press the timer button again; the timer indicator turns off and the machine will work
continuously without timer.
3. When the time is enabled, the machine begins to count down during operation.
When the set time is up, the fan will stop working and all lights will be off.
Night Light Button
1. During operation, touch the light control button. The light degree can be set
between soft light and standard light mode with accompanying beeps.
2. Touch the light control button again and the LED light turns off.
Note: The light control button cannot operate when the appliance is not powered on.
Humidification Module Instructions
1. Before use, remove the packing material from the wet curtain.
2. Remove the humidification module and place it on a flat surface. Peel off the water
tank cover and place the wet curtain in the water tank.
3. Add an appropriate amount of pure water to the water tank below the overflow
hole; do not exceed the overflow holes on both sides.
4. Close the cover of the water tank and place the humidification module on the grill
of the air outlet of the air purifier.
5. Control the product with the application from a compatible smart device.
6. After use, keep the wet curtain dry.
Note: Because the wet curtain is affected by the environment, it will yellow slightly during
use, which is normal. It is recommended to replace the wet curtain promptly after 3 months
of use or severe yellowing.

Maintenance
1. Ensure the machine is unplugged before maintenance.
2. Do not immerse the air purifier in water or any liquid.
3. Do not use abrasive, corrosive, or flammable cleaners (such as bleach or alcohol) to
clean any part of the unit.
4. Do not wash the filter.
5. Do not use a vacuum cleaner to clean the filter.
6. Sterilise the filter under sunlight regularly.
Cleaning and storage
1. Ensure the machine is powered off and unplugged
2. Use a soft cloth with a neutral cleanser to clean away any dust or debris from the
surface of the machine and the air inlet/outlet.
3. After the machine body is completely dried, put on the dust cover/bag and place it
in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
4. Keep the humidification module wet curtain dry after use, so as not to affect the
performance of the product.
5. If not in use for an extended period, turn on the machine for a few minutes from
time to time to ensure good performance.
Note: Ensure not to drop any water into the machine when cleaning the air outlet.
CLEANING & CARE

Unable to add device to application
a. Make sure the device is powered on and close to your mobile phone when adding a
device.
b. Make sure your mobile phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network and your Wi-Fi
router is working properly.
c. Make sure the device is ready for configuration. Refer to the instructions under
“Connect to SmarterHome™ App” above.
d. Make sure the connected devices have not reached the maximum number of Wi-Fi
router. If not, please disconnect the network of some devices.
e. Make sure that the password of the Wi-Fi network is correct when adding a new
device.
f. Make sure no non-English letters are used to name your Wi-Fi network.
Controlling the device with 2G/3G/4G/5G networks
When adding a device for the first time, it is required that the mobile phone and device be
connected to the same Wi-Fi network. After adding the device successfully, it can be
controlled through a 2G/3G/4G/5G network.
Removing a device
Press and hold the Timer button for more than 5 seconds; a “beep” will be heard, signifying
the device is removed, and the Wi-Fi indicator light will flash rapidly.
