•Only authorized persons can install or repair the unit. Do not
attempt to service this appliance yourself, doing so could void the
warranty.

Provide adequate ventilation when bathing to avoid damage to
the electronic components due to high humidity levels.
•Do not apply excessive force to the spray wands. Product may
break.
•Do not install this seat in a location where water might be
splashed on the product.
•Do not supply electrical power to the unit until the plumbing
installation work has been completed. It could cause the product
to malfunction.

•Allow the unit to cool to room temperature before installation or
operation. The thermal protectors may trip during storage or
transportation in warm weather causing the unit to not operate.
User Instructions
•Before installation or for long-term storage of this product, protect
the product by storing it in its original carton. Failure to do so
may result product damage (such as scratches, loss of function)
and/or dangerous situations (such as damage to the cord).
•Verify the power cord and water hose are not susceptible to
damage. Ensure the clips (provided) are attached evenly along the
water hose and power cord. If the clips were not installed, attach
them at this time. This will prevent twisting or damage to the
water hose and power cord and will extend the life of the
product.

Grounding Instructions
•This product should be grounded. In the event of an electrical
short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by
providing an escape wire for the electric current. This product is
equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding
plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly
installed and grounded.
DANGER: Risk of electric shock. Improper use of the
grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock.
•If repair or replacement of the cord or plug is necessary, do not
connect the grounding wire to either flat blade terminal. The wire
with insulation having an outer surface that is green with or
without yellow stripes is the grounding wire.
•Check with a qualified electrician or service personnel if the
grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if in
doubt as to whether the product is properly grounded.

Wiring Requirements
WARNING: Risk of electric shock, fire, or personal injury.
This product must be grounded and connected only to a
dedicated, nominal 120 VAC, 60 Hz circuit protected by a
minimum 15 A Ground-Fault Circuit-Interrupter (GFCI) or
Residual Current Device (RCD). If the product is not
grounded or a higher voltage circuit is used, electric shock,
fire, or personal injury may occur.
NOTICE: This product is factory equipped with a specific electrical
cord and plug to permit connection to a proper electric circuit. Make
sure that the product is connected to an outlet having the same
configuration as the plug. Do not use an adapter with this product.
Do not modify the plug provided – if it will not fit the outlet, have
the proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. If the product
must be reconnected for use on a different type of electric circuit, the
reconnection should be made by qualified service personnel.
NOTICE: Do not use an extension cord with this product.
NOTICE: Consult your local electrical codes before determining the
connection type and the electrical outlet location. The temporary
connection may not be permitted by local electrical codes and the
electrical outlet location may be specified.

Wiring Requirements (cont.)
Preferred Connection
Determine the electrical outlet location. The electrical outlet
should be located within 12″(30.5 cm) of the toilet to
accommodate the length of the power cord. An extension cord
cannot be connected to the seat’s power cord.
Route the electrical wires, then install and ground the electrical
outlet. This electrical outlet must be a dedicated, nominal 120
VAC, 60 Hz circuit protected by a minimum 15 A Ground-Fault
Circuit-Interrupter (GFCI) or Residual Current Device (RCD). Do
not insert the plug into the electrical outlet at this time.
Temporary Connection
NOTICE: Unless the cover screw is grounded through the house
wiring, attaching the adapter grounding screw tab to the cover
screw will NOT ground the unit. If there is any doubt whether
cover screw is grounded, have it checked by a qualified electrician
or service professional.
A temporary connection with a two-prong adapter may be made
where local codes permit, provided that the adapter is grounded.

Test the Functions
Wrap the toilet seat with plastic wrap. This will prevent water
from spraying from the toilet during testing.
Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet. The seat will go
through a power-up sequence where the power indicator LED
will flash amber. Once power-up sequence is complete and the
tank is full, the indicator will turn green.
Face the toilet, then place your hand or a damp wash cloth on the
right side of the seat approximately 1/3 from the front of the seat
(as illustrated).
Proceed to the ″Keypad and Panel Diagram″and “Operation”
sections in the Homeowner’s Guide to test the various seat
functions.

Operation
A – Stop: Press this icon to stop the activated function of cleaning
or warm air blower. The deodorization function is activated when
the seat sensor detects a user. Press this icon to turn off the
deodorize function. The deodorize function will reactivate for the
next user.
B – Air Temp: Press the icon to cease the flushing action if the
flushing function is launched after sitting. The indicator will
display the current wind temperature. When the dry function is
activated, hold the Air Temp icon to change the wind temperature
and change the cycle of the wind level from off, to lower (104°F
(40°C)), to medium (122°F (50°C)), to high (136.4°F (58°C)). This
function will stop automatically after 4 minutes of continuous
drying.
C – Pulsate: Press the icon to activate the pulse massage function
if the front or rear function has already been activated. This
function will be invalid if the front or rear function is not
activated.
D – Rear: Press the icon to activate the rear wash function and
display the current washing strength. Press and hold this icon to
change the wash level from off (room temperature), to low (95°F
(35°C)), to medium (98.6°F (37°C)) to high (102.2°F (39°C)) once it
is activated. The maximum continuous wash time is 1 minute.
E – Front: Press this icon to activate the front wash function and
display the current wash strength. Press and hold this icon to
change the wash level from off (room temperature), to low (95°F
(35°C)), to medium (98.6°F (37°C)) to high (102.2°F (39°C)) once it
is activated. The maximum continuous wash time is 1 minute.
F – Water Temp: Press this icon to select and set the temperature
of the water in the toilet tank during the power on status. Every
time the icon is pressed, the temperature level will change from
off (room temperature), to low (95°F (35°C)), to medium (98.6°F
(37°C)) to high (102.2°F (39°C)).
G – Seat Temp: Press this icon to select and set the temperature
of the seat during the power on status. Every time the icon is
pressed, the temperature level will change from off (room
temperature), to low (95°F (35°C)), to medium (98.6°F (37°C)) to
high (102.2°F (39°C)).
H – Power: Press this icon to activate (long audible sound) or
disconnect (short audible sound) the seat power.

Operation (cont.)
I – Light: Press this icon to shift between the night lamp being off
(long audible sound) or automatic (short audible sound). In the
off mode, the night lamp is deactivated. In the automatic mode,
the night lamp will activate with detection of surrounding light
and remain on for 5 seconds after the surrounding light is no
longer detected.
J – Energy-Save: Pressing this icon turns the energy save function
on or off. After 24 hours of inactivity, the power indicator LED
changes from green to amber and the heated seat temperature
changes to the lowest setting. After 48 hours of inactivity, the
heated seat temperature will switch to off. Once the seat is
activated, the power indicator LED light will change to green, the
temperature changes to the previous user setting, and the timer
restarts the energy save mode.

Clean the Nozzle
NOTE: The spray wands can only be extended for cleaning when
the seat is not activated or occupied.
Raise the cover and seat.
Pull out one of the wands and hold for cleaning.
Clean the spray wand with a soft-bristled brush.
Release the wand to allow the wand to retract.
Repeat above steps for the other spray wand.

Change the Deodorization Block
NOTICE: Use care when removing the deodorization cover. Excess
force may cause damage to the deodorization cover.
Remove and retain the deodorization cover by pressing the clip.
Remove and discard the original deodorization block.
Install the new deodorization block.
Reinstall the cover.
Push the clip to
remove cover.

Clean the Screen
Turn off the water supply at the supply stop.
Disconnect the water supply hose from the seat.
Using a long-nosed pliers carefully remove the screen from the
seat inlet.
Clean the screen with a soft-bristled brush.
Reinstall the screen.
NOTICE: To avoid product damage, use care not to crossthread the
connection between the waster supply hose and the seat.
Turn the water supply hose 1/4 turn past hand tight to reconnect
the water supply hose to the seat.
Turn on the water supply.
Check all connections for leaks and make any adjustments as
needed.

Remove the Seat
Turn off the water supply at the supply stop.
Flush the toilet to relieve any pressure from the water supply
hose.
NOTE: The seat will contain water until drained. Refer to the ″Drain
the Water from the Seat″section.
Unplug the seat from the electrical outlet.
Disconnect the water supply hose from the T-valve.
Push in the release button.
Slide the seat forward to disengage the seat from the mounting
plate.

Drain the Tank
NOTICE: Drain the water from the seat if the seat will not be used
for long periods of time, or there is the possibility of freezing
temperatures.
Turn off the water supply and unplug the unit.
Remove the seat from the toilet. Refer to the ″Remove the Seat″
section.
Use a coin to rotate the drain plug counterclockwise 1/4 turn.
Remove the drain plug.
Drain the water from the seat.
Reinstall the drain plug.
Care and Cleaning
For best results, keep the following in mind when caring for your
KOHLER product:
IMPORTANT! Do not immerse product in water.
•Always test your cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area
before applying to the entire surface.
•Wipe surfaces clean and rinse completely with water immediately
after applying cleaner. Rinse and dry any overspray that lands on
nearby surfaces.

material and workmanship for one year from date of installation.
Kohler Co. will, at its election, repair, replace or make appropriate
adjustment where Kohler Co. inspection discloses any such defects
occurring in normal usage within one (1) year after installation. Kohler
Co. is not responsible for removal or installation costs. Use of in-tank
toilet cleaners will void the warranty.
