l You can use the PT-!02AN to distribute a balanced mono audio signal, via readily available adapter cables
The PT-102SN 1:2 s-Video DA is a micro-sized high performance 1:2
distribution amplifier for s-Video (Y IC) signals.
ThePT-I02SN:
• Accepts a single s-Video input and distributes it to two identical outputs
via 4-pin connectors
• Has a bandwidth of 150MHz, ensuring that it remains transparent even in
the most critical applications
• Has separate chrominance and luminance gain controls
• Is ideally suited to work with the Pico TOOLS PT-I02AN 1:2 Audio DA
To achieve the best performance:
• Connect only good quality connection cables, thus avoiding interference,
deterioration in signal quality due to poor matching, and elevated noise
levels (often associated with low quality cables)
• Avoid interference from neighboring electrical appliances that may
adversely influence signal quality and position your Kramer PT-I02AN I
PT-I02SN machine away from moisture, excessive sunlight and dust
3.2 About the PT-102SN 1:2 s-Video DA
The PT-102AN 1:2 Audio DA is a micro-sized high performance 1:2
distribution amplifier for unbalanced! stereo audio signals.
The PT-I02AN:
• Accepts a single unbalanced stereo audio input and distributes it to two
identical outputs using 3.5mm mini connectors
• Has separate left and right gain controls for optimizing signal levels
• Is ideally suited to work with the Pico TOOLS PT-I02VN 1:2 VideoDA
and the Pico TOOLS PT-I02SN 1:2 s-Video DA

1 Switch OFF the power on each device before connecting it to your PT-102AN. After connecting your PT-102AN, switch on
its power and then switch on the power on each device

To connect the PT-I02AN 1:2 Audio DA, as the example in Figure 3
illustrates, connect the following':
1. Connect an unbalanced stereo audio source (for example, an unbalanced
stereo audio player) to the IN 3.5mm mini connector.
2. Connect the two OUT 3.5mm mini connectors to up to two unbalanced
stereo audio acceptors, as follows:
• Connectthe OUT 1connectorto anunbalancedaudioacceptor(for
example,anunbalancedstereoaudiorecorder)
• ConnecttheOUT 2connectorto anunbalancedaudioacceptor(for
example,apower amplifierwithspeakers)
3. Connect the 12V DC power adapter to the power socket and connect the
adapter to the mains electricity.
4. Adjust the left and right gain level, if required.

1 Switch OFF the power on each device before connecting it to your PT-102SN. After connecting your PT-102SN, switch on
its power and then switch on the power on each device

To connect the PT-I02SN 1:2 Audio DA, as the example in Figure 4
illustrates, connect the following':
1. Connect an s-Video source to the IN 4-pin connector (for example, an
s-Video player).
2. Connect the two OUT 4-pin connectors to up to two s-video acceptors
(for example, displays).
3. Connect the 12V DC power adapter to the power socket and connect the
adapter to the mains electricity.
4. Adjust the C and Y gain level, if required.

You can cascade the unit with other high quality distribution amplifiers to
distribute a source to more than two outputs (for example, connect each of the
outputs of the PT-I02AN to the input of the Kramer l05A 1:5 Stereo Audio
Distribution Amplifier', to create a 1:10 DA, as illustrated in Figure 6).

When it is necessary to handle more than one input (that is, to be able to
select one of several inputs), you can increase the number of inputs by
connecting the output of another switcher to the input of the machine (for
example, connect the output of the Kramer 4xlS 4x1 s-VideoMechanical
Switcher! to the input of the PT-102SN, to create a 4x2 switcher, as
illustrated in Figure 5).
