OPTIWAVE 8300 C Marine – closed cleaning facility
The OPTIWAVE 8300 C Marine cargo level radar is equipped with a closed
cleaning facility. A ball valve is tted on the side of the radar, allowing to
connect a steam hose or portable cleaning unit.
The cleaning outlet is pointing directly into the antenna / wave guide,
securing thorough cleaning of all important parts internally.
How to operate the portable cleaning unit?
1. Remove the protective plug on the ball valve.
2. Screw the swivel nut onto the ball valve.
3. Make sure the portable cleaning unit is pressurized
before opening the valve on the OPTIWAVE.
4. Press the hand pump valve and clean for at least 5 seconds
(depending on type of contamination and type of cleaning uid).
5. Close the ball valve on the OPTIWAVE, disconnect the unit and
mount the plug/bolt for safety.
