the center line of which the hood will be mounted according to.
2. Draw a horizontal line at 25 ½” above an electric element cook top, or 30 ½” above a gas
cooking surface.
3. Place the chimney mounting brackets on the wall approx. ¾” from the ceiling.
4. Mark the wall where the center holes of the brackets are.
5. Place the hood mounting bracket on the wall aligning the central notches to the vertical
reference line.
6. Mark the wall at the center of the holes in the bracket.

Mounting The Hood
1. Hook the body onto the hood mounting brackets.
2. Balance the hood by adjusting the mounting brackets. Gently lower the hood until it securely
engages the bracket.
3. Attach the backdraft damper aps to the exhaust outlet at the top of the unit.
4. Be sure that the damper is rmly attached while the aps can move freely.
5. Attach ductwork to the unit with screws that are included on the two sides of the exhaust outlet.
5
Connecting the Hood
1. Decide the pathway of the ductwork connecting the ventilation unit to the exterior of the house.
2. The shorter and straighter the ductwork, the better the unit will perform.
3. Longer runs, elbows, transitions and other modications will reduce the performance of the
hood. Larger diameter ducts may be required for optimal performance with longer ducts.
4. Attach an adequate length of 6” diameter duct to the exhaust outlet of the unit.
5. Do not exhaust into a shaft, ue, or pipeline that is being used to exhaust the fumes from
other appliances burning gas or other fuels.
6. Install a roof or wall cap on the exterior of the house. Connect round metal ductwork to cap
and work backwards towards hood location. Use duct tape to seal the joints between sections.
Electrical Connection
1. Electrical wiring must be done by a qualied professional in accordance with all applicable
codes and standards. Turn off electrical power at service panel before wiring.
2. Do not extend the cord with an extension cord or splitter that is not supplied with the hood.
3. Grounding of this product is compulsory. Do NOT remove ground prong of the plug.
Telescopic Chimney
1. Attach the inner telescopic chimney sleeve on to the top wall bracket. It can be secured with
two screws (included) from both sides.
2. Attach the outer telescopic chimney sleeve into the recessed area at the top of the hood.
3. Secure the outer telescopic chimney sleeve with three screws (included) from the inside of
the hood body.

1. Remove the grease lters individually by pulling on the latch. This will disengage the lter from
the hood. Tilt the lter downward and remove.
2. Wash the lters, taking care not to bend them. Allow them to dry completely before reinserting.
3. When inserting the lters, make sure that the latch handle is visible from the outside.
4. Align the rear of the lter tabs with the slots in the crease. Pull out the latch, push lter into
position and release.
5. Make sure the lter is securely engaged after assembly.
NOTE: The grease lter should be cleaned frequently; minimum every two months, or more for
frequent to heavy use.
Oil Capture Tray
1. The oil capture tray is located inside the unit. It can be revealed by removing the center lter.
2. The oil capture tray collects excess grease and oil from within the unit. It should be cleaned

MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
NOTE: Before servicing or cleaning unit, switch power off at the service panel. This will prevent power
from being switched on accidentally.
1. Hot water with liquid soap can remove most stains easily.
2. Always rinse the surface with clean water and wipe dry with a soft clean cloth to prevent water
marks.
3. Harder to remove stains, discolourations, and persistent deposits can be removed with a
non-abrasive household cleaner or stainless steel polishing powder with a little water.
4. For stubborn stains and deposits, use a scouring pad or soft bristle brush along with a
stainless steel cleaner and water. Always rub in the direction of the polished lines, or “grain” of
the stainless steel nish. Avoid using too much pressure as it may mar the surface.
5. Do not allow deposits to remain for long periods of time. Do not use ordinary steel wool or
steel brushes to clean the range hood.
Stainless steel is one of the easiest materials to keep clean. Occasional care will help preserve its ne
appearance for years to come.
6. Do not allow salt solutions, disinfectants, bleaches, or cleaning compounds to remain in contact
with the stainless steel surface for prolonged periods of time. Many of these compounds
contain chemicals that can be harmful to the stainless steel nish. Always rinse with water
after every cleaning and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
