INSTALL THE BRACKETS
Outside Mount
- Center the headrail over the window opening at the
 desiredheightandlightlymarkeachendonaat
mounting surface.
- Mark 2” from each end of the headrail.
- Center the installation brackets or extension brackets
on your marks and mountushagainstthemounting
surface using the screws provided. Use drywall anchors
if necessary.
Inside Mount
- Measure 2” from each jamb for bracket location. If more
than two brackets came with your order, space
additional brackets evenly between the two and mark
their location.
- Mount brackets using the screws provided. Be sure the
front edges of the brackets are aligned and level to
each other. Shim the brackets if necessary.

INSTALL THE BRACKETS Cont.
End Mount
- Position the end mount brackets so that the top of the
attached installation brackets equal the ordered height
of the shade. Mounting surface must be vertical and
 at.
- Mount brackets using the screws provided. Drywall
mounting is not recommended.
INSTALL THE SHADE
- Fit the front channel on top of the headrail onto the front
lip of the installation brackets.
- Push the headrail up and back until it snaps into the
brackets.

INSTALL OPTIONAL HOLD-DOWNS
- Lower the shade and place the pins from the hold-down
brackets into the end caps on the bottom rail.
- On the mounting surface, mark the bracket hole
locations.
- Check that the brackets are level and attach them to
the mounting surface using two screws.

INSTALL THE HANDLE
- Attach the handle at the center of the bottom rail. For
shades over 60” wide, two handles will be provided.
Space these handles evenly across the rail.
- Hook the prongs of the handle onto the lip of the bottom
rail.
- Rotate the handle down until is snaps onto the bottom
rail.
- If your shade has a middle rail, attach the other handle
at the center of the middle rail.
With Top-down/Bottom-Up and Duo-Lucent shades,
attach the middle rail handle upside down as shown.

LEVEL THE BOTTOM RAIL (If Necessary)
- Lift the bottom rail to locate the pockets on the
underside of the rail.
- Gently pull down on the bottom rail to fully insert the
7/64” allen wrench key into the pocket. The key is fully
inserted when the ring on the key abuts to the pocket.
- Lift up on the bottom rail slightly before turning the Allen
wrench key. Turn the key clockwise to raise that side of
the bottom rail, or counter-clockwise to lower it.
- One quarter turn of the key equals approximately 1/4”.
 -Adjusttheendpocketsrst.Thenadjustanyadditional
pockets as necessary to maintain equal tension across
the bottom rail.
For Monaco and Riviera Materials
Adjust the Shade Height (If Necessary)
If the shade height needs adjusted or the bottom rail is
not level, the cord on the underside of the bottom rail may
need adjusting.
If the Ferrule comes o󰀨 the cord
Onceyouaresatisedwiththeshadeheightmakesure
the Ferrule is properly seated back in the pocket and tuck
away any extra cord.

REMOVE THE SHADE
- Lower the shade approximately 4”.
- While holding the headrail, push back on the bottom tab
of the installation bracket to release the bottom edge of
the headrail.
- After releasing the bottom edge, roll the back of the
headrail down and out from the bracket.
CARE AND CLEANING
Regular light dusting with a feather duster is all the
cleaning that is needed in most circumstances. For
deeper cleaning, vacuum gently with a soft brush
attachment. Do not vacuum Triple cell fabrics.

Troubleshooting
Problem The shade is hard to raise or lower, or will not raise or lower.
Solution Make sure that the shade fabric is not caught between the installation bracket and the headrail.
Check that the headrail and installation brackets are level and aligned. Shim the installation brackets
to level the headrail, if necessary.
If hold-down brackets are used, make sure they have been released before operating the shade.
Problem The shade raises or lowers unevenly or the bottom rail is uneven when fully raised.
Solution Check that the headrail and installation brackets are level and aligned. Shim the installation brackets
to level the headrail, if necessary.
Check to see if there is an obstruction in the shade’s path. If a shade hits an obstruction as it is
lowered it may become misaligned. This may cause the shade to be angled or tilted when fully raised.
Try lowering the shade completely, then raising it to allow it to self-correct.
Adjust the shade. See “Level the Bottom Rail (If Necessary)”
Problem Theshadewillnottintotheinstallationbrackets.

headrail, if necessary.

INSTALL THE SHADE
Operable - Standard Brackets - (A.)
- Position the shade so cords face you.
- Slip headrail into the installation brackets so the front
of the installation bracket slides under the front groove
on the top of the headrail.
- Gently roll the back of the headrail up and push back
to snap into place.
- Tighten the tab screw.
Operable - Swivel Brackets - (B.)
- Place swivel bracket in the open position.
- Place the headrail against the back of the swivel
brackets.
- Rotate the swivel arm to snap the locking tab under the
headrail.
- Tighten the tab screw.
Non-Operable - Standard Brackets - (C.)
- Loosen the tab screw on each bracket.
- First push the headrail into the brackets and then push
the bottom rail into the brackets. Make sure fabric is
not caught between the tabs and the rails.
- Tighten the tab screw on each bracket. Do not
overtighten. If necessary, gently move the fabric
forward to access the screw.
Non-Operable - Swivel Brackets - (D.)
- Position the moveable tab outward on each bracket.
- With the front side of the fabric facing you, lift the shade
into position so rails are against the back of the brackets.
- Rotate the moveable tabs against the rails to lock into
place. Make sure shade is tightly secured.

Non-Operable Sharing Headrail w/Rectangular Shade
- Install rectangular shade into end mount brackets.
(End mount bracket installation instructions can be
found with the rectangular shade).
- Before attaching non-operable angle to the headrail,
install the top rail of the angle to the mounting brackets.
- Fan out the angle towards the headrail of the
rectangular shade. The headrail of the rectangular
shade has a magnetic strip attached to the top of the
 rail.Fabricstackhasametalllerstripinsertedintothe
bottom cell of the angle.
 -Positionthellerstriponthebottomcellfotheangle
 fabricstack,aligningtheedgeushwiththeedgeof
the fabric stack. Important: A magnet is attached to the
 llerstrips,ending3”shortoftherightedgeto
accomodate the installation brackets.
- Place the fabric stack on top of the rail onto the magnet.
Adjust the placement of the fabric as necessary.
Bottom Cell
The filler strip is flush
with the both edges
of the angle fabric stack.
A magnet is attached to the filler strip,
ending 3" short of the right edge,
to accommodate the installation brackets.

CARE AND CLEANING

INSTALL CORD TENSION LOCK
- The revised American National Standard
for Safety of Corded Window Covering
products requires if corded window
products are used in the home, cord
cleats or cord tension locks must be
properly installed.
- See separate instructions included for installation of
the Cord Tension Lock for child and pet safely.
INSTALL OPTIONAL HOLD-DOWNS
- Lower the shade and place the pins from the
hold-down brackets into the end caps on the
bottom rail.
- On the mounting surface, mark the bracket
hole locations.
- Check that the brackets are level and attach them to
the mounting surface using two screws.
REMOVE THE SHADE
Standard Installation Brackets - (A.)
- Fully raise the shade.
- Loosen the tab screw on each installation bracket to
headrail. Note: For non-operable shades, gently pull
fabric away from window and loosen the tab screw to
release the headrail.
Swivel Installation Brackets - (B.)
- Fully raise the shade.
- Pull the tab to rotate the swivel arm to open position and
release the headrail.
Rectangular Shade - (C.)
- Lower the shade approximately 4”.
- While holding the headrail, push back on the bottom tab
of the installation bracket to release the bottom edge of
the headrail.
- After releasing the bottom edge, roll the back of the
headrail down and out from the bracket.

installation brackets to level the headrail, if necessary.

Solution Lower the shade completely to allow it to “self-correct” skewing.
Check that the headrail and installation brackets are level and aligned. Shim the installation brackets
to level the headrail, if necessary.
Adjust the bottom rail. See “Level the Bottom Rail (If Necessary)”
Problem The shade will not stay in the raised position.
Solution To lock the shade in the raised position (or anywhere along the path to the fully raised position),
engage the cordlock by pulling the cord toward the outside of the shade.
Problem The tassel cord is too long.
Solution The tassel cord length is usually
2
/ 3 the length of the fully closed shade.
To shorten the tassel cord:
■Slide the tassel up the cord revealing the knot.
■Make a new knot below the tassel at the desired location.
■Trim the excess cord below the knot.
■Slide the tassel back down over the knot.

PREPARE THE STAND-ALONE ARCH
- Remove the left end cap from the rail.
Important: On an imperfect arch, one edge of the
fabric stack will be straight and even, the other edge
will be trimmed and uneven.
- Slide the fabric stack toward the left side of the rail.
- Fan out the fabric and slide the top cell into the fabric
channels of the rail. If you have a tension support cord
pull the cord taut as you fan out and slide the fabric
onto the rail.

Outside Mount (A.)
- Center the arch over the window opening at the
 desiredheightandlightlymarkeachendonaat
mounting surface.
- Mark 3” from each end of the headrail.
- Center the installation brackets or extension brackets
on your marks and mountlevelandushagainstaat
mounting surface using the screws provided. Use
drywall anchors if necessary.
Inside Mount (B.)
- Measure 3” from each jamb for bracket location. If more
than two brackets came with your order, space
additional brackets evenly between the two and mark
their location.
- Center and mount the brackets on your marks with the
longer side of the bracket against the mounting surface
and the tab screw or shorter side facing up.
End Mount (C.)
- Slightly remove the end caps from the bottom rail. Do
not remove them all the way.
- Insert the short end of the specialty end mount bracket
under each of the end caps and into the small fabric
channels on the bottom of the rail.

PREPARE THE ARCH SHARING A HEADRAIL WITH A
CORDLOCK SHADE
- Remove the left end cap from the rail. On Top-Down/
Bottom-Up or 2-On-1 Headrail shades, pull the left
cordlock out 1/2”. Do not pull the cordlock all the way
 o󰀨theheadrail.
Important: On an imperfect arch, one edge of the
fabric stack will be straight and even, the other edge
will be trimmed and uneven.
- Slide the fabric stack down toward the left side of the
rail.
- Important: If a tension support cord was included with
your arch, be careful not to pull out the cord from the
cell it is threaded through. If necessary, rethread the
support cord through the center cell of the arch.
 -Fanoutthefabricandslidethellerstripintothefabric
channels of the rail. If you have a tension support cord
pull the cord taut as you fan out and slide the fabric
onto the rail.
- Center the arch on the rail.
- Insert the end cap or cordlock back into the rail.

INSTALL THE ARCH SHARING A HEADRAIL WITH A
CONTINUUM, ACCU-RISE, SURE-LIFT OR AUTO-LIFT
HEADRAIL
- The headrail of the shade has a magnetic strip attached
 tothetopoftherail.Thefabricstackhastwometalller
strips inserted into the top and bottom cell of the arch
fabric stack. Important: On an imperfect arch, one
edge of the fabric stack will be straight and even, the
other edge will be trimmed and uneven.
 -Positionbothllerstripsinthetopandbottomcellsof
 thearchfabricstack,aligningtheiredgesushwiththe
edges of the fabric stack. Important: A magnet is
 attachedtothellerstrips,ending3”shortoftheright
edge to accomodate the installation brackets.
- Place the fabric stack on top of the rail with the colored
side of the fabric facing you.
- On the right side of the headrail, lay the bottom cell of
the fabric stack onto the magnet and fan out the fabric.
- On the left side of the headrail, lay the top cell onto the
magnet.
- Center the arch on the rail. If necessary, adjust the
 llerstripinthetopandbottomcellsofthefabricstack.
- Install headrail into End Mount Brackets

INSTALL THE BRACKETS - QUARTER CIRCLE SHADE
Outside Mount (A.)
- Center the quarter circle shade over the window
opening at the desired height and lightly mark each end
 onaatmountingsurface.
- Mark 3” in from each end of the rails. Important: Be
sure the bracket locations allow for the quarter circle to
completely cover the window opening. If additional
brackets came with your order, space the additional
bracket for each rail evenly between the two end
brackets and mark their location.
- Center the installation brackets on your marks and
 mountlevelandushagainstaat
mounting surface using the screws provided. Use
drywall anchors if necessary.
Inside Mount (B.)
- Mark 3” in from each end of the rails.
- Center and mount the brackets on your marks. The
front edges of the brackets should be level and aligned.

PREPARE THE QUARTER CIRCLE SHADE
- The shade has two rails: one horizontal and one
vertical rail
- Fit the long side of the specialty end mount bracket into
the small fabric channels on the horizontal rail.
- Fan out the fabric.
- Connect the two rails by sliding the vertical rail down
onto the short side of the specialty end mount bracket.

A. Standard

Arch Support Clips (if applicable)
- Attach clips to the mounting surface throught the hole
in the top of the clip (for inside mounts) or through the
slot at the back of the clip (for outside mounts).
 -Installtherstclipatthetopofthearchabovethe
center cell of the fabric.
- If necessary, space additional clips evenly along the
arch so the clips are spaced no more than 19” apart.
Arch Support Hooks (if applicable)
- Count the number of hooks supplied to support your
shade.
 *Oddnumberofhooks:Positionthersthookatthetop
center of the window opening. Position the next two
hooks at 45ofrom the center hook. Space the rest of
the hooks evenly. Do not position the hooks lower than
45ofrom the bottom of the arch.
 *EvenNumberofHooks:Positionthersttwohooksat
a 45oangle from the bottom center of the arch. Space
the remaining hooks evenly.

INSTALL ARCH/QUARTER ARCH INTO CLIPS/HOOKS
- Support the fabric as you install the arch
- If a center support cord is used:
* Loosen the screw on the top arch support clip or hook.
If one does not exist, place a screw at the top center of
the arch.
Wrap the top end of the support cord around the screw.
The support cord should be tight to help support the
headrail.
Tighten the screw on the top arch support clip or hook.
- If support hooks are used:
* Carefully use the pointed end of the hooks to puncture
the fabric between the glue lines (at least 1/8” into the
cell)
Continue to support the fabric until all arch support
hooks or arch support clips are engaged.
- If support clips are used:
* Carefully tuck the shade into the clips.

PREPARE THE CIRCLE SHADE
- Stand the cylinder up with the loose cords at the top.
The top becomes the outside curve of the circle.
- Flatten the cylinder into the circle by gently pushing
down and out on the top.
INSTALL THE CIRCLE SHADE
- Place the shade in the window opening with the cords
centered, one at the top, the bottom, the left side and
the right side of the shade.
- Wrap the left end cord around the screw holding the left
arch support clip.
- Pull the cord taut and wrap the right end of the cord
around the right arch support clip.
- Tighten the screw.
- Use scissors to trim any excess horizontal cords.
- Repeat the process for the vertical cords with the top
and bottom arch support clips.
- Attach the disc cover if desired.
CARE AND CLEANING
Regular light dusting with a feather duster is all the
cleaning that is needed in most circumstances. For
deeper cleaning, vacuum gently with a soft brush
attachment. Do not vacuum Triple cell fabrics.
INSTALL THE CIRCLE SUPPORT CLIPS OR HOOKS
Outside Mount (A.)
- Use a ruler and a level to place the clips at the widest
vertical and horizontal points of the circle.
- Attach four arch support clips to the circle mounting
surface: one at the top center, one at the bottom center,
one at the center of the left side and one at the center
of the right side Position the outer edge of the clips
where you want the outer edge of the circle.
- Install the clips with a screw through the slot at the
back of the clip. Do not tighten the screws yet.
Inside Mount (B.)
- Attach four arch support clips to the circle mounting
surface: one at the top center, one at the bottom center,
one at the center of the left side and one at the center
of the right side. Do not tighten the screws yet.

INSTALL THE BRACKETS
Outside Mount (A.)
- Center the headrail over the window opening at the
 desiredheightandlightlymarkeachendonaat
mounting surface.
- Mark 2” from each end of the headrail.
- Center the installation brackets or extension brackets
 onyourmarksandmountushagainstthemounting
surface using the screws provided. Use drywall anchors
if necessary.
Inside Mount (B.)
- Measure 2” from each jamb for bracket location. If more
than two brackets came with your order, space
additional brackets evenly between the two and mark
their location. Allow a minimum of 15” between the
brackets at the motor end for the battery wand.
- Mount brackets using the screws provided. Be sure the
front edges of the brackets are aligned and level to
each other. Shim the brackets if necessary.

INSTALL THE SHADE
External Satellite Eye
- Plug the 6-pin satellite eye connector into the 6-pin port
on the side of the controller housing, on the back of the
headrail. Be sure the plug is oriented correctly.
Important: Handle the external eye carefully to avoid
damaging the internal eye. Do not touch the infared eye.
Important: For the shade to recognize the satellite eye,
the eye must be plugged into the 6-pin port before the
shade is connected to the power source.
- To mount the headrail, hold the shade so that the front
of the headrail faces you.
- Slip the headrail onto the installation brackets, so that
 thefrontofthebrackettsunderthegrooveofthe
headrail.
- Push the headrail up and back until it snaps into place.
- Inspect the installation brackets to verify the back of the
headrail is securely snapped into the base of each
bracket. Also the front edge of each bracket must be in
the groove of the headrail. If any brackets are not
installed correctly, remove the shade and reinstall.
- To mount the satellite eye, for infrared operation, choose
a location where the infrared signal from the remote is
not obstructed. Check that wire is not caught or pinched
in the brackets or headrail.
Important: For infrared operation, do not mount the eye
in direct sunlight or bright, focused light such as from
 halogenoruorescentlightxtures,tracklighting,
spotlights, or neon lights.
 -Usingasinglescrew,mountthehingedangetothe
 wallthroughthecenterholdontheange.Thesatellite
eye should face down.
 -Aftermountingthehingedange,swivelthesatelliteeye
upward to the correct angle for receiving an infrared
signal from the remote control.

Battery Wand Clip
- Attach the battery wand clip to the headrail.
Important: Position the clip so that the battery wand will
be between installation brackets.
- Hook the battery wand clip onto the back channel of the
headrail.
- Rotate the clip down until it snaps into place.
- Push the headrail up and back until it snaps into place.
Caution: Be sure the power cable or satellite eye cable
does not become pinched by the brackets or headrail
during installation; damage or overheating of
components could result. Do NOT connect the battery
wand to the power cable prior to installing the shade.

CONNECT THE POWER SOURCE
Battery Wand
- Squeeze the cap latch to release the cap and remove
from the battery wand.
- Install the batteries according to the instructions on the
battery wand label. AA alkaline batteries are
recommended for use with Battery-Powered shades.
Lithium or rechargeable batteries are not recommended.
- Replace the cap, align the tab with the end of the wand
and press the cap on until it latches.
- To mount the battery wand into the battery wand clip,
Align the battery wand with it’s socket toward the motor
side end cap.
- Push the battery wand straight up into the battery wand
clip until it snaps into place. Check to make sure the
battery wand is secure.
Caution: Be sure the cable does not become pinched
by the battery wand clip during installation. Damage or
overheating of components could result.
- On the back of the headrail, connect the power cable
(coming from the shade) into the socket on the battery
wand.
Satellite Battery Pack
- To mount the satellite battery pack, decide where you
want to attach the wall mount bracket. It may be
mounted in any orientation.
- Mark the screw holes and attach the bracket with the
screws provided.
- Position the battery wand so the power cable is easily
connected to the socket, and snap the battery wand
into the bracket.
- Install the battery wand cover with the slot aligned to the
socket.
- Plug the power cable from the shade into the extension
cable, and plug the other end of the extension cable
into the socket in the battery wand.
- Secure the power supply cable using wire retainers.
If hiding the cable behind the shade, make sure it does
not impede the operation of the shade.
