Read & Relax Book Station Assembly Guide
Your new book station provides students with a cozy space to read—as well as a handy book storage space.
Follow these instructions to assemble the unit. You will need a standard screwdriver. All other tools and hardware
are provided. Begin by checking the list below to make sure you can identify the components. While it is possible
for one person to assemble this unit, we strongly recommend that you work with a partner.

Assembly note: When assembling the unit, make sure the
rounded edges of the base, seat, and short dividers are
always facing the front.
1Place 4 dowels in the inner pre-drilled holes on top of
the base (as shown). Turn the base on its side. Position
the short dividers so that the rounded edges face the
front of the unit. Secure each divider with 2 screws. (If
some of the dowels t loosely in their holes, we suggest
using a drop of white glue to help hold them in place.)

WARNING:
ADULT ASSEMBLY REQUIRED—This product
contains hardware that, before assembly, can pose a choking
hazard to children under the age of 3 years. Care should be
taken when unpackaging and assembling this product.

Place dowels in the pre-drilled holes along the exposed
side of the seat. (You should now have 7 dowels
sticking out on that side.) Turn the unit on its end, and
then position the remaining side panel. Secure with 5
k/d ttings and 5 bolts.
6Turn the unit upright and attach the seat cushion to the
hook & loop fastener. Your book station is ready to use!

Lower the unit back to the oor. Place dowels in the
bottom pre-drilled holes on the sides of the seat back.
Position the seat back so the pre-drilled holes for the
k/d ttings face the back of the unit, and so the hole on
the seat back’s edge lines up with the hole in the side
panel. Secure with a k/d tting and bolt.
Note: The back panel will be slightly angled.

Place 4 dowels into the inner pre-drilled holes on top
of the short dividers. Lower the seat onto the dowels.
Secure with 4 screws.

Lower the base back to the oor. Put the back panel
into position along the back of the unit.
Note: The back panel will not be fully secured
until the side panels are attached.

Turn the base and seat on its end. Place dowels in the inner
pre-drilled holes on the edges of the base and seat, as well
as in the 2 holes on the edge of the back panel. Insert k/d
ttings in the 4 outer pre-drilled holes on the base and seat.
Then secure the base and seat to a side panel with 4 bolts.
Note: The k/d ttings must be aligned with the bolts to
correctly secure the panel. To help align the k/d ttings,
use a standard screwdriver to move them into place.
